Nearly every instructor want their students to swing and “hear the whoosh, after the ball.” The claim the clubhead is actually moving fastest just after impact.
This might be true if the ball isn’t in the way, but the collision with the ball slows the clubhead significantly.
It doesn’t matter how great your swing is until there’s a ball in your path.
