  1. I’ve heard you say Trump International is your favourite in the past and hoped you’d stick to your guns in this video. Appreciate that you haven’t let politics get in the way of a truly amazing golf course, where others would.

  2. Great pick. I played TPC sawgrass and it’s awesome. Been to Augusta National and that place is just unbelievable.

I agree with your top 5 list 👍

  3. Rick, Many people make recommendations of courses to play – I strongly recommend – [ GATTON MANOR GOLF COURSE – IN SURREY ] – I had a – {Hole in One – on the 2nd Hole } the Green Keeping Staff – who were working on the green ad who had stopped to allow me to play my shot – All applauded profusely – I was very happy for both the Hole in One and the Applauuse

Sometime later on the 4th Hole – I hit my first ball into the water fronting the green – then I hit my 2nd shot that went into the Hole – But no one saw this fantastic event

This is one of the most enjoyable golf courses in South England and I very highly recommend it

  4. Hi Rick. Plenty of reet proper courses here down under in Australia and New Zealand. Its time you made the trip down under to play some!!

  5. why not learn to play golf and then you can play anywhere in any company of golfer and not the shyte content and crap golf you have been posting year after year not too many content creators are behind you in golfing ability

  6. The problem with these types of lists is that there are no criteria for what constitutes a "top" golf course – is it scenery, the history, the difficulty of the holes, whether there are some less good holes etc. Depending on how you weigh the factors just about everyone could come up with a different list.

Best course I have played is Royal Dornoch – utterly stunning and does not rely on length to beat you up

  7. I've visited all 5 of Rick's choices, played 4 of them but of course I've not played Augusta, just spectated there the year Ian Woosnam won. I saw on Rick's videos how they made such a big impression on him and they're all top class choices. Been to Trump's twice, played Kingsbarns quite a few times and the Old many times – all highly recommended.
I've probably played well in excess of 300 courses – 219 so far in Scotland – and these 5 are ones I loved the most …. obviously not the best in world rankings, but they made a big impression on me. Turnberry, Royal Dornoch, Aberdovey, The Island and Royal County Down. Naturally there are other wonderful courses that are just fantastic experiences – Balcomie, Bamburgh Castle, St Enodoc, Pennard and The Berkshire's 36 holes-Red & Blue.
To get topical – the hardest game I ever played was the back nine at Troon into the wind & rain – even harder than Carnoustie.
Next two on my bucket list – Royal Tarlair and Cullen – which I'm told are wonderful experiences!
And the next one on Rick's bucket list should be Ardfin on the Isle of Jura. I could never imagine playing there – it just looks sensationally beautiful and really tough to play. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pkzk7xK-18A&t=375s (of course he could also go to The Machrie on Islay)

  8. There's hundreds of golf courses around the world that should be number 1. You carnt pick the best course . If you did a top 100 courses that should be number 1s, I'd agree. There's 2 many 2 chose . Hundreds of beautiful courses.

  9. All except Trump International. Maybe I would like it more if the name was changed.😂. Also how can you leave out Pebble Beach? There’s always going to be critics when you try to reduce 40,000 courses to 5. Is this limited to courses that you have personally played or seen?

  10. Rick should play all the open qualifying courses and try to break 75 finishing off with the open championship course of that season

  11. HI RICK ,
PAUL HERE , We have the 3rd tier pros going to play a leg of their season here again end of July time ok. Now the course is in perfect condition now greens fairways and under trees its cut low , if you want to play it now is the time I mean I am a 14 handicap and on the par 5s I am on in 2 yes 2 my normal is 3 and a 6 , par 4s well not like me on most in 2 . So should you and finch fryer want to play it. This is the best its ever been, You could arrange it with James Robinson I am sure . But if you play only 9 play the back its harder by one stroke and there is only one par 3 one par 5 the rest par 4s . I think the way you all hit the ball back 9 (31) 18 holes (66) par 72
Paul schulz pronounce schulz as shultz .
