I think he’s going to be great I think he’s I don’t think anybody can doubt or question his uh his passion or his intensity and fire which I think um you know you as a as a player you know I want a captain or someone that I’m going to battle for and battle with but I also feel like you know they’re going to want it as bad as I do and I think we all know Keegan’s intensity and he’s going to want it you know we obviously have had um you know a lot of great captains and vice captains assistant captains and um but you know it’s some point you know the same people aren’t going to be out every single year forever and I think it’s it’s now been the last couple years of you know who’s who’s it going to be and and who’s going to kind of be taking those spots and uh it definitely is younger and it’s a totally different vibe and feel um to what we’ve seen a lot of Team events in the past but I I know firsthand I’ve watched you know the Europeans do it quite a bit you know see Luke and and how often he’s playing with us and against us and and you know had a little bit of that in Zach as well so I think it’s it’s trending that way and um to where the captains are going to know the players better and better I I mean I was surprised um because it’s I feel like such a different direction than we’ve we’ve gone and passed um but I’m I’m definitely not mad about it um you know especially if you look at the the lack of success we’ve had the last 30 years um I think with the addition of a you know manager with with John Wood being in that role right now um you know takes a lot of the the day-to-day and potential time that a captain needs to put into uh the leadup to the rider cup um so after kind of looking at everything and knowing about it I think it’s it could be a great change shoot he could play his way on and be a playing Captain I think it also opens up that opportunity more so uh with guys being a lot more current um not that there’s been anything wrong with with the past but we we haven’t had a whole lot of success um you know I didn’t I didn’t know anything about it I know there’s other guys in in involved in there um but yeah I just can’t expect to do the same thing and uh hope for better outcome so could be a really good thing it’ll be interesting he’s playing really good golf and I know more than anything you know he expressed to the media that he really wanted to qualify and uh even though he’s he’s a captain now and knows that he’s got a ton on his plate I’m sure he’s trying really hard to qualify still and be a playing Captain I think it’s awesome I think Keegan um just look at the passion he plays with week in and week out let alone the passion we’ve seen from him and wrer cups and in big moments so um I think he’s a guy that everybody can get behind and um shoy could be playing on that team for sure in general he he cares so much that he’s going to take whatever necessary steps you know are needed from a captain to make sure that you know everybody’s heard and and everybody kind of feels like they’re playing a normal tournament and they’re best as best prepared as they can be
