Golf Swing Tips – Powerful Movement



In order to achieve a powerful golf swing you must learn to turn your shoulders early in your backswing. In fact, it is impossible to turn and rotate your shoulders too early when you start your golf swing.

One common mistake amongst amateur golfers is the tendency to lift the golf club up using just their hands and arms. This will inevitably lead to the power produced in their golf swing being dependent on the strength of their smaller muscles.

how many times have you heard I’ve heard it well 50,000 times probably but you’ve probably heard it as well I hit my 7 iron whatever 150 160 but when I hit the 6 iron it doesn’t seem to go much further and that’ll be because the power’s only being produced with the hands and arms you take it up with the hands and arms you’re going to bring it back down just with the hands and arms so you’re going to lose power or potential power now you get yourself really rotating early in your back swing as early you can’t do it too early it’s impossible to turn the shoulders too soon in your back swing

  1. Yes Ian, it's around 6 iron and 5 iron where distance is a problem basically after the hands and arms shots with wedges and short irons. Thanks for pointing this out or reinforcing what needs to happen.
