BYU Football has again chosen not to name a starting QB, but it is starting to look like the race to win the job might be over as Redshirt Freshman Jake Retzlaff and Gerry Bohannon are going blow for blow with just two days left in campe. I didn't understand why we hung our hopes on Slovis last year. I was relieved that we had our guy with Retzlaf for this season. I am beyond frustrated that they brought Bohannon in, unless it was just to push Retzlaf. We should never be starting a QB who is on his THIRD transfer in college. That is a recipe for mediocrity.

I Don’t agree with many takes here on this show but this take is on the money. It’ll be an abject disaster if they name Bohanon as QB1. Say goodbye to your QB for the next 2 years.
Oh, ho,ho, Jake the the Snake, the interception machine, makes more TD passes to the other team, lead BYU to a fantastic 0-4 finish, could never put the opposing team to bed, just what the doctor ordered, that is if it’s the team doctor for University of Utah.
Watched them both in scrimmage today, Bohanon far & away better. Faster reads, better runner, throws over the middle. Jake takes too long, bad throws/reads when scrambling. Cougs need to win now, go with Gerry.
All good points for choosing Jake Retzlaff as the starting QB…I predict this will occur before the first game…Jake’s performance has been peaking in scrimmages and practice for the past 1-2 weeks…it’s a done deal.
You lose credibility when you don't even know that its Gerry, not Jerry.
If you don't understand why Retzlaff is #1 then you really are clueless. He's clearly just not that good at this stage of his career, if he was he'd be named starter already.
