  1. I may be bias but man not sure there's a better crew that covers a team like the volquest gang. AP is the goat in this business and its not even close. Love what everyone brings to the table individually. Go Vols!

  2. I hate that the younger guys dont play as much. We all wanta see them, but alot of time when we finally get to see them, we see why their not playing, but you're supposed to get better every game and every mistake. That's why i hate not playing more young guys. When their forced to play at the biggest moment, they need to have their mistakes out.
Worse case, they come in at the biggest moment because of an injury, and thats when they make their mistake and it cost the game.

  3. Because of our pace and communications, can you give Cooper any first team time off? I would think with a new QB, TE and left tackle (not worried anywhere else), we need him leading the cohesion? If they do give him time off, they may feel pretty good about things?
I assume it's different when he's not out there?
But how can you get the offensive rythem the same with your 2nd team center, if he's not out there?
Seems like a balancing act like everything else

  4. I'm not sure I understand the consternation about starting older guys. If we believe Neyland's Maxims then the team that makes the fewest mistakes generally wins. If the older guys make less mistakes then you play them. That's mysterious and strange.

  5. You guys looking over the main piece John slaughter and boo will be the best safety Tennessee got you will see this year mark my word

  6. Redzone should be improved. All the big bodies out wide, looks like te room is upgraded as well, nico showed he's not afraid to use his legs down their. Also seen the power I against Iowa which with bigger rbs(seldon, keith, lewis) I expect the script to flip down in the red zone this year.

  7. You guys are trying to control the narrative…. tell erbdy now, let fans know early, W. Brooks is going to be starting safety… I'm not fine with this shid… 4yrs in and you still gotta start W. Brooks??? I just want Tennessee, to stop going into 16,17,18yr old homes and telling them you can come compete and make a significant impact as a freshman… because your lying, lying like hell…. DBs DO NOT play early at Tennessee…. lying…. the shid is going to catch up to you… it probably already is catching up to you… if I know it, I know other schools in the SEC are already using it against you…. will Brooks…. over Jakobe,Slaughter… man please…. better put his azz back on special teams… he's no better than Flowers & Tank… and we all know they weren't SEC caliber Safeties… Tennessee should be so far from having to throw W. brooks in for meaningful snaps for a program like Tennessee….

  8. Don’t you think that these coaches are feeling out these players to see how they react to starting and the way they are playing the position and produce? I don’t think the starting lineup has been made as of now! GBO 🍊🏈

  9. This coaching staff seems to value a players ability to help others on the field. Talent plus experience. Even though this is a new secondary they all seem to have experience. Carter is the exception.

  10. We haven’t seen will brooks or Christian Harrison play hardly at all why are we assuming they suck? They’re all gonna play this year.

  11. Im fine with Will Brooks as long as he is keeping the secondary in position to make plays but if the D isnt making plays and brooks isnt looking good then make a change and mix it up until we find what works best! GBO! 🍊🏈🧡🏆

  12. It's pretty simple… You play your best players, period! This is why Willie Martinez sucks! He has always favored experience over ability. They should've gotten rid of him last year.

  13. We really don't anything about Nico hopefully everything works out great but think about this he was miltons backup last year we really don't know anything about him except one game don't get me wrong I'm all vol but we shouldn't get our hopes up on Year one

  14. The secondary will be a work in progress. This has always been a knock on Martinez by playing older supposed more experience over youth. I get it , but it literally took me 10 plays to see Andre Turrentine was better than Wesley Walker or whoever else started at FS. I just hope we dont get to end of the year and find out this is the case again in spots.

  15. Austin will finally get some rest Saturday evening and Sunday. After being bombarded for months talking about David Sanders JR.

  16. I think it turns into who is most consistently in the right position. Carter may just need a little more time.
