Opening the club then gripping instead of gripping then opening might be the best subtle tip I’ve never even thought about.

“Tag a friend who needs these shots in their bag.” Who, EVERYONE???

  3. From that second position I’m seriously weighing my options between putter and 8 iron lol.

Most important thing said: “it’s a high percentage shot”…

Hit the shots you know you can hit.

Does he have any idea how far I’m scalding this ball if I try this?

  6. If this guy really puts his mind to it, I honestly believe he could play professionally one day.

This is exactly what I do in this situation, but with very different results.

People need to know where on the ball they need to be looking at during the strike. These tips never show that crucial detail. Of course you can make the ball spin this way or that way when you are hitting it exactly on the right spot, the average amateur needs to learn that fundamental before even beginning the rest of what Scottie is talking about. IMO

“clubface slightly open” that shit is laying flat on the turf 😂

Tiger did literally the same video, posted here recently.

Honestly I’m no longer a Scottie fan. Theegala or Aberg will be #1 next year. Theegala is my hopeful, but Aberg has the skills to be the next easy number 1.

What does he mean by feel hookey? Like as in try to hit a hook?

Phil Mickelson’s tutorial on chipping is the only reason I don’t double/triple chip (for the most part,) this is interesting too but different boats different floats

  14. KAIZEN6Sig

can someone translate what he means by feels hooky or rolls like that?

  15. I just aim for the green and hope I don’t miss

I mean, I already knew ALL OF THAT…Easy!

  17. FatFaceFaster

World #1 has one of the most unique and unmimickable swings in the game.

Trying to duplicate anything he does is a lesson in futility.

Though his objective advice of not cutting across a flop shot to get more spin is definitely something everyone can learn from.

This reminds me of when Bam Margera would give skateboarding tips on CKYK2K.

    Edit: typo

So reposting TaylorMade YouTube vids for karma?

  20. Spartan0330

Greatest ball striker of our generation trying to give a lesson in chipping is like Lewis Hamilton trying to give a lesson in racing. I know what I should do – but I’ll never be that consistent.

  21. Eh, I won’t pretend I understand what he’s trying to tell me…
