Mr Trevino I'm 75 last April and I have watched you for years and still enjoy you, your banter, your simplification and clarity of golf shots. I've read your story and the thing that resonates with you is your work ethic and your desire to become the winner that you are and you are a role model to all. I use a tip of yours when I see youngsters on the range and giving you credit when said stop looking for results when you're not hitting the ball solid. I do my best to heed just that, thank you. You're a legend whether you realize it or not. Stay strong and God bless you and yours. Also, you mentioned in this video a set of clubs for us seniors? Can you share please. Thanks again.
Am I watching the new Mo Norman. —– Brilliant.
Yes,but you need relative youth, dedication and practise to be a scratch golfer. Lee is a great teachet and has the advice to take the dreaded tension out of it.Freeze in any stage of the golf swing and you're dead.
What about the new set of clubs he was talking about in the beginning for distance ?
Scratch golfer?, let's not get carried away
He looks like Bill Clinton!
Trevino’s personality ranks as one one my top ten wonders in the Golden Age of GOLF. Great stories, a natural story-teller, & wiser than many”old pros”!
Good stuff but work on your camera angles. Couldn’t see bottom of club hitting ball. Also view was all over the place.
Terrible videoing
For a time Lee was the golf club emeritus at the greenbrier he’s a really solid teacher and one of the best to watch in the 90’s
Clickbait title.Nothing can make me a scratch golfer.
Harvard is a LAW school😃but I know what you meant
What are the clubs for seniors that you were going to mention?
This video is Gold! The value of life and golf tips in this video is limitless. Thank you.
It probably would be a good idea when he is hitting balls to actually show the club hitting the ball. Lee's fine to look at but the camera work is terrible.
How about moving the bucket blocking the camera too.
Too much BS
Great info but terrible videography and this is from a videographer.
The morning of the second round of the 1970 U.S. Open, Lee walked into the locker room at Hazeltine more chipper and talkative than normal; he was in a very good mood. Raymond Floyd noticed and asked Lee why he was in such a good mood. Lee replied that the previous night his wife's purse with all her cash and credit cards was stolen from their hotel room while they were relaxing by the pool. Ray was confused and said "how the hell does that make you happy?". And Lee said "well, whoever took it can't possibly spend as much as she does".
Love to hear Lee give instruction, that chipping tip was so good…and it words…you will make more chips, just listen to the master.
I met Mr. Trevino the summer of 1986, as I was performing caddy duties for ChiChi Rodriguez.
Peter Jacobsen arranged the opportunity for me as a young man.
That being said the star of this video is Gaylord.
The upper peninsula of Michigan has some fabulous, unheralded golf tracks up there.
I had the privilege of competing there as I was preparing to take my shot on the Nike Tour (Today's Korn Ferry Tour).
Smh. I have been playing competitive golf since my first Junior Tournament in 1978 at the Bend Golf & CC in Bend, Or..
46 years.
A day doesn't pass that I forget to thank God for this wonderful game and the amount of pleasure that it has gifted to me.
😎✌️⛳️🏌♀️💞
These were the last of the working pros , down to earth people not like the modern guys (or most of them it seems).
Great Video Realistic Tips
I've Admired Lee Trevino All My Life
Love listening to this man…
Hi I’m 77 and I’ve always enjoyed watching you play golf and your awesome attitude. I usually play about 4 to 5 games per week. My handy cap is around a 16, it was lower but has been creeping up the last 2 years. I just enjoy playing golf with my buddies and my wife is also a golfers. If you have any ideas that might help me pick up my game I had been around a 12 handicap I would love to get back to 12 or 10 . Any suggestions. 😀
This man is a golf GENIUS!
Lee is thee Goat.
My perfect fourball Me, Trevino, Seve and Norman.
Handy to know mr trevino unless its a lob shot or bunker shot keep front of top of shaft behind hand dont let it kick behind you
Thought he said his putting was terrible then gives lesson on putting 😂
In his younger days, Lee came to our clubhouse, Montebello, California, (the Quiet Cannon). Lee drove up in a motor home accompanied by, actor, James Garner, baseball player Maury Wills (Dodgers) Johnny Mathis, (singer), and a trickshot artist, (can't remember his name). Lee gave a clinic and copied many of the other player's quirks, which was hilarious. He played about 16 holes because he had to leave early. We were a small group so we followed him standing behind them as they played, and what a show they put on. Thank you Lee for those great memories.
One of the greatest ever to play the game
His tips are great if you are 5-10 and a little over wt but he is still a funny guy
