Has keiron had a whack on the nose?
i'd love to meet the person who thinks they don't need new clubs
Pardon me, Peter. You've misspelled practice. Thank you.
Yay Reddish Vale! LETS GO!
Thank you for the note.
Me and my tommy armourr irons from 1998 feel targeted here
My wedges are 4+ years old and I can still spin them. One bounce and stop. I just stopped pulling that money out of my pocket. If more golfers were to take lessons this will help there game more. Now if you have clubs 10 years old then yes get some new ones.
Damn, none of these points match…and still I just got fitted for new P790 🙂
Btw.: Can someone explain me in detail why a better player needs "less forgiving" clubs? What is he not able to do with newest tech irons, what does a scratch golfer miss when he would use p790ies?
kieran needs some shorter shoe laces!
I honestly believe that pete deserves like 4 million followers. top notch banter and advice from every video. it's just world-class.
I would love new clubs but I am a single parent and after I’ve paid the bills, I am left with £150 to pay for shopping and fuel so unfortunately it’s impossible to enjoy the new things anymore. If only I was as rich as other people. Life sucks for some!
I have Ram clubs that were given to me.I think I meet all the criteria for new clubs according to every one of your comments. This video is great information. Thanks so much!
Ive been gaming the ping ie irons since i started in 2019. I'm currently a 13 handicap. I wanna get new irons but im afraid to change lol.
Clubs are not made to last because they know you will replace them. SIMPLE! It's marketing! Are you sponsored by Taylor Made?
Pete, you’re by far my favorite solo golf channel. Love all of your content, thanks for the video!
manufacturers dream that pete… amateurs who buy new clubs every 6 months!
lol
amateurs would be better off spending £20 on a lesson than £1000 on a new set when thing go wrong …..
i play off +3 and have had the same set of irons for over 7 years, only buying a new wedge when i wear the grooves out
Still using TaylorMade r11 irons from 2012, maybe time to change…
Well — that's all I needed to hear … Pete said it was OK! I can definitely explain that one and my wife can't argue at all!!!! Let's Goooooo : ) Be Safe
All my current clubs are 12+ years old. I need a new set… but expensive. Also I still rocking decent scores of average 85.
Judging by the rubbish I see selling on Ebay and marketplace.. I honestly don't think the average golfer really cares about wedges wearing out.. they're quite happy to buy clubs that look like they've hit rocks for 200 rounds 😂
Pete says it’s ok!!
Practise!!??😂😂😂
So my Titleist DCI 990’s that I’ve had for 20+ years may need replacing? 😂😂
I think therefore I need
When I was playing a lot, I would clean the groves on all my clubs after about 2 rounds. If it was a muddy round, I would clean then after one round.
Pretty sure Kieran mistook the T150s for ZX7s when he fell in love with them.
I saw a story years ago about Gary Player when he started the champions tour he was still using his old Northwestern irons and there was a dime size dent in the middle of the face. I guess he was pretty good 😮
I use the brass side of the club brush after any shot that gets dirt or sand stuck in the grooves of my irons.
Is that too often?
Had Mizuno irons all my days and got fitted for my current Mizuno mx-1000's way back in 2009. Gone from a handicap of 15 to 9 in the last year so went to a Mizuno fitting event a couple of weeks ago. Realised how well my irons are still suited to me and don't see me changing them anytime soon
What is this progression you speak of, and where do I find it? 😢
My clubs are so old that when people start talking about what wedges they’re using by their degrees, I’m utterly lost. It’s either a pitching wedge or a sand wedge or a lob wedge dammit! 😂
I replaced my 25 year old cavity-back Acer iron set with an Eleven hybrid set this year. The PW went from 48 degrees to 43, thus the new PW and the rest of my new hybrids goes further. I kept the old Acer 48 degree PW to gap my wedges better. Now, after replacing my old irons, I need to replace the person using them, -> ME <-, LOL.
Pete, what do I do if I want new clubs but I just got laid off from my job after 5 years! XD
My PXG irons are 2 years old. My handicap started going up recently. I went back to my R11 irons (15 years old probably) just shot my lowest round in 5 years 😅 and I clean my irons after Every shot. 😂
It’s like a sign from god. I just booked a taylormade fitting
Pete! If this comment gets 10 likes could you send me a set of nice irons you have in your storage room 4-pw in stiff flex?? Lol
Another thing to consider is the cost of the new clubs. I could benefit from new clubs on the golf course, but my band account would benefit from using the same old used clubs I have.
I still use my Tommy Armour 855's I bought in 1995. Do you think I need new clubs? Im currently an 8.2 handicap.
Always need new clubs cus I watch golf YouTube everyday. 😂
To quote the great toby Keith "I'm not as good as I once was but I'm as good once as I ever was."
