Fantastic podcast. I own a course in Cheshire and Graham speaks so well for the game.
Glad he mentioned Liam's top. I was thinking "WTF is he wearing. Great vid.
Here’s some unsolicited feedback from a nobody – this Liam bloke is absolutely dreadful at this. He’s so unsure of his question he has to preface it with a disclaimer every single time. Unwatchable! I suffered through it because the interviewee is quite interesting.
You have found some fantastic peo0le tointerv8ew and getting great answers from them
He’s no Greg Norman, that’s for sure. 😮
Can you ask him what would happen if someone killed his prize Swan?
Very similar journeys me and this chap. Unfortunately I didn’t own the facility I developed. But believe what he says, it’s tough, very rewarding and not easy to be popular. We had 50 holes too, wow when I think back, what a ride. Had to chuckle about the fungicides.
Top interview top channel need more content
Really nice to hear the history! I am in Southern Ca. at a city owned course in need of everything except greens! We can't seem to get the city to make any
real improvements.
What is the best time of the year to vacation there?
660… Damn. Here in Poland CHEAPEST full membership is around 1200. And a decent club wants about 2000. And our average salary is less than half that is in the UK. Sucks to be me.
Listening to Graham and his passion for what he is doing and has done at Carus Green, makes me really want to go down there and play and give him my money. Loved listening to him. One of the best things I've ever watched on youtube.
absolute top bloke with an amazin story, great to listen to thanks
Briĺliant interview as ever! It was really interesting to listen to, well thought out questions, and expertly answered by Graeme. Can't wait to find out who you've got next.
I think this is one of the most honest and genuine interviews I've ever had the pleasure to watch on YouTube!
Graham comes across as an amazing individual with a focus on all of the correct things in life and not just the £££ a business can generate.
I'm fortunate to be a member of a club with an owner which I believe is in a similar mould and who puts so much back into the club which they only took over 3 months before COVID struck and which was in need of serious help. Now I'm a proud member of a club that has 2 full 18 hole courses, driving range and decent clubhouse run by mainly brilliant staff who genuinely want to be part of it.
Interesting to hear the discussion on membership fees and makes me feel grateful that I'm a member of a club with 2 full courses (all be it not great condition this time of year as clay based!) but with a 7 day membership of around £760, amazing value even with the little golf I can actually play still keeping it affordable.
Keep up the amazing journey and would love to play at your club some day.
@Liam if you are ever in th3 Bedfordshire area, would love to show your around our club/courses as really enjoy your content and sure Ebay Pete would love it too! 😀
Cheers
Graeme said there was something there that could make it something special. I don't think he realized that the something special was him. Liam where is Mr. Barlow miss seeing him!
You have a great man In Waren at Carus hands up ..
fantastic interview. great guy and really nice golf course. Sad to hear that golf courses are financially hurting in the UK.
I am from Kendal but live in South East Asia. Since Covid golf is booming here. Even Trump is building a new course here.
In my small area we have 6 fantastic courses, which for many years where private courses. As membership dropped the courses opened to the public. Now every day the courses are very busy.
My son and I were at Carus Green yesterday for an unforgettable training day with Adam Lynn and Simon Edwards. I hadn’t seen this interview and we passed Graham a few times without realising who he was. What a lovely and impressive bloke. Congratulations to him on creating such a great facility and recruiting such committed, genuine and brilliant people.
Great investment of time. So this explains why so many videos are filmed here.
I’m late to the party, his wife is tall and good player.
Governments…🤬😡🤬
Great interview – High risk – High rewards Well Done.
Great video and insight to running a golf club. A great course in great condition a credit to all concerned.
Fantastic podcast lads brillinsight into how a golf course owner lives the so-called dream 👏👍
On our way here 13th June, looking forward to it. Used the golfmates deal as well. Hope the bar stays open late!
Love this interview. Graham is a quality act there is no doubt. Fantastic insight into how golf is run. Good work guys.
