I'm fine with it. People only focus in the negative but he sighned all Chicago's stars long term, won 3 cups and did everything he needed to become a better man. Give the man a chance
The deserved a second chance thing is a perfectly fine general point. But it’s general!! It doesn’t mean Bowman should get it, and even if he does, it doesn’t mean your own organization is obliged to be the one to step up. Do the oilers need this right now when they’re looking for a cup? No. Was he the best candidate based on merit? No. So why?
I'm 100% against it only because I don't think he was/is the best hire the Oilers could get. This move is bowel and fowl.
Jeff Jackson knows what he's doing. He didn't hire him for fun. Everyone needs to stop reading twitter and relax. Judge him on his moves and continued work with Beach.
Stan Bowman aside from this issue is a terrible GM, he had a Chiarelli level run with the blackhawks,
opinions are like assholes
Not knowing about the details of the incident is whete you lose me
I get you guys are tied to the Oilers and basically have a gun to your head
But that's WEAK sauce
If you're going to pull excuses out of your ass make them good ones
"Why would he want to down grade his position"
Boys… HOLY…
So you're telling me players don't get dropped down the line when they fuck up on the ice but lives can be ruined and he is allowed to be prideful?
COME ON LIAM
Why is a new GM necessary? Why could we have just… not? We could have simply played hockey….
We have not heard from Kyle Beach directly at ANY point, so to sit and play telephone with a victim is WILD until you hear it from him personally
Stan Bowman didn't do anything. That's literally all he's guilty of. He's not the one out there diddling hockey players. How many cases like this go unreported from the victim for 20 years? Like seriously, what's the issue? Reports say that someone higher than him in the org was taking care of it. That's where his responsibility ends as far as I'm concerned.
Your actions expose who you really are. Your actions expose your true character. This is a fully grown man with loads of life experience, not a teenager making a stupid mistake. Bowman acted like a coward because he is a coward. That's why he acted the way he did. Bowman will always be a coward, this is the worst choice they could have made.
Hey Tayler. Your talent is going to bring you a bright career!
EDMONTON : CITY OF SECOND CHANCE. This reputation will last for ever.
I don't think Bowman can't be forgiven, he made a mistake and is making up for it. With that said i don't think he deserves to jump right into a GM spot just yet, he should work his way up to prove himself.
He's living off daddy's name .
Coming from a 3rd generation HAWKS …aside from the Kyle incident….the Blackhawks were elite. ..got swept in the first round, next season had a poor start, then management FREAKS OUT, fires the best coach and makes horrible trades until the team crumbles…. hopefully he learned that chemistry is VERY important no matter the analytics. Maybe he had pressure from higher ups and was the chop block fall guy? But all the fans understood was Stan traded the best players for the worst returns
WTF is the dude on the left saying. Bowman could have started as a ianitor and work his way up.
