  1. Pete Alonso's defensive fielding prowess @ 1st base this year is one of the unsung stories of this METS season…Guy is Gold Glove-like at that corner this year and has improved dramatically

  2. Finally we get to see Joe B and Sal together on the FAN. I heard this live earlier today, and they were a lot of fun to listen. We need more of Joe and Sal together.

  3. U sign Pete for 6 years 160 million u dontget rid of a feared and respected hitter who could dh for u his last 2 years. Then u sign Soto 10 years 50 tp 60million a year. Now u have a line up of Lindor,Vientos, Soto,Alonzo,JD,Nimmo, Alvarez, McNeil, Mauricio and Bader.

  4. Why did they not get any of the legends
that were there on their show?
What was the point of these 2 guys
being there in the first place?

  5. Keith is going to retire soon(2025 is his last year) and eventually so will Gary & Ron. Murphy, Gelbs & Blevins will be the new booth. I think Ziele will stay in the studio.

  6. I'm glad the Mets didn't spend on high profile and over paid pitchers during the trade talks. More for next year! I just wanted this team to give it their best shot based on what the FO said in spring.

About Pete, I have gone back and forth on him all season. Because I know he is a great player and he came up through the Mets farm system. But would the dynamic of the team improve if we moved on from him, and Jeff too? That's a question I don't know the answer to. I think it would depend on how the Mets moved forward after them in real time.

But sometimes it feels like they don't want to be in NY anymore and even subconsciously sabotages the team because they may not be happy with management and even with the constant pressure to perform here. That annoyance I see in them a lot lately has me feeling that it may be time for us as fans to let them go and give the young guys coming up the opportunity to succeed in NY. Would that help to make a postseason push next year?

  7. The girl is real …leave her be.. another very bad day in franchise history was trading Lenny Dykstra and Roger McDowell for Juan.Samuel..BS. Good of Joe to mention Ray Knight being let go although everyone knew HoJo needed more playing time you don't treat a man that just was voted MVP of the World Series like that
