nhl.com she’s Kirsten koll entertainment correspondent for Bardon Beauties as well as in Arena host and amongst other things Kristen first off how was your fourth of July it feels like Fourth of July is that point where Summer’s kind of like halfway over and maybe it’s cuz I’m swamped busy in July and August and then it’s all of a sudden hockey season again but how was the fourth for me it felt a little too long almost of a vacation but also every day is a vacation in my life sometimes it was incredible I had a very I enjoyed myself very much I took a whole week off I spent a handful of days out on Lake motanka it was my very first time ever going out on lake minona so I feel like it’s seasoned Minnesota now um I went to good oldfashioned Twins game I truly lived my best life this past week um I’m still recovering I do think I got a little sick coming out of the weekend like on the very back end so we’re we’re really using this Monday that we’re recording as a recovery period but I I great great time but I also went to Michaels yesterday just to go look at their Halloween decorations so it does right like you can’t help but feel like all right that’s it Summer’s done like Fourth of July just came up so quickly it really did I’m not letting myself get into the mindset that like Summer’s done because we still have all the county fairs we got the State Fair coming up so yeah I’m about I’m getting ready for fair season right now is really what I’m doing but also my mind is slowly like wandering towards it’s almost spooky season especially when I go out of my way to go to stores to go look at stuff but I didn’t buy anything yeah can’t do that yet no gota wait gota wait it out yeah I would I would agree like it’s county fairs I’m I’m a fairgoer I’m a parade goer I think I’m a little white trash on the inside like there are things that I do I’m like am I white trash and I’m like I there going to be people listening that are like well I do those things too I say it proudly though like I I don’t know there’s just things that I’m just like I don’t know that everybody does this or like we went tailgate of the Saints game and I don’t know like I think they’re all fun and free but I feel like some people would never ever dare people atar never ever dare tailgate or go to C Brar I’m saying Brar because the beauty League’s back how about that for a transition I knew that’s where you were going you like what I was doing there the beauty League kicks off on Wednesday um I think it’s a little different there is a women’s game now happening uh each and every night so that’s exciting it’s once a week haven’t seen rosters well I’m sure see those later this week that’s back and it’s Minnesota Wild development Camp which means a bunch of young kids in town in St Paul um that’s why I feel like I think summer over like I have to go back to like work and writing and stuff like I just you know I’m not right I’m not there yet mentally I don’t even know I forgot how to cover and ask things so I’m going to have to go to the rink uh every day again development Camp opens up today while you’re listening to this Tuesday is the actual day uh Tuesday Wednesday Thursday uh free open to the public at Tria pretty exciting stuff Kristen who are you most excited to see on the ice I don’t know if you’re going to pop over with me or not not but if you were who are you most excited to see I’ll pop over I got some time yeah o I mean I feel like we’re kind of on the same page with who we’re excited to see um our number one draft pick this year Z buam I’m hesitant to say his name because I’ve heard you pronounce it 10 different ways doing it right anymore I think it’s boam I’ve I’ve committed to boam as of late I’m pretty sure because it’s spelled b U IU M I’m going I’ll confirm with him this week that’ll be the first thing I ask cuz that’s what I always ask a lot of these new guys is like how do we say your name and then I get it recorded hear them say it how they want to say it but I’m going with boam until I’m corrected otherwise yeah so that’s what I’m going with as well I’m obviously I think call it recency bias whatever you want to say there’s a lot of excitement surrounding him right now and just being able to see what we’ve got I’m excited to see um I’m excited to see Charlie stramel I’m excited to hopefully have seen progress from this time last year with him and then I mean another name that you had thrown around Liam ogren everyone’s excited to see him what he can do hopefully building off of what we saw from him last year so those are probably my top picks I would agree I mean Charlie shaml I’m just excited to see how he’s doing mentally frankly right I mean we saw he’s a big bodyi dude and just kind of checking in on what were the struggles and what does he hope to accomplish at Michigan State I mean as not only a HomeTown kid but a first round pick there’s some high expectations that come with that uh ziv I think will be great I think he’s still two years off I know a lot of people had questioned like when do you think you’d see him I mean the the difference is for zeve he won the championship with Denver right usually guys haven’t won that their freshman year and then get drafted in the first round and go back like back toback is is very possible but I do I think he’ll for sure need at least maybe two years in college before he starts looking at his his pro career and not everybody’s a mcklin celebr who did sign his ELC to join Will Smith uh and the San Jose Sharks next season exciting for them we’ll talk about that a little bit later in the second segment um and yeah Liam ogren I’m more excited to see him at training camp because he’s obviously somebody that’s going to buy for a roster spot um but he’s a vet he’s going to be the guy to look to I’m also kind of curious to see like Jackson Nevers right the name go for anous he’s an invite which I think is exciting some of those younger um lesser known guys too just to see if they could be your little development Camp Darlings the difference I think in this year’s development camp like danilia yurov was here last year um you know where he talked about maybe joining the wild he obviously resigned overseas uh so he will not be joining Minnesota this year and will not be in present at development camp but I don’t think any of the guys at this year’s Camp aside from ogren are players that you’re going to be watching to make an impact like oh we’re going to be seeing him at training camp we’re going to be seeing him doing this like I think they’re all genuine young talent and they’re just kind of showcasing what they have in most of them it’s their first year some of them year two so I think bear that in mind if you come out to Tria like you’re not going to see these guys in a wild Jersey probably for a little bit at least not the St Paul Wild jersey um again with the exception of Liam ogren so it’ll be interesting if if anything come out to Tria for the AC this week that’s what I’m actually excited usually I dread it right because I’m like oh I should be out at the beach I should be out paddle boarding I should be out golfing this week I’m like no it’s a little steamy for me it’s going to be toasty and I’m very nervously looking at my calendar because I’m going to be going to derks Bentley Saturday night outdoor in Prior Lake for their festival and it’s GNA be the hottest day of the entire week so I’m like steadfast for me my friend keep me in your thoughts and prayers I love that I will be up in Deer River at like a county fair thing with my aunt we’re doing invite I love a good county fair but thanks for the invite hey you can go we go like every weekend the kids like think that it’s an all the time thing like there’s always a parade and there’s always a fair to go to because that’s what we do in the summer but we got the whole thing plann we’re going to float we’re Pon tuning and fishing on Friday and then we’re going to float on Saturday and then we’re going to go to the fair where they have live music starting at 4: and then they’ll have fireworks and Deer River is just a little tiny town so I’m super excited we love those small towns we do we do did you see Martina mcbry performed for free at Taste of Minnesota no yes yes when was that Saturday my boys the Gear Daddies who I Love performed for free the wallf flowers who I’m sure you don’t know but my 90s babies are going to know um they performed for free and Martina McBride headlined dang 630 I know didn’t know that I know I was like I should maybe check it out but I had was a little worn out it was a lot going on in the past couple days the kids have been home I think that’s where my exhaustion level hit too wasn’t even the outside it wasn’t the beers it wasn’t the hot dogs the kids were home home all three of them for 5 days straight and it’s like you know what now I got one that’s up in International Falls for the week the other one currently at his grandma’s the other ones back to daycare because I’m a little just you know space space space would be nice I mean I get all the space so I don’t know what I’m talking about I don’t have kids sure I have a b you have a b and that’s that’s okay uh we had mentioned Kirsten mlin celebrini signing how do you think he’s going to do in the NHL level you know we saw what Connor Bard was able to accomplish and obviously Macklin has kind of the same celebration around him um I’m not surprised because as you’ve brought up before and as we’ve discussed before he has a really good team uh in San Jose to to grow with especially Will Smith his former teammate there at be um I I’m curious to see though because he’s young I mean he’s a young young kid good body size as far as his shoulders um I think he can handle his own but it’s it’s gonna be a big step up from what he is used to for sure speaking from right now I’m not surprised because I think Will Smith having signed about a month ago was his deciding factor on if he was going to go back to beu for one more year or sign with San Jose but also just putting myself in the mindset of being a first overall pick I feel like that would also be very hard to just go back to college coming down from that but I also feel he probably could have really benefited from one more year in college um it’s tough I’m very excited to see him play this season I think he’ll do fine but you talked about it he’s just so young and it’s not that we haven’t seen that before we saw it last year with uh the draft picks who came through but I don’t know I’m I’m anxious to see but I mean I do feel maybe one more year could have done them wonders and I always look at it as you want to win a National Championship right you want to go back and win the national championship I don’t know if he necessarily had the team to do it if he were to return for another year maybe that’s what he saw too right like Abu is not going to be quite the same as they were this year so what’s the point and I think San Jose is kind of safe right like they’re in that weird we’re trying to rebuild we’re trying to recreate so I don’t know necessarily that he’ll feel even maybe the weight of the pressure that Conor badar does in Chicago because Chicago’s just itching to get back to that high Elite status that they were and they’ve gone through a lot of stuff uh since then and I think there was more pressure on Conor Bard for that I don’t know if mlin necessarily has that same pressure because I think San Jose fans are kind of aware and it’s obviously a non-traditional Market too so you have for sure that as well no I agree a thousand per with everything you just said also too I mean and maybe I’m wrong maybe I just have been a little more out of the loop yes people are super excited about Macklin they think he’s he’s got obviously great talent that’s why he was predicted to be the first overall pick honestly when I was working Juniors like two years ago it was even expected okay after the 2023 NHL draft mlin celebrini he’s probably gon to be taking first overall like that had been expected said for years but he just again I could be wrong he doesn’t have that same expectation to him that Bard did like you just heard from everybody oh Bard’s the next Conor mcdave he’s a once- in a-lifetime generational or not once in a-lifetime a generational Talent excuse me whereas like Macklin people are like yeah he’s really good but he’s not Connor Bard right yeah I I’d completely agree and I think that comes and goes with different draft classes right like we talked about like this year’s draft class H it was it was fine um you know your top 2023 NHL draft class right or the 2004 draft class like you know there are just certain classes that are are strong and it wasn’t that’s no disrespect to mlin celebrini who I think is a very very very very good hockey player um he’s just very very young so interested to see how he does uh final bit of NHL news before we take a break and talk some wild stuff uh the Dallas Stars announcing today Kirsten that they have created their own free streaming channel for the Dallas TV Market leaving behind all the balys all the RSN feeds that every team currently has it’s going to be called Victory plus it’s direct to Consumer platform that’ll Steve all uh live games in market during the 2425 season tremendous move for hockey fans the Stars fans are clamoring they’re excited do you see this going well and how do you think it could affect the NHL Market or the sports Market in general because that’s been the hot button topic you know look aside from bals and the bankruptcy that they’re dealing with which has caused a bunch of turmoil for Baseball fans and hockey fans alike but also just in general the way that cable TV and streaming has come I mean cons it’s not fair to fans right fans are stuck in this [ __ ] hole of like we have to have all these subscriptions to all these things just to watch our one team and it seems like this is exactly created for the fans I think it’s perfect Dallas Stars fans I’m jealous of you congratulations well I mean you even look at the twins I if I had a dime for every time I heard somebody just vent being like I can’t even watch the twins if I wanted to can’t get them anywhere can’t get them on Comcast whatever blah blah blah it’s a disaster so I think the Stars doing that it’s huge and I might be saying this a little wrong but I think I think it was the Florida Panthers recently something similar with scripts so scripts is going to be broadcasting all of the games also for free so I feel like that’s just the trajectory that it’s going to be going for every single team I just and I think it’s been the way it’s been moving for the last few years too as streaming has evolved more and I I wouldn’t be surprised to see that in Minnesota soon or for Minnesota just to form a local Regional Sports Network kind of going back to M it’s not much different than balet sports but maybe like a Fox Sports North retracting just a little bit with like twins sound and wild so well in Vegas and the Arizona Coyotes last year did the same thing with scripts too for their season with the in streaming platform but that was you know subscription fee to users which I think people would do like I do I feel bad for my husband we finally got cable there was a whole we had a whole lot of turmoil going on about internet cable battle we finally got cable back just in time for the twins to be ripped right out of his hands and it’s like he hasn’t watched a Twins game in years because it’s yeah you don’t I don’t want to pay for all these different streaming services to watch this you know what I mean like it’s just it’s very frustrating as a sports fan to not have the ability to watch your team even me as an NHL writer it’s I have to have all these different things in order to get the NHL games that I want and half the time they’re blacked out when they are on the streams and it’s just like I just want to watch your team man so I’m excited to see the big question obviously comes with how are you paying for this now according to Shan Shapiro who covers the Dallas Stars go follow him on Twitter and at sha shapshot hockey he had mentioned that um you know Regional Sports network network contracts typically account for 35 million per season for NHL team some are higher some are lower depending on the revenue all of that and the stars have now signed a seven-year deal with a parent Media company which is the media company behind Dude Perfect direct to Consumer channel to help grow that brand so obviously they have money coming in from that in a sense right but you do wonder how many teams would be too SC scared to jump shift and offer because this is free this is absolutely free for their fans it’s a feels like a lot of money lost but maybe not well I don’t know you look at it kind of two ways it’s like you do that and I granted I’m saying this not knowing all the technicalities you do that or you sign a deal with a service where it’s blacked out and people subscribe to that service can’t even watch the freaking games right and now and there’s no TV element to this deal so you do wonder I mean they’re obviously going to have to employ still your play-by-play person and the people because they want to have it but they stream for free your prospect showcases right I mean teams are already dabbling in this type of thing they’re just not committing to doing it for 82 games a season which I understand because you have to figure out sponsorships and advertisement and and all of that and it would still bring a challenge I have to imagine how is that going to affect you know Tom Reids right like you’re how are you streaming that game in your bars and restaurants around town too is that something that’s going to be a problem or not we’ll we’ll have to find out so um yeah it’ll be interesting uh sorry distracted I got a question from my boss I thought he was going to say I can’t tea off today at 11:30 that wasn’t the case it was perfectly normal so all good there guys problems perfect perect I might not be able to golf at my scheduled tea time today listen I haven’t golfed in three weeks Kristen I have not golfed in three weeks which is a very long time Minnesota Wild fan base and that is that of Marco Rossi now heading into last season again I will always admit I said it was a make or break year for him I had talked about the year prior him being a potential trade item last year he did absolutely phenomenal he even got some votes for Calder for having such an outstanding rookie season love it love his storyline love everything that he has done and achieved thus far his name still continues to be floated around as trade bait now I think that’s okay because he is a valuable player he has proven himself to be a valuable player yes I understand Minnesota Wild fans now want him because he had such a good year and how silly would that be but Carson I want to break it down for you as such there are now six centerman on the Minnesota Wild team that includes Marco Rossy juwel erck Ryan Hartman Yakov trenin who was recently picked up in uh excuse me in free agency you’ve got morat who’s nof who is a center and you’ve got Freddy GD as well now obviously Freddy and Ryan Hartman can move around all these most of these players are pretty versatile as far as that Marco is a pretty straight up centerman as is y Eric anck um and Yakov I believe is very strong up the middle too that’s six centers if you count them six so somebody has to move you cannot move Ryan Hartman you cannot move Freddy gdo you are not going to move juel Erikson e um Yakov trenin I’m sure has some no moves within the contract that he signed and then you’ve got the young morat and you’ve got the young Marco what do you do about this problem what do we and that I’m just saying is why it’s reasonable that Marco rossy’s name continues to get tossed around he doesn’t have the protection he’s a value go Kirsten what’s your take I think well Marco Ross is more valuable than half of the names you just listed for centerman um but also too if I had to take the edge people that you could move he definitely has the edge over morat in my opinion and that’s not even my opinion that’s just fact yeah um we just also haven’t seen seen that much from Marat yet so it’ll be interesting to see I understand I understand but I don’t like it if they did move Marco Rossi I think it’s dumb and I’ve said this and my point being because he did everything you asked him to last season yes he has value but also just it being the Minnesota way you’re going to get rid of a player or trade him and then he’s going to absolutely flourish or explode somewhere else for another team so I don’t know in a perfect world would not have given Freddy gdo a no move Clause honestly wouldn’t shouldn’t even in hindsight it’s 2020 I get that shouldn’t have have even given him a new contract I mean there’s speculation that Freddy GD was injured most of last year and that’s why he underperformed and obviously his name continues to be called out by Bill Garren along with Ryan Hartman’s and a number of other players where he says they need to have better Seasons homeboy Ryan Hartman needs to get those penalties under control right I I think him on the ice not in the box or getting suspended yeah no I would agree I would 100% And I think he knew that I think you know in our conversation postseason at locker room cleanout day he he definitely acknowledged he thought he he had gotten better which I would agree I’ll always side with heartsy I really will I’ll always side with him he’s got a temper we all have a little bit of a flare for The Dramatics and that’s some dogs can’t be caged exactly but I think in signing Yakov trendon it just made it more messy and more muddled because yes it it either says hey Freddy you’re on high alert man you are going to be sitting in the Press Box and watching which I think is probably what you do or it says Hey Marco we’re talking to teams and moving you because again it’s a numbers game and you can only have some of these guys play on the wing not everyone and it just it seems yes unfair to Marco Rossy but it’s a business and it’s kind of the bed that they’ve made because they can’t move Freddy to a number of teams and so you’re kind of stuck with him unless unless Dean Evon gets a job somewhere and says hey you know what I would love to take Freddy G with me there’s something so harmonious about that right like I just do I think yov trenin into to me coming in is a bottom six player for sure probably a fourth line center right and he’s got that size because you’ve got Marcus up on the third but yeah looking at it I would rather see Marat in there I would rather see Marco Rossy in there instead of Freddy goodro but I just for whatever reason Billy loves these these older guys these vets that have shown glimpses of okayness versus the young guys who’ve SE who’ve shown more than a glimpse right I also just don’t love the trenin signing it’s probably because I haven’t seen much of him to me it seems very overpaid I don’t love it I don’t love it I hope my mind changes but I wouldn’t say very right like I I would say a million overpaid right which probably is a lot Mone a lot of money that’s more than I’ll ever seen my whole life I think the thing that kind of crushed me a little bit is cuz right after the signing I had done a little bit of research and watched and I immediately said it’s a lot like Marcus Felino you know it’s that’s a lot like Marcus and I was like you don’t need another Marcus Felino on this team I agree I think size is lacking on the wild but you don’t need a player that’s like Marcus necessarily not just inside like they just I didn’t get it and then I loved when John Hines confirmed it for me when I asked him which player on the wild do you see Yakov be much like and he said Marcus and I was like no like I don’t think you need that now Bill Garen kind of saved it and said we don’t want Marcus to be the guy that’s fighting we want to have him on the ice more similar as you’d mentioned with Ryan Harman not necessarily in The Penalty Box I just I don’t know yeah I don’t love it I don’t hate it I mean after this year it’s a drop in the Hat as far as the salary cap goes I just don’t like how it continues to put these chess pieces in front of these younger guys which I think most fans can agree with I think that’s the frustrating thing like you’re not giving these other guys their opportunity to earn their right now Bill Garen did counter that when we talked about it with him last week and said hey they should be scared of these younger guys coming in and taking their spot you know nobody is guaranteed a spot so yes because Freddy’s there he’s not guaranteed that position or Ryan harman’s not guaranteed that and we’ve seen glimpses of that where there are vets sitting up in the Press Box but it just it’s hard to imagine a world where Freddy gdo is sitting in the Press Box all the time and Marco rossy’s playing just because that’s not how hockey Works hockey doesn’t take it that way hockey don’t care if you are a better rookie they generally say you have to do your time hockey don’t care but Kirsten sure does I know what would you need in your hall back if Marco Rossy were to be traded do you need I need a player for sure I need a young player yeah I need a player back I need two players maybe give me an Adam fanti a one for one trade that’s not a one for one is it probably not prob not injury how’s Adam gonna bounce back from injury probably just fine I’m not worried probably just fine you just want because you know him so it makes it easier there’s that too but also hell of a player yeah no true very true who do you think has more value Adam or Marco why I I I would say one for one throw draft pick in there give me one more I need some one more thing for Marco yeah I think so throw a draft pick in there yeah you think that’s a one for one I I kind of think it’s a one for one I just I did and admittedly so because I do everything but watch the Columbus Blue Jackets because they’re awful to watch sorry that they are Adam you are a Minnesota Wild player like I did not watch anything from Columbus so I don’t know how Adam did I I saw glimpses of him doing well prior to injury but I don’t know how he did where it’s like you saw I saw Marco in and out so to me Marco’s better because that’s who I’ve seen play in the NHL right I I don’t know my opinion it could be a one for one curious I want to know what you guys would accept and I say accept because if it were to happen I want to know what you would you would take for that um you know the other player that I’d love to see buried behind Liam ogren would be Marcus Johanson do you think Marcus Johansson does have a rebound year this year it’s a contract year for him so yes too like that’d be wild that would be absolutely wild we’ve seen how he plays in a contract year so not weird wild God so good put me in one of those I don’t know what my role would Bravo we need to give a Bravo Round of Applause again to the Minnesota Wild creative team um loved the Valley Fair loved that Brock Faber actually said gosh darn it on or G darnet like genuinely said that and I’m leaking from anxiety from anxiety that one is an all a new alltime quote from mid it’s yeah like so funny it’s funny cuz we talked to Jake Middleton after the oh we should talk about that too he signed his contract extension last week that we missed out on a little bit um but we’ll finish the Valley Fair conversation because it’s more fun but we talked to Jake Middleton and I asked him I said what was your favorite ride he goes and this was prior to the bloopers coming out he’s like I don’t do rides like I that’s not a fun thing for me at all he’s like I didn’t Rel I don’t have fun on them either I get anxiety but it’s like the good anxiety that I like doing it you know what I mean watching M talk through his whole roller coaster I was like everything you are saying I feel I don’t find it fun they make me anxious I’m scared I’m gonna die or fall off the entire time no I’m with midy and honestly too well if does anyone like rides why did they put us to the two people who don’t on this I could see John Mar loving rides he strikes me as a man who loves a thrill cuz he’s a Carney in a second life somewhere for sure I’m sorry is he he just has the Carney look like he’s just you know he just seems like an adrenaline junkie honestly I can see Brandon Doohan being an adrenal and junkie like do H’s the kind of guy like BMX scene no I mean yeah but I just don’t see it from him Matt baly I think I could see being like yeah whereas I’m like put me on the Carousel and I’m having a grand old time I feel like baldi’s a water ride kid I think Felino is probably into into roller coasters I don’t feel like he would be either do I look like a person into rides yeah it took me a long time I was a wimp on rides until I will never forget I was like in third grade and we were going to ride the white coaster at Valley Fair and I was is currently underwater yeah I saw that tough go for that one but my friend’s dad looked at me and he’s like it’s 55 seconds long you can do anything in life for 55 seconds and I was like and it just felt so empowering I’m like I can do something for 55 seconds and that was like one of the first times I overcame my fear still terrified of roller coaster like I always get very like you said anxious but I’m like also very excited too because I’m so proud of myself for doing it I think is the thing and any any ride that has like the harness I’m aund times better like I’ve gone we went to Six Flags my senior year for our class trip and there’s this one called the Raging Bull or something and it’s just this tiny little square right in your lap and that’s all that’s holding you in on this 90 Dee drop and I that was one I was like this isn’t Fun and this is scary and dangerous and I’m going to die but then especially the ones they set up at the county fair that go up in like an hour that they just unbox no I got stuck on one at the state fair I used to go to the state fair for the boys and the rides I’ve never gone to the state fair for the foods yeah you know in high school we would just I’d go like every day with my friend Lindsay to like walk around and flirt and then ride all the ride like all night and I got stuck on one upside down one time cuz it had like stormed but I I am good being on the ground okay that’s fair that that surprised me a little bit I feel like you it do I look like a girl that’s along for the rides yeah like you kind of like the drama of the ups and downs you know like that’s ABS no I don’t know why this is a thing where everyone recently that I’ve encountered things I like drama I don’t don’t I think it’s just your age honestly that’s fair yeah um I prefer excitement but I like to be in my own sphere like this where I’m at right now is where I like to be to myself like in my own business out of everyone else’s keeping everyone else out of my business you know who else looks like a Carney I’m thinking about this Mark Andre flurry a little bit but he’s like like the magician right like he’s like doing the weird like House of MIRS type of like ride and he’s in the corner castling no do you know who I feel like I look like and maybe it’s just where my head’s at I look like somebody who would work in a haunted house is that just cuz you want to work in a haunted house honestly kind of how fun no I don’t know if I I love seeing I have a love hate with haunted houses like that gives me an anxiety in a bad way oh I love haunted houses I could see moose being a guy all about a haunted house too I haven’t gone in one in a while like they G take you like I love scary stuff like we’ve talked about that like I me and my best friend that’s our thing like we love watching scary movies and just like scaring the [ __ ] out of each other and like weird things like the really creepy dolls and stuff like I’m more into like that scary I don’t like the Gory scary like I like the genuine like Friday the 13th is or not Friday the 13th Freddy yeah it’s Freddy Friday the 13th I think so Nightmare on Elm Street nightm El Street Nightmare on Elm Street’s like my favorite Johnny Friday the 13th Johnny it’s um Jason Jason Johnny I don’t know I was thinking of The Shining honestly I’ve never seen that movie actually here’s Johnny yeah yeah Jason and it’s the yeah I was thinking of The Shining a th% wrong movie um have you seen Insidious like that’s also a I’ve heard it awful like awful as far as like terrifying that’s like our top tier like cuz we’ve seen all of them from the gecko and like her mom’s very into scary movies and my mom was very into scary movies so it’s kind of like a thing that we all did together and like we’d watch like pet cemetery and all the old ones and obviously the new ones today are so good but yeah I highly recommend Insidious you watch Insidious and I will go to a haunted house with you we could do you know what I’ve never done and I’ve always wanted to do is the state fairs haunted house oo yeah I’m down to go my friend wanted to go last year and we were there and then we just decided for whatever reason to not but I’m down to do that um also give me some Zach Baggins and Ghost Adventures certified Ghost Hunter yeah I actually it was Memorial weekend and I was at my best friend’s house and we were watching Ghost Adventures and I was like I’m gonna DM Zach bans this is the second time I’ve dm’d him no response I don’t even think he read it just like I messaged him was was basically like I’m a really big fan oh boy I wasn’t even drunk like I was very very sober oh well then that’s even weirder no maybe one day maybe one day he’ll be like hi thanks for watching oh boy um you say thanks for watching I got no I there’s no segue back into real there’s not we went to a hotel kind of we tried we did that was fun any I realized last year I started golfing in order to make up for like all of the golf tournaments that I’m genuinely in I’ve have not been invited to one Golf Tournament this year which is very sad for me I know like I like oh my gosh people don’t like me anymore it’s fine if you have a golf tournament let me know we’re in bar down bees they’re in um no what I wanted to talk about was Jake Middleton’s extension since we haven’t we can keep it very brief since it’s kind of old news by this point um four years a little over four per year kicks in and 25 26 so it doesn’t start this year it will start next year so again that price fine um maybe a million overpaid I don’t hate the terms I don’t hate it in general because obviously I love Middleton midy as a character fantastic mustache but it just yeah it seems like maybe a smidge High maybe just a little bit I don’t know it’s probably unbiased cuz his personality is amazing he’s a character we love him here so I’m not mad I’m happy he’s sticking around somebody who’s not sticking around Mason Shaw signing one year with Winnipeg doeses that make Winnipeg is making some very very interesting moves this year um they’ve got three dylans on their team now which is quite funny three Dy yeah just three dylans um after signing Dylan Coughlin from the Hurricanes this past weekend but they’re making just some interesting moves like it’s a whole new team a whole new regime bones obviously retiring so he will not be coaching there either it’s going to be I’m curious to see how it shakes out because coming off a really good season where they held it together but again it it’s a total kind of Topsy Turvy on the organization heading into next year it feels it’ll be it’ll be interesting I don’t have any dogs in the ring though oh I don’t like that analogy that I just used I don’t I could have horse in the race any horses in the race yeah so I could care less about Winnipeg respectfully unlike you that’s fair I you know something about Winnipeg just always a little love little love for my winnipeggers heart there we go all right what’s the weird heart thing that you you kids do know where it’s like the fingers just the one finger why why do you do that with why it looks like I don’t know I don’t do it like that I do this that’s a that’s a kid thing right yeah weird I know what you’re talking about but I they make their fingers all weird it’s bizarre uh that’s going to do it for this week’s episode
