    Safe to assume it was the AM in the PRO\AM who was responsible. They must feel horrible. I wonder if it was someone in his group.

    For anyone that can’t access the article, he was hit in the eye by tee shot by an amateur at a Pro-AM.

    Holy shit that’s unlucky.

    I feel like pros often underestimate how bad average golfers are and don’t stand far away enough.

    My mate plays off scratch and is always with low handicap guys and stands well within shank range of me on the tee box. I’m gonna ask him to move from now on.

    Hope he is somehow able to recover. I have had a lot of head injuries and play a course with lots of errant tee shots coming from other fairways. On the advice of some post I saw on this sub I got a hard hat insert that slips into my hat. Wouldn’t help getting hit in the face but still it might be something for anyone out there to consider.
