Hi, my name is Michael Samaniego golf professional at Chalk Mountain Golf Course. Chalk Mountain Golf Course is a championship level golf course with 3 professional golfers, including myself. And today I’m going to talk to you about golf. Let’s talk about how we get into a good golf stance. First of all, uh, three basic fundamentals to golf: grip, aim, and stance. As we get into our golf stance, we want our feet, our toes, knees, hips, and shoulders parallel to our intended target. From there, we bow from our hip. We, uh, crease our ankles, bend our ankles just a little bit, allowing our shoulders to hang naturally from our, from our, our arms to hang naturally from our shoulders. Uh, we want a good golf stance for several reasons. Uh, basically, the most important reason is so that we get into a good, uh, athletic posture. An athletic posture is one which, uh, you’re bowed from the hip, uh, your body weight is over the balls of your feet allowing your arms to drape off of your shoulders. Uh, this protects your lower back in the event of, uh, uh, any injury, protects it from any injuries. And it allows more of a free, unencumbered golf swing when you’re in that athletic posture. Club goes into our hands. From that point there, just take the club away, nice posture and pose.
