Hotline LIVE – Reaction to Rangers financial losses, and a preview of tomorrow’s Premiership card

Daniel Caw is joined live Daily Record’s Scott Burns and Sunday Mail’s Scott McDermott on the Hotline Live podcast to react to Rangers’ financial losses of £17m for the financial year, Philippe Clement’s Aberdeen vs Rangers press conference, and preview a packed midweek of Premiership action.

Rangers have announced an operating loss of £17.2million in the past financial year.

The Ibrox club released the annual report and accompanying financial statement for the year ended 30 June 2023 which is in stark contrast to last year’s. Twelve months ago the club posted a slim operating profit of £252,000 but it’s a sorrier sight now with cash being haemorrhaged.

Dundee are the opponents for Brendan Rodgers and his Celtic table toppers, who are yet to lose in the Premiership but are ahead at the summit only on goal difference with the flying Dons matching them all the way.

The Dons face a massive week with Rangers at Pittodrie before a Hampden showdown with Celtic in the League Cup.

  2. Celtic fans praying Rangers fold and cease to exist 😲. Then they can watch their own team slowly decline into complete pointlessness because isn't beating Rangers and the despicable hatred that goes with it all that's the reason for supporting you're club period 😂. You'll have to start transferring this hatred towards Hearts then. Then what?😂. No Rangers no Celtic. Fact.

  3. Quick fix in any walk of life is more expensive. I remember the 90's so i know its not easy BUT Rangers fans are killing own club with this pressure of competing with Celtic. Forget titles / celtic, live within your means, stop this borrowing / debt cycle, & build slowly on stable ground. This chucking money at it is not working , yet gers fans want more spent !!. Spend money on larger stadium, that would give you better chance, long term. Modern football is about "money"

  4. Here we have 3 hurting huns. Sevconians chased Gio, Beale and are turning on PC the biggest thing wrong with sevco is the expectations from the sevconians demands. You are not Rangers anymore WATP = We are totally potless. Building up Aberdeen now (the real deal ) 😂😂😂 after 8 games seriously stfu, are these journalists ffs.

  5. Bad management and hiring Hampden ,got it,lets go back a few years see what was said about Celtic, the unofficial view and you cant get their viewership

  6. at what time in the game will Tavpen switch off at the back post and give Aberdeen the game?
The gift that keeps on giving
    HH COYBIG

  7. The noise Mcdermott makes breathing in he'll be lucky to see rangers win something again
