hey golfers I’m at a cool place North Texas PJ section headquarters here in Frisco Texas home of the Ronnie Golf Park it’s awesome great collab between the city the section PJ of America uh you can come out here and practice for free when they don’t have a program it’s this is awesome so let me just kind of spin this around a little bit give you guys a perspective got some a putting course over there short game yeah we’ll hit that shot over there playground area this is all artificial turf so it’s really really cool so today I want to talk about a square path for your short game okay so what is this square square path you kind of think of it is that functional swing plane here reason why I’m flipping the club upside down is I I don’t want to get caught up where the club face is pointing okay I want to get this that hey once I get squared up this is the path that I need in order to hit the shot and we’re only working off this functional swing plane right here because then after that it’s going to start coming off that helical trajectory so this idea of focusing in on more of the shaft staying on plane and that club head allows us to create a lot of different shots with the same swing and so in this shot I got just a little pit shot we’ll start out with that one couple things things to do is make sure I want to get Center masses on top of the ball if I get my Center masses back here now a on my bottom of the arc going to be here we’re going to have trouble I need to make sure everything is moving up and through impact to ensure my Center masses are forward so the idea of staying down through a short game shot worst thing you can do so again I can open up the face create a lot of different trajectories we’ll do that later but right now I just going to have a little bit open face but I’m focusing on this path this Square path there and now that ball goes nice and straight and again depending on the chot I can create different alignments of the face angle different trajectories want I hit a little higher I open up the face now what does that do to my alignment well I got to align up a little bit more left for this target but I’m still swinging Square to the path so I’m still swinging Square this way and this is what sometimes people get in trouble with is they’re trying to swing towards the Target now you can see that’s completely offline so open Club face again Center masses need to come up and through the ball more up face ball comes up on a higher trajectory for more information come and visit us at hum. golf we’ll show you how to use the humo go to create your Square path to produce more consistent and precise golf shots for during your round thanks for watching
