Men’s Golf Off to Hawaii for Kapolei Invitational

RICHMOND, Ky. – Eastern Kentucky University’s men’s golf team will begin its final competition of the Fall in the Aloha State of Hawaii at the Kapolei Invitational.
 
The 54-hole tournament will be played at the Kapolei Golf Club on the island of O’ahu beginning tomorrow and conclude Thursday.
 
EKU will face 14 other teams including Hawaii, Arkansas State, Texas State, Miami (Ohio), Air Force, Utah Tech, San Diego, Army, Lamar, St. John’s (N.Y.), University of British Columbia, UC Riverside, Utah Valley, and Butler.
 
Competing for the Colonels are Anders Larson, Connor Gdovin, Justin Begley, Jackson Finney, and Zach Watterson.
 
The Colonels look to build off their top-five team finish at the RedHawk Intercollegiate last time out as Larson finished ninth individually at three-under.
 
In that performance, EKU had a stellar second round shooting seven-under as a team.
