we saw a historic round for PGA Tour rookie Hayden Springer to open up the John Deere classic after eagling two from off the green at three somehow escapes with an unlikely birdie he went out at 8 under 27 spring ago 9 under through 16 this is third to the par five 17th more short game magic for Eagle now the 59 watch is on he’s 11 under through 17 on this par 71 Lane out needs to Birdie the last for a 59 and he did that in a big way from 12T Springer the 14th sub 60 round in PJ tour history second one in the span of 12 days as Springer is at top the board round one of the John Deere classic closing round to go on to win at TPC Deer Run with that 62 so what a difference a few days make done La for birdie in the ninth yeah this has got a substantial amount of break to the right across theen just buries it the center perfect again this week 500 par nice finish at the US Open just Dad Todd’s the tournament director at the RSM and Davis played his college golf at Georgia a nice kick there he gets a good chance for birdie Sammy valaki on the box 203 today location in that right little corner over that bunker we just saw beautiful shot from Chandler Phillips and that was a nice one right there too or 4 under par this to get the 5 under par what a season he had last year that’s an aggressive putt nice putt there nice birdie he’s got great jeans in his family Laura B mom and Bobby Cole his dad and great players in their own right if you’re going to miss you got to miss in those bunkers left three players have actually knocked it on the green and that’s up that right side if it’s enough Club Billy Ray that’ll work draws it in there nicely what a beautiful play off shot right there and keeps it on the proper level just off the third green Max grasman already at five under takes advantage of the par three bottoms that one out to get to 600 part seeing some good scoring out there nineiron on the way he’s yelling at it he loves it oh Ying it that be nice to it beautiful shot in there a pass the champion here he knows how to get it done it’s a good golf this week you’re seven under after 12 all right St a second this is another one just left of it these guys are throwing darts is peppering these flag sticks not a fair game if not you land into that bank and come back down that slope see how aggressive he wants to be takes it in there pretty low Billy Ray yeah I watched him this morning hit a lot of those shots in the range and obviously that practice paid off nicely done there control we always talk about controlling and see if he can get it all the way back here giving chance for another birdie yeah I love that little soft follow through right there with the arms really controlled spin well right at ho high there Jim beautiful here the 13th AP Par Four choking it down trying to drive it in there low to that back pin and he does holds it right there another good shot good shots on both sides going right at it well you were in that field for a reason there’s no doubt down that slope like CT said and pretty well done that a shot yeah he made that look rather easy from there we were just since 2000 coming into this week 4124 birdies so far today 592 birdies makes your head spin it’s making my head spin I just think with scoring conditions like that they’re seeing guys shoot low numbers and they’re taking advantage of it just just do that yeah exactly that took a look right on the front of the green aggressive t- shot can he make the comebacker alls well that ends well didn’t hit the green it’s a zero put birdie toughest Fairway to hit 58% he’ll improve that percentage the field from right to left John yeah third toughest hole of the day and trying to shape one in there and does a nice job right over top of the flag stick another good iron shot there from Eric Cole six last week and he’s had six top 25s on the season look for this to be short of the hole nice contact there just left of the hole straight up in the air as well no worries nicely done that was very aggressive for Bunker Wow first time we’re taking a look at this t-shot par 316th 166 yds and by the way it’s the second toughest hole on the golf course today oh balamaki throws a dirt in there beautiful T shot Davis Thompson now third shot decent lie straight up in the air with it obviously that whole location there soft greens helps excellent play away with one there yeah really a flusher of the golf ball Jim see if he wants a shape one in there left to right flushed it in there nicely oh another good we saw a lot of that last week sure going to slide left to right it’s going to stay up and it did nicely done takes advantage of that nice approach shot Eric Cole here at the 16th hole 166 yards today whole location in that back left just saw Moy knocking in there about a foot with uh tournament director Andrew Layman as we’re watching Dum life second at the the 14th he was saying their Benchmark for years had been the 2015 John Deere classic when speed won the second time was going for the single season grand slam they had set all these records for attendance plenty of green to work with just saw Nick Dunlap get a nice pitch shot in there drive in low get up that one slope now it goes downhill two really good pitch shots from the right rough not a problem at all for those two wow big sweeper from right to left how about a little ground spin to the left that would help comes off that slope all right good shot couple good chances for birdie here Bird’s here at 15 down the corner there Jim just has an iron into this green oh it looks good it is good what a golf shot there for Eric Cole he’s got a chance to get to 10 100 par thing now on this back nine that was a nine IR from 166 it’s going to be big nine iron try to get it all the way back there oh and he did yeah just short a hole High there Billy Ray good shot a little above his feet looks like a hybrid might turned that a little much all right now M’s got a good slope there there you go yeah it’s getting better and better and better and better and better and continue to get better here we go just take Qui take turn beautiful also a nine iron for Nick trying to bring this in from the right that a good shot underneath the right y there’s the bump there’s the slope there’s the result is that any oh get out of here this is so fun to watch be fun to play you know how to go low you’ve gone low before got her up this for Birdie on 16 just from the right of the hole a little bit of turn John from right to left keep some speed up here loses speed it will swing for second part the last three holes got up gets it to go and he’s said really solid back nine got to get this outside that right center cut never under never going to miss never just 18th best finish here fourth start here so hit some trees off the tee so he’s way back at 282 oh he’s turning this around the corner and this is striking what a shot about that 282 FLW right to the front of the green and stopped right there what a shot left side of the Fairway can use that slope put right out there at the the window of our Tower trying to shape it back from right to left really aite iron player beautiful te beautiful approach right there he a really good opportunity that was a four Iron Man on a really good line mhm turned it over here see it kicks forward and it does it should feed down to the hole and it does just that oh excellent play and that was a long for arber Daniel bur wow same side spin it back to the 14th big t- shot from the M Luke Clanton Just short of the par for yeah beautiful little pitch up that slope down the backside and great control there for the young Amer Glover and route for birdie this one also looks good why wouldn’t he Glover Birdie’s the last and that’s a 64 yeah disappoint out there about 330 and Luke Clanton found the Fairway at 15 currently 6 under part trying to get another one he is playing Fearless golf he is so dialed in there Jim fun to watch sure is Burger couple under yeah from 166 on the left hand side of the Fairway this is aggressive line it’s actually right at it there man beautiful little shot in there Billy rake to that point I mean he was out of his routine when he got done with the round today I mean he had so much obligations to presswise how about that backside from G up another Birdie on the last
