Hey all! Recently converted runner/climber – checking out golf. Picked up the golf club for the first time about a month ago. Been on the range 3 times and on the course (par 3) twice. Thinking about getting a lesson, but wanted any official feedback from the group.
Def seeing a lot of inconsistency in my swing. I’ve been exclusively working on the P wedge, as this is what ive been using on the Par 3 course. I would say 1 out of 5 hits goes expected. The rest hang right. Happy to provide additional details

Tempo is good, but keep your left arm straight!!

Go for the lesson my guy. Your swing is decent for being brand new.

something that has really helped me are instagram reels and you tube videos. i could definitely benefit from an actual lesson in terms of actual feedback, but if you do some of the exercises in the tip videos, you will see a vast improvement. my drives went from 150 yard slices to 225+ yard drives (with a few slices peppered in) seemingly over night. i’m having a way harder time with my irons though, but i’ve even seen improvement with those.

‘Titties to the target.’ Finish with your nipples pointing at your target, I just started this and it really helps with rotation and aiming.
I couldn’t believe how effective of a mental cue it is, and how much better my aim became!
