2024 BRITISH YOUTH & GT140 GRASSTRACK CHAMPIONSHIPS

An incredibly tense GT140 British Championships, with lots of drama and handlebar to handlebar action. Terrific racing through the heats and Semi-Finals, and could anyone stop the reigning champion Ian Clark from making it 2 titles on the trot. Clark has tasted defeat this season at the hands of Wayne Broadhurst, so he would be a massive danger to Clark’s hopes. Max Broadhurst has youth on his side and has improved massively since taking up the GT140 class. Others to consider who would be in the mix are Mark Chessell, Steve Newsham, Luke Wicks, and Adam Hawker, all very closely matched this season.
Thomas Vining in the Intermediates has been flying this season, and looked very quick in practice, but with Ollie Binns, Jesse James, Dylan Amies, and Max Bloomfield all in the entry, Vining would have to be on his A game to take the title. In the Youth Juniors there looks to be a rising star in Finley Theobald, as he has been unbeaten in 2024, and in a small field, he may not have much competition, although Archie Whitelam and Brayden Blyth are improving all the time, so anything can happen. In the Youth Auto Cadets, Dakota Wright and Dalton Wright both looked quick in practice, and Ian Clark’s grandson Albie South is improving with every meeting, and the other star in the class is Alfie Shipp, who has had some great results this season, so the title race looks wide open, and Alfie is also in the Cadet class as well.
With a small field of LH Siders running a support class, this to looked competitive on paper, as Danny Hill/Callum Ray, Tommy Penfold/William Naden, Will Penfold/Freddie Wood, Josh Penfold/Dan Woodbridge, and Adrian North/Ryan Knowles, but what would the outcome be?
