One time, back in the early 2000’s, Pete Rose came to a minor league game in Macon, GA for a Macon Peaches game. It was, at the time, an independent league team. But it’s also the former name of the Red’s minor league team that was located there in the 60’s. Rose and others played there back in the day…
Anyway, he’s there on a PR trip basically, and it’s billed as an autograph opportunity for families/kids. The end of the game rolls around, I’m maybe the 20th kid out of 50+ waiting in line. Rose signs exactly 4 autographs in less than 2 minutes, peaces out, doesn’t say a word to the remaining “fans.”
This guy only ever cared about himself, lied about his gambling for decades, and he’s also a pedo. What are we praising again?
Pete Rose was a degenerate that doesn’t deserve reinstatement, but I had never heard anything about being a pedophile. Not defending the accusation at all, I have just never heard anything about it. What is the story with that accusation?
