  1. Aston Villa are close to signing Everton midfielder Amadou Onana for £50 million.

We chatted to Matt Jones, from the Everton-fan led podcast The Blue Room, to find out more about what Onana can bring to AVFC! #avfc #utv #astonvilla

  2. Everton play the wrong style of football for someone like Onana. Emery will bring out the best in him- as a box to box MF

  3. Onana was being held back by dyche. Hes not a flash harry. I think he just believes hes more than just a bully throwing his weight around like dyche wants

  4. I for one am not convinced. He looks slow and all limbs at the Euros.
He doesn’t move into space to make it easier to pass to him.
No guile to thread a through pass or see opportunity.
    Always passing backwards and sideways

  5. He seems like a good bloke. As for Onana, not too concerned about shortcomings in a Dyche side, the philosophies are obviously quite different. Emery has a track record of fixing broken toys, but this feels way more than that. Still very young, too. If he listens and takes advice on board, he should be a hell of a player for us.

  6. Villa would have done their due diligence on the player, his weaknesses and strengths and his personality. He’ll get a clear steer at Villa or be on his way!

  7. Typical NW person; always putting down what they don’t have or will lose and bugging up anything they have. Terrible & extremely predictable. Sorrry but this is the truth 🙁🥺

  8. Your guest is forgetting he scored a belter last game of the 2022/23 season that kept them in the premier league…

  9. I used to work in Liverpool for several years and got really fond of the good, old scousers. When Villa beat Liverpool 7-2, I became a hero with my Everton friends. As regards Onana, his physicality, confidence, and intelligence sounds perfect for where we are going. He is going to find out very shortly what world class and highly technical coaching is like. Thanks for the interview Frankie.
