  1. TC had some uncharacteristically bad takes this ep, also every one else around the world wants to know if golf is the only sport that fans wear golf clothes to WATCH golf.. do you guys rock up wearing speedos to watch a swimming event? Or don a racing suit and helmet to watch an F1 race? Tucked in polos everywhere… do the fans get changed in the parking lot too?

  2. Shout-out to NLU hosts & guests for a great season of coverage – thank you! Competitive Solheim & Presidents Cups would be nice ways to wrap Q3. ✌️🌺⛳

  3. Nelly Korda won almost as many tournaments as Scottie this year, but he made 17 times more money than she did. His caddy made twice as much as Nelly.

  4. Listened to the Pod last evening as always but was disappointed that TC didn't mention the Tee for Hope scholars that were highlighted on the coverage. It's all about charitable giving with the PGA Tour. Two local young people were selected to hit opening tee shots at East Lake and received scholarships! 5k each! Hypocrisy reins.

  5. Thanknyou, DJ. Great year for Rosey. He made weekend play of The Open very interesting. And big shout out to best selling author, Dan Brown. Shout out to Scottie and 2X Major winner, X.

  6. Play-offs suggested format. 4 tournaments aggregate score – same idea of reduced numbers round to round eg with 30 at final tournament. But is aggregate scoring that decides the play- off winner. This solves all the issues with match play to issues, and the randomness of the current system.

  7. You guyd.should invite Morgan Shofill (Monticello), Lottie Woad and Ludwig (both in Tallahassee) to Sawgrass for day of golf.

  8. Team rose was working for sky doing the tour championship. Not the Curtis cup. So he was out supporting and then going in to do comms for pga tour. Makes it even more impressive

  9. Amazing video, you work for 40yrs to have $1M in your retirement, meanwhile some people are putting just $10K into trading from just few months ago and now they are multimillionaires

  10. You asked for two sentences. Here are two paragraphs that sum up the Tour's issue. Pardon the rudimentary copy/paste.

"Scarcity, in the area of social psychology, works much like scarcity in the area of economics. Scarcity is basically how people handle satisfying themselves regarding unlimited wants and needs with resources that are limited.[1] Humans place a higher value on an object that is scarce, and a lower value on those that are in abundance. For example diamonds are more valuable than rocks because diamonds are not as abundant.[2] These perceptions of scarcity can lead to irregular consumer behavior, such as systemic errors or cognitive bias.[3][4]

There are two social psychology principles that work with scarcity that increase its powerful force. One is social proof. This is a contributing factor to the effectiveness of scarcity because if a product is sold out, or inventory is extremely low, humans interpret that to mean the product must be good since everyone else appears to be buying it. The second contributing principle to scarcity is commitment. If someone has already committed themselves to something, and then finds out they cannot have it, it makes the person want the item more."

  11. What’s missing from all of this is a tie back to the fans. To grow interest and enthusiasm for the season and the tour’s “Super Bowl’, why not award some fans with some prize money? Scottie wins and then draws 20 names of fans who are awarded a million bucks each.

  12. Here’s an idea I would personally really enjoy for a Tour Championship format:

-Top 4 guys in the fed ex cup going into the finals get a bye and are seeded 1-4 for quarter finals on Saturday. This rewards the top players for their success without getting into awkward stroke advantages. It also adds drama for the first two events since those 4 spots have such significance. They also get to rest up.. if that makes a difference.

-Thursday – Friday – remaining top 26 guys play 36 holes of stroke play. Top 4 guys get in to the 5-8 seeds for Saturday. This creates all sort of drama focusing on the final four spots with matchup and playoff scenarios for those spots aplenty.

-Saturday is the match play day. Guys are all seeded 1-8. 18 holes to decide who gets into the final championship on Sunday. Cool underdog stories are available here if a later bloomer gets into the playoffs and then grabs a bottom seed. Match is amazing.

-Sunday is the final four for the championship. To avoid any further luck with match play, I think a final foursome stroke play would be awesome. Final four guys in a group adds extra drama. I think 18 holes makes sense. Everyone starts on an even playing field. Sure to create more drama and last final stretch heroics versus the current format.

I think that checks a lot of boxes in terms of entertainment while being easier to follow and rewarding the best players without being gimmicky. Thoughts?
