  1. How come you have tested every straight flying ball and most forgiving clubs that are so so easy to hit and you still can’t break 80

  2. Now this might be a bit out there. But you could build a set for winter and a set for summer (if you can afford it). And those types of clubs would be ideal for winter time. Especially if you did what you did, and bought for winter a second hand set. Knowing that you are not going to worry to much when it comes to cleaning them after evertime you play.

  3. Going all the way back to hickory shafted clubs, designers have used that knife looking feature on the soles of fairway woods and used brass sole plates. There is something to that feature that does help. I see in my mind's eye a rudder on a boat, helping the club head stay straight and not turning. Way back in ancient times when I was a youth, I had a beat up 7W (actually had a wooden head) V shaped brass plate and in high school golf, it was my rescue out of the serious rough. It worked. I think you got an outstanding value there with those two clubs. For the duffers out there (like myself) they should work just fine. James, you cracked me up with your pronunciation of La Jolla (La – Hoy – Ya).

  4. Hi I’ve got a 3 wood version. Love it, still in the bag; not good off the mats at the driving range but sooo easy on the fairway

  5. In the Latino language, the letter J is pronounced as an H and two Ls together are pronounced as a Y. Ergo, La Hoya. A city in California, USA.

  6. I currently game cobra sz hyper steel stiff flex mid kick Aldila 3,4+,5 fairway woods – not the longest but suit my game – the 4+ is quality

  7. I had one of these 😂
My shaft broke while I was teeing off with it and it flew into a huge gorse bush in front of the tee

  8. Great review love the honesty for us average guys out here, have you done a review on the GX7 by performance golf?

  9. I know these bargain basement clubs are going straight into the James boys bag next outing 😂😂 bye bye big boys hello cheat sticks

  10. I am still using my 5 and 7 woods Cobra Gravity Back from the late 90's, so nearly 30 years old and I have tried everything and I still hit these fairway woods the best. I'm now 86 years old and I think these Cobra Woods will soon go down with me in the end!

  11. Remember these clubs well and those golf channel adverts..suckered me into buying them when i was a fledgling golfer..maybe used them for a couple of years..

  12. I have a La Jolla 20° 5 wood. It's been my favorite deep rough escape club for many years. It has a fairly heavy swing weight, but I wouldn't trade it for any fairway wood. Older technology, but still a great design to move through moderate deep stuff! I removed my 4-iron and have been using this just choking down a bit. Great club!

  13. If someone is struggling off the tee with driver i very much doubt they can hit a decent 3 wood off the deck on the tee like you did. I could be wrong but I would imagine 99% of them couldn't.
