Cut Red Golf Ball Review |2024|

It has been too long. I missed the Cut Red so much. I was devastated when I heard rumors of cracking. It is time for a re-test. Let’s dive in!

  1. Hi, Will you be re-reviewing older videos now you have a better swing and a better launch monitor. Im specifically talking about older videos which the ball is still in production (looking at Srixon soft feel for example)

Ive watched loads of your videos over the last few months and you have been great. Thanks

  2. These are my go to balls. Cheap, but go far, play well, soft putting feel. I’ve never had any cutting or splitting covers. And that’s playing once a week this year avg. I can get at local Walmart or Amazon for $22.99/2 dozen. 👍🏻

  3. Unfortunately, I can’t buy these after trying them out last year. I exploded these off the tee, and not in a good way. 😂 They literally turned to dust after I hit them. While I was able to flex like Mr. Incredible, they were useless balls. They lost my trust.

  4. It going turbo off the putter head gives me pause for concern. If I have a 7 foot come back because this thing flew off the face, I'd probably get tilted the rest of the round 😆

  5. I got my lowest score last month with a Cut Red so I am sold on these golf balls, but I did find they were really jumping off the putter later on in the round when it was warmer out. The price in Canada is about the same as the Precept Laddie, so I'm torn.

  6. Really enjoy using this ball! Never had any quality control issues when using the Cut Red. Definitely a value for what you get with 2 dozen golf balls.

  7. This is timely!!! I just found a Cut Gray on the golf course today. I hit is a few holes and need to play it more but when you miss hit the GRAY, super clicky and unforgiving. IMO

  8. Hrmmm…I think this may bump out my Zips as I need more spin on my irons, I keep hovering around 3500-4k spin on my 7 and rolling out too much for my liking.

  9. Well, done brother another great video. Great information and perfect honesty. Appreciate you, brother.

  10. Picked up a dozen Cut Blue today but haven't hit any yet. Wanting to try some of the less expensive balls out of curiosity. I've been playing Wilson Triads, Vice Pro and a new fav because of you, Legato. I'm buying/trying WAY too many golf balls since I started watching your channel, brands I would never even think of trying. Good thing about it though, I'm buying much better balls!! Thank you much young man. Have you tested the ODIN brand balls (X and X1)? Was wondering how they compare. Thanks again for the great content.

  11. Is there a way to tell the difference between the new cut red and the old cut red? I would be concerned about getting an old batch of cut red balls at Walmart.

  12. This is my go to ball when I’m not playing the best. I have had a couple of them crack when playing in cooler weather though. Never had a problem in warmer weather.

  13. I love cut red especially as I lose more balls than I'd like to admit.I love the cut blue but I need to dial in my shots, I drove one 268 yards last week and proceeded to hit it with a 5 iron straight into the water hazard in front of me, mind you it was a 500 + y par 5

  14. Two Summers ago, when I got back into golf, after 25 years, I found a Cut Red and went on to score my first ever Eagle with it. Cut sent me a couple dozen balls because of the post I made. The past two seasons, I've played 120 rounds and I still swear by Cut. It's my favorite brand. At 61, with an 88-97 MPH swing speed, this ball works perfectly for my game. Average drive, based on 705 shots this Summer is 248. Average score is generally between 80-90. (Although I hit a 69 this past Sunday) I've also donated several to the woods for other golfers to find. Thanks for the review.

  15. Hi GBA – It’s great to have you back and hope Milton was not too damaging for you. I haven’t tried them yet but was intrigued by your earlier video only to find out about the manufacturing problem and what I would say was Cut not handling it well. I’m thinking I’ll still be playing my Zips and move to Boost or Laddies before I try Cut reds. Thanks again for revisiting this ball and hope they have their issues fixed. It does make you wonder about manufacturers starting to use batch numbers and tracking Quality Control for issues.

  16. This will not end well😂😂😂 I have no idea about thevred, but innwarmer weather I love the cut blues. I traded the 92 compression cut blue for the Q Star Tour Divide's 72 conpression. Notvas soft as before, but much better feeling and more forgiving. Got to love that greenside spin.

    Oh, sorry, you were saying???…..

  17. Well… that ball has a lot more spin than I was thinking. Good to know if I get in a pickle, I will try the red. That ball seems like it has some great distance too. Thank you GBA!!!

  18. Great poi t on the rollout. I need that 30 to 40 yards of roll. Now that winter is near😢😢😢

  19. I have moved to the Boost from Wilson (Golf Ball Adict suggestion to get ne off the super cheap Nitro), so Boost is less expensive than this. But I am interested. I think a buck a ball is my top end until I stop losing 6-10 every round.

Which, by the way, is THE WORST THING about being new to this game. So aggravating losing balls, especially after hits that feel good. Cut Red might be an option. But it would be really need to be a ton better than the Boost.

  20. I have never seen or used a Cut ball, maybe not unusual because I live in Thailand. For the price, definitely looks like a worthwhile ball to use.

  21. I got a box of cut blue and with a driver first hole hit a drive 322 and the cover split. So I gave them to my dad that the swing speed around 70mph and he loves them

  22. It's getting colder here in St.Louis and this is my winter ball. It's the best ball I've played in 40-55 degree temps.

Great review and thanks again for getting me to take a look at this fantastic ball!

  23. Great review. Since you're doing Cut Golf, I'd love to see a Cut Blue and a Cut DC review. The price point on those is really good considering what they are claiming.

  24. I think you are slightly over-compressing this ball from the 7I down. Also, what loft is your driver? At 100 mph, you want to consider 9 or even 8 degrees with a maybe a 70g X shaft.
