  1. Craig, you are spot on: Many of the women play as good (or better) than some men on tour. For me, I aspire to be as good as the worst LPGA player!

  2. I have actually had conversation with other golfers where I argue that the female pro golfers have better swings than their male counter parts and that it is the female golfers that us amateurs should be studying.

  3. I'm sorry, I don't understand. "Get these positions right" or "feel's not real"…which is it because you can't have both.

  4. Hi Craig,I love watching your content , looking forward to the release of the Swing Slapp App, I'm working with your deep to shallow program, the last couple of weeks i hit my best shot ever on a par 3, 138 metre hole, 2 feet from the flag with the handle pointing at the target sadly it wasn't the winning shot of the day for closet to the pin , but i know that i,m the winner with this program cheers

  5. Amazing video yet again. Thanks Craig. Just a speculation but it seems the female anatomy helps with the initial shoulder protraction move to get out and around as part of the first movement. Blokes don't have that restriction and swing straight across the chest which leads to all sorts of other compensations.

  6. Thx for the explanation and an excuse of my Golf performance 😂. Stop kidding now. Really great stuff explained in short video. Our last training with you was just great and very very effective. Thx and looking forward to the next session.

  7. As an amateur I try to copy the LPGA players technique which looks effortless. Also my club distances are generally close to some of the LPGA averages. One thing I would say is that it’s wrong to compare men and women in sport because the men clearly have a physical advantage. You only have to look at the data. Underlying this, on a more controversial level, is the transgender issue specifically testosterone levels. I haven’t seen or heard of transgender women moving to compete with men but a lot is reported on transgender men competing in female sports winning and breaking records.

  8. 2000 female players in Seoul are better than scratch, sounds impressive but is simply consistent with the averages across the world that c.0.5-1.0% of golfers are scratch or better. What is impressive is just how many people play golfer in S Korea

I find the LPGA far more relatable to me as an average male golfer, the distances are close to what I hit, they plot their way around the course rather than trying to over power the course.

  9. I actually had a conversation with a PGA tour player who agreed, but noted that the men had better short games…

  10. The biggest improvement to my golf came from seeing Ai Miyazato play for the first time. What I copied was not the things raised here but timing although I feel that if your timing is good it is easier to keep the swing under control.

    Now, at 78 years old, 1.65 m (5'6 ) I hit my driver 220-250 yards and 7 wood 180 – 200 yards.

    Domo arigato Ai.

  11. After watching the brilliant Ladies British Open at St Andrews – in very windy and wet conditions – the ladies kept their rhythm and poise so much better than the men who tend to resort to power and contortion in the strong winds.

  12. The explanation is simple; men have strength and women have flexibility. You need flexibility to get the club into place and strength to keep it there throughout the swing.

  13. The ladies don’t have the macho factor where they feel they have to hit the ball a mile

  14. As a man I’ve been pretty convinced for years the ladies are waaay better putters than the men overall.
Of course Lydia and inbee are All time.
And on shots around the green that do not depend on speed and power too much (so the basic stuff) the women tend to be sharper overall.
And short iron game as well…because they are soooo technically sound overall especially ladies from certain countries that don’t mess around with technique. Which sounds so easy but Rory knows what he needs to do technically and still struggles with shorter iron shots.

At the end of the day these stats don’t lie. At about 100 yards it doesn’t matter how close the flag is to the edge or even how hard the greens are, it’s undeniable minjee would beat a lot of pga tour guys in closest to the pin contests.

  15. Generally speaking, men don't move as graceful as women in athletic motion or even just walking. It's been mentioned already that women can be far more flexible which is vital in golf, more so than just raw strength. I am curious though, do women get injured playing golf as much as men?

  16. IMO, one big difference between M and F is the distribution of strength. Speaking generally of course, women are more fluid and stronger in the hips and legs than in their upper body. In golf, men have to unlearn the reliance on the upper body for energy. Plus, women have a natural ability to disconnect their upper body movement from their lower body movement while men have to learn that. That immediately gives even a slightly athletic woman an advantage in the mechanics of golf.

  17. Craig, do you think women golfers bend at the knees more than men. To me it looks like they do, maybe because of lower center of gravity?

  18. The courses are shorter because the ladies have a shorter drive. Once they hit the landing zone on the fairway it’s the same game from there. What makes those stats even more impressive is that she has to use longer clubs to hit the same distances a male would, making perfect ball striking so critical to the ladies’ game. Thank you for the analysis. Great video!

  19. Yep yep! That's why when I was trying to learn how to swing correctly, I was always naturally drawn to the women's swing. It just looked sooo much better and consistent than the men.

Question on the 40 degree shoulder plane you spoke about. Wouldn't that angle change as you go from shorter to longer clubs?

  20. I believe a lot of it has to do withing swinging more 'within" themselves and not trying to hit it so hard.

  21. If you’re gonna make a ridiculous video, good for you, tell me one female that swings as good as Rory McIlroy and I’m not even a fan of Roy really need me one. Oh Nelly Korda OK she’s got a good solid swing grade. Is she better than Rory? no she’s not and as for hitting the ball closer shocker news alert the pros are playing 7500 yards the girls are playing 6000 yards yeah who’s going to hit a closer from 175 the guys are the girls are lucky to get the damn Green get real.
