How easy is the 245 to hit?
Where’s the dunlops and hippo’s??😂
Found a really nice 1987 TM tour preferred set of irons 2-W. Hollow 2,3,&4. Muscle back 5-W. Will clean, tune, re-grip and game these. Not really low handicappers irons, but pretty cool tech.
No Srixon ???
Looking forward to getting the Apex iron on the used market. You are correct they are way too expensive!
That Mizuno. A Thing of beauty.
Taylormade p790 s love em 😊
Great presentation James. Excellent ranking. Would really love takomos in my bag🏌🏿♂️⛳️👍🐊🇺🇸😎
How will the finish on Black PXG 0317T hold up?
I got fitted for the p770. I absolutely love them. 1* weaker than my titleist t100s but launch lower and carry a tad further. Very easy to hit. Could feel a bit softer but I’m happy with the performance.

P790 for me absolutely love them distance and forgiveness is out of this world
I tried the original P790s and they were way too long for me. No need for 200yd 7i. Ended up getting the Titleist AP3 3-PW, also hollow body. In the bag ever since 🤙
The original Hollow Body Irons are the Mizuno MP-H5 Irons from 2015….. Mizuno was also the 1st to make a Titanium Driver but somehow other companies are the innovators.
One factor not mentioned that should influence the rating, in my opinion, is the custom-free fitting included with the purchase of PXG irons.
I only play blades because they are pretty and I hate myself. The Mizuno Pro 241 is really good.
No Titleist T200?
The shots where absolutely equal (ok, two were pulled). So 2000 pounds for the Callaway? I rather spend much less for the same result.
I love my Mizuno Pro 245s.
It’s a shame vice decided to price irons so high. Maybe if dropped all the color combos the irons could be a few hundred dollars cheaper. Like the color options but price is ridiculous for a company that has a direct to consumer motto.
Have the Takomo 101T's in the bag for over a year now. They're not going anywhere. Still looking great. Still feeling great too.
Those copper Taylor mades looked incredible and I’m not a fan of Taylor made generally. We are opposites I can’t stand the site of a black iron over the ball and yet you love them. Shows how different we all are.
Mizuno is a great club, BUT they are hard to hit for scrappers.
The cost of Irons is obscene. I am well to do financially and am insulted at these prices. I would never surrender to their greed.
I have mixed bag of cobra forged tec x and forged tec and I really like them.
No Ping? And not my new favorit, Wilson Dynapower Forged!
T150 irons James 👍
Mizuno is No.1 I think you might be biased on this one
The new p770’s are amazing. I don’t expect them to leave my bag for years
Mmm, was this about how good they all look or how forgiving they are. More forgiving clubs out there at the moment.
The apex looks amazing. For one round. Especially if carrying it will age and mark up very very quickly . Same with the opus blue wedge.
A great selection of top hollow bodied irons, but, James, Taylormade were not the first to make hollow bodied irons filled with foam/elastomer injection, there was an out of court settlement, if I remember correctly. PXG filed a lawsuit in federal court against TaylorMade Golf, citing “many” patent infringements resulting from the company’s new P790 iron later in 2017. While neither TaylorMade nor PXG has offered any official statement, one has to think the basis for the suit has to do with the injection filled, hollow-body construction that is the foundation of most PXG products. While PXG uses thermoplastic elastomer and TaylorMade uses a TPU-based SpeedFoam, if the patents are broad enough, the material won’t matter. This case will likely boil down to process and construction, not the material composition of the goo.
Like the mizunos a lot but they look like much better clubs than id be able to use, I just don’t feel like they would have forgiveness if need for my shite game . Hot metals high launch probs are more my level.
Wrote that comment before the apex Jesus that’s the best looking golf
Club iv ever seen
Are p770 and p790s not really aimed at high handicappers?
6 quality sets of irons and my favourites would be the Mizuno’s
TiFusions, they are fantastic. Feel distance, sound, ballflight amazing. But yeah the black is a bit wonky
Maltby TS3s by GolfWorks are amazing! They look fantastic and are super forgiving. The price is impossible to beat.
Ai200 and pxg gen 7
