A new project in summer 2019 has been expanding the 1st teeing area, providing new driving angles off the tee. This change was made to provide greater flexibility and more teeing space for the opening hole and to meld the practice putting green, putting course, 1st tee and terrace in front of the Lodge together into one large, flowing space. The new tees for the 1st hole shorten the first hole (the Black tee moves up from 615 yards to 553, the Blue tee from 563 to 538 and the Green tee from 539 to 512), a change that allows for more strategy as well as temptation. The White and Gold tees are not affected.
