The DP World Tour heads into its third Rolex Series event of the season as the Wentworth Club hosts the BMW PGA Championship. Ryan Fox returns this week to defend his title. He won his first Rolex Series event 12 months ago after finishing ahead of home favourites Tyrrell Hatton and Aaron Rai. The victory helped give Fox a second consecutive top five finish on the Race to Dubai Rankings and earn him dual membership with the PGA TOUR. The New Zealander claimed three top tens this season in the U.S while not missing a cut in nine DP World Tour events. Rory McIlroy will also be in the field and looks to go one better than his second-place finish at the Amgen Irish Open last week. He’s managed two solo wins this year with victories at the Hero Dubai Desert Classic on the DP World Tour in January and the Wells Fargo Championship on the PGA TOUR in May. He also hasn’t finished outside the top ten in his last four appearances at the BMW PGA Championship. Tommy Fleetwood will also fancy his chances this week. He’s claimed seven top ten finishes this season including a 2T finish at the Olympics in Paris. The Englishman has never won at Wentworth, but this could be his year. Others to look out for are Matt Fitzpatrick, Robert MacIntyre, Shane Lowry and Justin Rose.

Rory hit OB 2nd shot on hole #18 Round 1. His chip for par hit the pin, made bogey.
Even Billy felt bad for Rory. Those approach shots were awesome under pressure. Classy people and players. For all those blaming Harry, unless Rory is going to get a caddie to read putts (and/or hit them) for him it won’t make a difference – watch his highlights all week and he could/should have been -25 or better if more putts had dropped.
It's hard to be too upset when you lose to a friend who makes a long eagle put to beat your birdie. Anyone who gives Rory crap for not winning is not being honest with themselves. Even if he's not someone you like he's played some great golf this year and is still better than all but a few in the world.
