  1. Millwall fan here. Basically what’s happened is our attack has never been better but our defence has never been worse, sort of the opposite of the last few years. Our new goalkeeper is getting a lot of stick but it’s not his fault, it’s cooper and hutch running out of steam. Tanganga has been suspended but will come back next match and has to play. Harris has been a bit strange with his lineups and substitutions leaving it late and not starting players who are better (langstaff and emakhu), but we need to trust him. A couple more good signings and scoring like this and we might even get playoffs. Watch out for romain esse and Aidomo emakhu!

  2. I honestly think Prestons manager waited for the season to begin so that he could leave and make Preston suffer that little bit more at the start of the season, he seems like that kinda guy

  3. QPR fan here. That karamoko Dembele debut might have been the best debut i’ve ever seen in a QPR shirt in my memory. Saito looked very exciting when he came on too

  4. Poor first half yesterday Colback getting sent off again 🤦 Andersen done his groin taking a corner. Positives Dembele and Saito both look very good

  5. Kaminski for Luton got a yellow card for time wasting before he saw the red mist.. Very uncharacteristic of him to get sent off. Despite this Luton have won the game, just couldn't take their chances like they were doing in the Prem last season.

  6. For my team Watford, what a start. I can feel a nose bleed coming on and, in all honesty, don't expect a playoff push this year. The manager has really got a team vibe going, but the squad is mid table, so let's wait and see. I do think a few of the pundits were a bit harsh on Cleverly's results at the end of last season when you look at the teams he came up against. It was a very tough run, and he ground out the points needed .

As for Norwich, the place I live. The Norwich fans do seem a lot more positive than after the first game. The manager looks like he will play his way no matter what. The only problem with that is a lot of the defenders he has don't fit the style. Duffy, Hanley are not ball playing defenders, and if Norwich do have a couple of injuries and he has to play them, will he be pragmatic. The evidence from Oxford is no. The championship is a squad game with so many games so quickly, I think the rebuild will take too long for this season, but without defensive injuries, they might do OK.

  7. Bizarrely Ben, there was a third goal from a back pass this week. The Hull keeper failed to control a back pass in Wednesday's Carabao Cup clash between Hull and my team, Wednesday. It allowed Charlie McNeill to just gather the ball and roll it into an empty net unchallenged.

Anyhow, now on to the Sunderland game. Not going to make a prediction here. Don't want to jinx it.

  8. As a Burnley fan I don’t know how we went in at half time 2 up, Cardiff were the much better side in the first half having a goal chalked off for offside and hitting the post, BUT we have shown we are clinical in front of goal and just hope it continues

  9. If ever the 'it's a game of two halves' mantra deserved to be rolled out, it was yesterday at Bramall Lane. The Rs, abject in the 1st half, the polar opposite in the 2nd. The limbs were mighty. Sadly, we'll never know what might have been, had Colback been able to keep his mouth shut. U Rs

  10. I was on the Turf yesterday, first 30mins we didn't look great and Cardiff arguably were the better team.

However, we were class in the 2nd half and you could see the difference in class. Decent away following for that terrible drive.

  11. Kaminski didn't get a straight red. He was booked for time wasting even though Mengi had the ball for the goal kick and was then booked for the foul. Edwards tried to say we were trying to get their players to come forward so we could bypass the press, but it was stupid. Then Kaminski went mental 🤦‍♂️. A good point with 10 men for an hour, but we should have won it.

  12. Clarets scoring goals from all positions taking shots from 20 odd yards far better than last season, there will be personal changes but that will be small factor, long season yet so do expect some off days after all this is real football division and less whinny supporters..

  13. Swans fan here, disarray at Preston. Yes 100%, they have some issues to work out, but I don’t think it’s as bad as it seems on the surface. They probably should have scored twice against us on the weekend, when they get a permanent manager I think they will be fine and this start will be forgotten. As for the Swans, the new signings are making a huge impact. I’m feeling quietly optimistic with this squad as it is right now. Additions to it will only strengthen.

  14. i can see leeds with 6 draws after 6 games 2bh, should have beaten portsmouth, the wba draw possibly a fair result as both sides were toothless upfront, while both pretty solid enough defensively i guess, we HAVE to now make some quality signings, its clear that that 1st 11 isn't quite there and if we keep the same squad and nothing more changes, we'll finish 7th

  15. Us losing at Derby just says to me that the games vs the bottom sides are going to cost us again this season

When teams line up like that against us we rarely have an answer, need that ruthless streak and I know it is only two games in, but just get the feeling after yesterday not enough has changed in order for us to really be challenging where we want to be. We've got some brilliant players, really am pleased with our window so far .. but was that same old familiar feeling again and didn't feel like there'd been a Summer break!

Never know, but the result yesterday made me all doom and gloom after a great week winning vs Swansea and then Leeds in the cup

Oh well .. we can only wait and see

  16. Preston fan and I'm weirdly optimistic. Wasn't Lowe out but fine with him leaving having seen the options available. Get Brian Barry-Murphy in before Thursday and hopefully we can get our season underway.

  17. Argyle were unrecognisable from the car crash seven days earlier. In a game where the performance was possibly more important than the result, there were many reasons for optimism. Sharper finishing would have seen us out of sight before Hull's goal. So one important take-away is the need for attacking reinforcements. Another draw at Loftus Road next week would be a further step forward.

  18. As a Millwall fan I thought the defence was shocking they were holding their pressure on the attacking football but they should keep pushing up the pitch look at their defence it’s absolutely ridiculous because of Shaun Hutchinson and Jake cooper they haven’t defended the ball they were standing doing nothing where is the defence they should be doing to keep their defence up the pitch just to defence sideways and it’s not hard to defence your own box push up and go after them find out where the defence is heading to run up to them and control your defence
