On day two of the girls golf state tournament, we catch up with the Huskies from Naperville North and Lauren Beadreau from Benet Academy.
Benet Academy, Naperville Central, Naperville North, and Neuqua Valley all traveled to Philips Park to compete in the West Aurora Girls Golf Regional.
In the final conference meet for Neuqua Valley and Naperville North, the Huskies look to finish the season undefeated in dual meets.
Nine area golfers qualified for state this year down in Decatur, Illinois. Naperville North’s entire team traveled down again after placing 6th last year.
The rain stayed away from Orchard Valley golf course, home for the West Aurora girls regional golf championships.
Naperville North returns to the girls golf state championship tournament while Benet Academy makes its first ever appearance. Waubonsie Valley’s Arushi Singh also making the trip down to Decatur for the third year in a row.
Hinsdale Central enters its own regional as the team favorite but the top individuals going in are Naperville North’s Lauren Nay and Benet Academy’s Lauren Beaudreau.
Wheaton-Warrenville South took home its third straight conference championship, besting Naperville North by five strokes with a 314 team score.
