Golf Fans Saddened By ‘Rough’ Photo Of Charlie Woods After Round
Charlie Woods had a brutal start to the U.S. Junior Amateur Championship on Monday.
With his father Tiger in attendance at Oakland Hills Country Club in Michigan, Charlie shot a 12-over 82, posting five double bogeys and four bogeys against only two birdies.
The 15-year-old struggled with distance control, according to Golf Digest, and could be seen visibly frustrated after the conclusion of his round.
“As a dad this has got to break Tiger’s heart,” tweeted Eric Bickel of The Sports Junkies. “Charlie Woods walking off 18th green after shooting 82 in the 1st rd of US Junior Amateur. A tournament his dad won 3 times. Reportedly he was slamming his clubs & frustrated all round. Too much pressure on this kid.”
