Ex Lancs police officer ‘worked as golf caddy’ on sick leave

Former Officer 3680 White is accused of breaching the Standards of Professional Behaviour set out in Schedule 2 of the Police (Conduct) Regulations 2020.

It is alleged the former officer worked as a delivery driver while on sick leave and without having declared it as a business interest.

It is also alleged when Former Officer 3680 White’s business interest had been suspended, he was given a clear lawful order to cease his golf caddying role with immediate effect.

However, he allegedly continued to caddy – carrying the clubs of golfers during a round and offering advice on play in return for payment – in breach of the lawful order.

Lancashire Police said: “The matters aforesaid amount to gross misconduct and to a breach of the Standards of Professional Behaviour of Honesty and Integrity, Orders and Instructions, Duties and Responsibilities, and Discreditable Conduct.”

A hearing into the matters chaired by Chief Constable Sacha Hatchett will be heard at Ormskirk Police Station on Thursday, October 31.
