What are you hitting?

Hardest hole I’ve ever played. #13 Cheraw State Park, SC, 492 yard par 4, dogleg left. Approach from 213 and downhill about 50 feet. ITKYK

  1. 4iron aiming for the bunker and hope for a draw. What likely then happens is a duff it and ends up in the water or just short of the creek.

I can see that, but this hole is surrounded by water 270 degrees and the bailout right there’s a bunker. I cannot park this damn hole

4h and try to land it as soft as I can.

  4. Warm-Competition-604

Stock 5 just right of the stick between the flag and the bunker.

Down 50ft will play closer to 200 and it looks like you need about 175 to carry the water

If I’m hitting it good, I’d probably play it long and hit a 4 iron but if I’m off with my ball striking, I’d just lay up with a wedge and try and get up n down

  6. Same fucking clapper I hammer off the glass 40 times in practice. The scouts’ll really like that muffin. They’re calling me fuckin Kyle Conner McDavid Pastranak.

Nah that shits like 30y short of the drink no worries. Easy chip up for a par putt which I’ll miss and wind up taking double bog. Fuck off.

  7. eyehatecheese

a huge chunk of sod right before the ball.

  8. wedgieinhumanform

Trees on the right and the guy about to tee off on the other side…

I’m looking at this as a par 5. Second shot to carry water looks possible but not probable. Wedge to inside100 yards. Wedge to green, hope to make the putt for 4, but should be able to make 5 most times.

It would be a 4 iron for me, but I’m laying up.

    Lefty
    213 – 17 (slope) = 196
    196 x 1.06 (6ish mph wind against estimated) = 207ish
Carry 200, one hop and a stop
Low push draw 7 iron started at the left edge of the green, finishing “ideally” somewhere between the second pine tree and the pin. Leaves an uphill putt that probably breaks a little to the left. I hit it fat, I have a fairly simple chip uphill, just short left of the green. Pulling it in the bunker wouldn’t be the worst cause it’s not really downhill. Only said this cause that hole deserves a breakdown. B-E-A-utiful.

Cool looking approach. How many yards would you say is between the water and the green?

  13. mikeonmaui

7-iron. Then maybe another 7-iron. Gap wedge to the green. Some putts.

  14. Winter_Goal_8094

I’d lay up rather than getting into trouble in various ways and then a little chip into the green and hope to save par – rather than trying for birdie and settling for triple bogie lol

4 hybrid towards the right side of the green. Left doesn’t look good.

  16. Cosmiccowinkidink

6 or 5 to the left edge of that right bunker. It looks like you can miss a bit short without rolling all the way back into the water

  17. oneangrywaiter

    High soft 5. But I actually snap-hook a pissmissle.

  18. Cosmiccowinkidink

6 or 5 to the left edge of that right bunker. It looks like you can miss a bit short without rolling all the way back into the water

Right now? A PW just short of the water then a 60wedge to the green. Then 4 putt.

That shit looks pretty nice for being in Cheraw, no offense if you are front there. Would love to get out and play some of the hidden gems of the state.

    In order of likelihood;

    1. Bunker
    2. Trees
    3. Water
    4. Topped it and short of water
    5. The bar
    6. The green

  22. Nocountry1017

5 iron draw lay up then skull it past the hole into the water
