Finally done!

Finally completed my setup! Gung-ho retractable screens, 14 foot by 9.5. Hitting mat is about 6 feet from the screen, the reason it isn’t further back is because of a beam overhead I was trying to get out of the way. It’s as close to perfect as I can get in my garage – except for that pesky beam that is about 11 inches running through the entire garage so sadly my driver hits it.. A lot of par 3, iron/wedge practice, and some red tee courses are still awesome! Wish I could figure out a way to reposition and get the beam out of the way but doesn’t seem possible.

PS – anyone with retractable have ideas for covering the seam at the bottom? I’m using pipe coverings which work fine, but after several impacts that seam is visible again. I tried gutter guards but they constantly move around which is also annoying. Also could use some lighting tips – in the dark my projector looks amazing – but anything else it’s pretty light.

  1. Mind me asking how much it cost to build? Not including launch monitor, projector or subscriptions. More like the impact screen, mats, making it retractable, etc…

Really nice. I’m trying to decide if this would fit in my third garage which tend to be narrower. What is the width of the screen? Assuming it is close to 9.5.

What did you use for the main green in the enclosure? And which hitting mat did you go with? I’m about to order a Gung-ho for my garage setup as well, do you recommend it now that you have it installed?
