uh going over bro I uh first of all it’s NBA draft morning I am I’m just going to start this this is going to be slightly annoying because I’m going to hold a story till tomorrow but I am going to tell my story tomorrow maybe wait for crack I don’t know if I’m doing the first segment or wait for crack to tell it about H the the absolute Ridiculousness of trying to make an NBA draft bet here in the state of Nevada it is equal parts comical like comical to the point where I mean it’s a joke to infuriating what what was your old saying is that I can’t wait for Nevada to get legalized Sports correct yes for would you say that Draft betting is probably the most frustrating thing uh to bet on that that Nevada just is kind of couple steps behind other people it’s up there okay yeah it’s a bunch of stuff but that’s up there for sure so I’m I’m going to sa that story for tomorrow but we will have I did manage to get a couple get a few picks in that’s that’ll we’ll save that for later we’ll talk about the uh what Luke Swain Vegas refund called The Core 4 their latest mock drafts everybody’s put in their final ones we will go through the final for uh core for mock drafts later on the show as well jbt will be here momentarily to give his mock draft or how he thinks it’s going to go at the top of the draft what he’s betting and his comments on the big male Bridges to New York trade yesterday as the New York Knicks Villanova Knicks I was just about to say you you you sorry you took my thunder was just going say they are essentially the villain NOA the Nick Villanova Knicks at this point but the new the Nets pardon me I was about to say New York Nets and then New Jersey Nets the Brooklyn Nets parlayed when you consider the KD trade and the male Bridges trade they they parlayed KD basically Kevin Durant into eight number ones if I have that right eight un eight eight unprotected number ones um believe that that was correct it’s just incredible what they did um so that that’s all we we’ll get jbt thoughts on it are the Nicks the Knicks moved incrementally in the market from 13 to1 to 10:1 uh to win it all and obviously every other Market incrementally as well and uh they they’re serious man they are a serious team and so uh we’ll get JB’s thoughts on that will Hill with all his draft bets as well uh CA NAD to talk golf rocket mortgage his thoughts on the NFL Joe Sheen joining us on baseball as is Jason wart we’ll get to it all um I want to start with our vison NFL betting guide which is one day away big day it’s like Christmas here at V it’s Football Christmas yes in the month of June uh our NFL betting guide which everybody worked so hard on Matt yans Adam Burke uh feem beet is prominent in there everybody who worked on it uh does such a great job with the guides and we’re pumped to uh have it out tomorrow and just one of the things that we all participate in and by the way apologies to Adam Burke because I’m always like the last guy to check my email to do this but we we have our grid that we do every year of who we think 21 different Vin folks were in this 21 different vent personalities uh picking their who they think is going to win each division who they think is going to be the three wild cards per conference who they think is going to win each conference who they think is going to win the Super Bowl in addition to Awards which we might wait for tomorrow but so I I you I look at the grid and every year I sort of do a little bit on not giving away everything because I don’t I want people to buy the guide and see this but I just do a little uh I do a little quiz with my producer as to certain things about that git so 21 vent personalities I’ll do with you Wyatt If you will indulge me here what division it’s actually divisions because it’s a tie which two divisions do you think had the most consensus in terms of who they thought would win the division this is a pretty easy one I think I think I’m going to go with NFC North you think that had the most consensus yes NFC North oh man you’re going to get me on this one here oh we thinking NFC and AFC North Incorrect and I’m a little a little disappointed in your choices the AFC West with the Kansas City Chiefs that one I can give away because most people would figure that’s who they who would have uh and then tied with that would be the NFC West so there’s the AFC West and NFC West those have the most consensus I won’t give away what the outlier was in h you’ll have to buy the guide and se but those those I don’t think as as big of a surprise but if I asked you which two divisions do you think were the most split in the middle that of the 21 instead of uh because the ones that I just mentioned 20 of the 21 picked the same team in both the NFC West and the AFC West in these two divisions it was a 101 one split which two divisions might you think that would be so don’t hate me but I definitely mixed up your questions though this is where I’m going to go with the NFC North and the AFC North you’re correct on the AFC North North okay NFC East because we we is it is I think it’s the fact that we haven’t had a repeat winner in you know since like 20125 years um it’s actually the AFC North is the one there’s there’s ones that are close to that but the AFC North would be the only one so it’s it’s it’s 10 101 in that one and one person was the outlier with his pick I won’t give his pick but that person would be Mike Sage he had an outlier in there okay co-host of the handle um okay and here’s one more question then which divisions plural two of them which do you think represented the most differ differentiation in picks to win that respective division in other words it was all over the place which two divisions this is from the grid of the VIS guide V NFL betting guide out tomorrow well how about the AFC East because with everything with you know Buffalo having to get rid of a lot of people um Aaron Rogers coming back for the Jets the Dolphins maybe people think they could take a step forward so I’m going to go AFC East for one of them AFC East is one of them all right and uh you know third time’s a charm am I going to finally get the NFC North incorrect uh AFC South would be the other one that had the most difference I hope everyone picked the Packers to win the NFC North here this is you keep trying to jam the NFC North through this from a this from a uh excuse me a a Packers a stockholder of the Green Bay Packers a stockholder of the Green Bay Packers who was just wanting that to be a very contested division um it’s like it when you’re in class you don’t know the answer so it’s like you know what c never lies just a couple more of these because I don’t want to get obviously people and everybody who wrote I can’t wait to read everybody’s articles on on each division the only division that I’m like really solid on currently in June for me personally is the NFC East um so I’m I’m anxious to uh talk to which we yeah Zack Cohen wrote wrote NFC so we can go back and forth on that tomorrow um no surprise zero surprises in the Grid in terms the wild card in the AFC that makes sense nothing would really shock you on the 21 time on the 63 aggregate picks uh in the NFC out of the 63 I would say there are four surprises four total surprises two on two different teams and then one play on two other teams let me see if you can just guess one of those four teams that were represented that I would call surprises in the wild card I think because they had such a a great draft and I hate him with a passion I’m going to go with the Chicago Bears you are correct they are one of the four outliers two votes for the Chicago Bears to get a wild card anyway there’s there’s all kinds of uh surprises there on the NFC side which makes sense and then I’ll just leave it at this the Super Bowl 21 picks on who’s going to win the Super Bowl how many different teams do you think were represented among those 21 people here at vison 21 football prognosticators how many different teams teams do you think were selected out of those 21 folks to win the Super Bowl I’m going to go with a healthy lucky number seven eight different teams go eight2 darn it eight different teams which I thought was I I I don’t think that I I don’t want to be prison at the moment I think that’s the most we’ve ever had in terms of the dispar uh the difference in in teams I would have to think just because off of you know consensus that it’s the reigning Champs it’s Patrick Mahomes it’s just how they you know how they somehow find a way to win that was the Chiefs the the more popular one or they were tied okay as the most popular but only with five right cuz there’s eight different teams represented uh and then real quick uh got to update our Astros 25 to1 to win the month of June I know we had a be I mean we had an army of folks who uh were on uh riding the March April Guardians we had fewer folks just a a little fewer on the uh on the Guardians in May I think there’s about I would estimate half are on the Astros with me at 25 to1 as we’re on the Guardians back in March April uh Astros win last night they beat the Rockies 5-2 they do not run up the score but they win and so your current Major League Baseball June wins rankings headed in to the final five days right now the New York metropolitans if the if the month were to end tonight which it doesn’t oh why just this just in but the New York metropolitans at 14 and6 right now in the lead by tiebreaker rules at Circa the other teams with 14 wins the 14 and seven Astros in second keep in mind the Mets and the Astros the Mets had the fewest games scheduled in the month of June the Astros had the second fewest and they are onew and they meet in a three game set this weekend at City Field it could be for all the marbles we’ll see so it’s the Mets 14- six the Astros at 14-7 both the Dodgers and Red Sox oh it’s also Dodgers Red Sox and Diamondbacks the three of those teams all at 14 and8 uh the Red Sox were on top before yesterday before they lost to the Blue Jays as far as our Astros bet heading into the game against the Rockies today which is an afternoon game at in Houston Rockies excuse me Astros big $2 favorites once again the Astros do not control their own destiny even though they play the Mets there are still three teams that they don’t control the destiny over that’s the Cardinals that is the Diamondbacks because of the extra games and it’s kind of two and a half the Guardians would have to beat them in run differential good and he says pretty sure somit gave out his pick on Sharp money for AFC North earlier this week okay that’s very possible I just didn’t know that he did that um but he would be the yes he would be the one outlier in the AFC North um and then uh Jason Stark just commenting on Paul Carr’s fine performance in soccer yesterday I think he hit both the England bets if I’m not mistaken um so good on Paulie for doing that do we have the great Jonathan Von too we do have the great jme jvt on Twitter he’s our senior NBA analyst and of course the co-host of visent prime time weekdays here at the network how you doing jbt I’m good I’m excited I can’t wait to see what this draft is going to bring Gil I have I have so much closing line value in all the props that I have so I cannot wait to hit uh probably zero or maybe one of them what could possibly what could possibly go wrong before we do the draft give me uh 30 30 to 60 seconds on the Mel Bridges trade your reaction yeah I think it’s a lot to pay for a guy like Mel Bridges he’s very good but he’s not like Star level dominant player so it is quite the hall for him at the same time if they get ogan and Obi back and they resign Isaiah hartenstein then this team’s going to be arguably the second best team in the Eastern Conference so you know if you give yourself a puncher chance in a series with the Boston Celtics you can’t really ask for much more than that so I think it’s really dependent on if they get OG and Isaiah hartenstein back but if you’re bringing both of those guys back I I really like what this team can do in the Eastern Conference and at the very least I think I’d be going into that this season with them as the second best team in the East and there by the way are the details Mel Bridges na 20 26 second round pick to the Knicks for uh boan bogdanovich four unprotected first rounders in 2025 27 29 and 31 we’re already talking 30s my goodness 2025 protected first round via the Bucks 2028 unprotected pick Swap and a 2025 second to boot for a guy who averag 19.6 points a game and joins his old villain Nova teammates three of them over there with the Knicks okay NBA draft you did a you did a great thing here you had a mock then with each uh player you had uh different ways to bet and then your Best Bets let’s just start at the top how do you think this goes at the top so I I find myself getting increasingly stubborn here so I am going to stand Pat and I’m going to say Donovan kingan is going to be the first overall pick and and talking with people and looking at everything Gil it was a great point that was brought up by Matt Mo of the action that we I was talking with him and we had him on the show yesterday which is we have all this smoke around the Hawks and kinging and the fact that Quinn Snyder wants him he’s the archetype of a player in Rudy goar that he has played with over there in Atlanta the coaching staff desires Donovan kingan and yet every time it’s like well but do you want to take him first overall and then all of a sudden when the information comes out that Zachary ruche is the the apple of the eye of the San Antonio Spurs guess who all of a sudden wants Zachary Reet with the first overall pick it’s the Atlanta Hawks so I’m going to stand Pat and I’m going to say you know what he makes positional sense it is a team that fancies himself as a playoff option they would rather go in the direction of a guy who’s got a really high floor I think Donovan kingan’s going to be the first overall pick John do you think that the the Hawks obviously won the lottery with really long odds do you think they were like so surprised they won that it sent them into a spiral like what we have no idea what we’re going to do and like to this moment they might not still know what they want to do they might not it sounds like too like ownership is one of those where they might come in and be like no no no we want player X so that’s going to be something that that maybe changes things at the last second and maybe it’s neither ree or clinging then because of which what happens there but it does get the sense that or it’s like one of those where it’s like sweet we got the first overall pick oh but nobody really wants to trade up for that first overall pick like because this draft is viewed as weaker and with a lot of Developmental pieces not really worth doing it and so they’re stuck in between a rock and a hard place okay so you’re standing firm on clinging you made a couple bets 12 to1 and 11 to1 W for kinging to go uh at number one in this draft so if R does not where does he go and what did you bet so I I do have a ticket on ree to go fourth overall to the San Antonio Spurs so my thinking here Gil is so if kingan goes number one we know at this point that Alex Zar is going to go number two uh he has tanked his position so that he can go number two he wants to go to Washington so that’s going to be the case the wild card is number three because we don’t know what Houston’s going to do there we don’t know if they’re going to trade that pick if they’re going to make it if Houston makes it it sounds like it’s going to be Reed Shepard by all counts he is about a $2 favorite to go third overall and that would leave the San Antonio Spurs sitting at for when their guy falls to them in Zachary Reet so I did add ret at about 15 to1 to go forth overall there uh We’ve shifted a little bit I think he’s about 6 to1 now to go with the fourth overall pick but it does sound like the San Antonio Spurs would like that and I think if kingan goes one the domino effect is such that Reet could be available there four I usually asked this before NFL drafts I say okay what do you think you know for sure is my standard go-to question isn’t Alex SAR to number two is the only thing we know for sure probably here yeah I think that’s a really safe bet and I I feel like so that and I feel like we know that the Rockets will trade or excuse me will take Shephard if they make the pick and that’s like that’s the big if right so we don’t know if they’re going to be there but all signs point to okay if we’re stuck here we’ll take the Kentucky guard who can shoot and can sit behind Red van v for a little bit but that’s you know you have to get one part there before you can get get to that other part which is they have to make the pick and we don’t know if that’s going to happen but for sure SAR that seems to be not a lock but as close as you can get to certain when it comes to an event like this you also bet the number five pick yeah so I bet the five pick I I’ve got misus Bellis going there again that was about plus 2503 to one uh he is now sitting at the odds on status I think he’s sitting around like minus 150 for that overall selection uh there is like a uh I think it’s like a brother son connection with front office an agent for buellis so there’s something there that ties them together uh there’s been a desire from Detroit to draft him even before they got trer langon in there the new president of basketball operations he also boellis fits the archetype of the player that langon did want when he was over in New Orleans so there’s a lot of connections there there’s a lot of information there so now he’s up to minus 140 there is info there but I I think that there’s something else that’s floating out there and I want to give this guy credit because I generally have uh Gil James Edwards who covers the Pistons does a really good job with them and last year was miles ahead of everybody with assar Thompson to go number five and one of the things that he reported the other day was that the real secret desire of Detroit is to actually get out of this selection and maybe their real desire is a guy like ton Salon the other Frenchman who’s floating around like 10th overall 10th overall in terms of his draft position that’s something to look out for because if kingan is still available there that would be a spot for a team like Oklahoma City or Memphis to move up much more palatable than going up to number three and drafting Donovan kingin in that spot so that’s a really big spot to watch three and five I think are the really big spots to watch for potential trades that involve clinging and teams moving up is that James Edwards who used to play for the Pistons or a different James Edwards who covers the Pistons uh I believe it’s James Edwards who covers the Pistons I see okay um okay last two things because we have 60 seconds here Zack Edy a top tener in the end or no I’m GNA say no you know it’s weird because there’s this thing out there that Portland might want him at seven but Portland’s got Robert Williams and DeAndre Aton and I just don’t know if that makes s like if you want to draft them later because they do have two first- round picks that makes sense but drafting him at seventh I don’t really buy it and then there’s not many teams I think in there that are in such desperate need of a center that they would bur a top 10 pick on a guy like Zach Edy it should it’s worth noting that Utah allegedly is in the market for a center because it sounds like maybe Walker Kessler could be traded here in the off season but again I don’t think you’re using 10 I think you’re using another one of your late first round picks there so I would say Zack Ed know on a top 10 pick all right you know where I’m going last bronnie what’s the latest what do you think I mean it’s hard not to just say he goes 55th right I don’t think the suns are going to spend a first round selection on him that he hasn’t worked out for any other team maybe somewhere early in the second a team wants to take a flyer on him there’s things to like but I think more often than not like DraftKings has at 49 and a half other spots have 54 A2 rather go over 49 and a half with him okay John enjoy good luck on your bets this should be fun yes I cannot wait thank you Gil Jonathan vonal guy who doesn’t even put it up right cuz he’s like so he he doesn’t have to deal with it and so part of the takeaway is maybe he’s better off not putting him up if this is what is on the is this is what from the places that put him up like I’d rather not go through the the horror of it anyway that’s for tomorrow we’ll get into it I did manage to get some bets down we’ll talk about those later wasn’t happy with the way he was being interviewed I said I need to take care of this I got to have him on and do it the right way so that’s interesting did you feel that way about the other 35 guests from a numbers game also that you have on there is that you’re like I don’t like that he there a question about the fish he was just this this is not the best question ter that’s right uh Drew had an NFL I asked him for an NFL tidbit or a thought he has an NFL opinion that I is very contrar that I have not heard anywhere else so that’ll be the uh little teas there you go there you go by the way I didn’t bring this up with jbt when we were talking about the Grid on our vent Betting Guide our vent NFL betting guide he was the outlier in the AFC West he was the outlier of the AFC West so again jbt picked somebody other than the Chiefs that is correct he did to win the NFC West I picked I heard bits and pieces so I’m guessing he picked the Chargers man I mean you’re I guess it’s I mean some at some point they’re not going to win it it’s been basically like a decade of this I would think it would take a momes injury I mean at some point maybe they just don’t fire and have a bad year but I don’t know I kind of have to see it to believe it that’s you’re with us to talk football tomorrow right so I won’t ask you any football I won’t ask you any of your outlying football thoughts yet I we’ll save those for tomorrow but let’s talk about one let’s talk male Bridges you have thoughts on this I guess we can call it a blockbuster trade just in terms of the hall do you think it’s a Blockbuster in terms of the result for the Knicks boy you gave up five ones for a 28- yearold he’s going to be 28 when the season starts for a guys’s never made the allstar team he’s a good player he’s a really good 3 and D player I think he’ll be better with better players around him I didn’t think he played great last year I don’t know I get it for the Knicks and I’m not opposed to it I like it I don’t love it I just don’t know like this is kind of an all-in move and boy are you really GNA win a championship with Brunson and bridges your two best players I like Brunson I like Bridges but your two best players they’re actually going to win a championship probably not it’s ironic or I don’t know if it’s ironic or coincidental I think it’s coincidental that uh they’re kind of locking themselves into what the ’90s Nicks were where they’re going to be in the second round third round maybe if they got a break they could get to an NBA Finals they’re still not as good as Boston I do think this puts them ahead of a healthy Milwaukee where look they’re going to be a you know a two or three seed and they’re going to have depth it’s a it’s a good team I just don’t know if it’s a championship team it’s just they had all the these picks to trade and there’s not look nobody’s trading you luuka donic or Nicole yic there’s not that A+ Superstar so I get it I like it I don’t love it I think for the Nets I love I that’s a home run they needed to reset they were just in no man’s land they had this stupid thing where hey we’re not going to trade with the Knicks because it’s our cross town rival they had to trade with each other since 1983 they did the right thing they did the smart thing say I who cares who we trade them to we’re not good we’re not going to be any good let’s get the most we can and they had a reset Buton I think they have their pick for next year right I look I I tried to figure out all the different minations of the moving picks all these teams trading the pcks back and forth to each other it’s almost like that episode of The Wire where uh where Omar robs Prop Joe he steals all the drug stash then he sells it back to him because he has nobody to sell it to it’s confusing with all these different the Nets are going to go into next year with like basically uh I mean it’s still you’re still going to be a long shot to get Cooper flag but assuming they have their pick and they have a ton of picks now can have a shot at Cooper flag I mean they’re probably the worst team they’re in the on the short list of worst teams so I love it for the Nets I I think it’s okay I’m lukewarm on it for the Knicks it’s so true by the way great Prop Joe reverence I have a proposition for you great show great show greatest show of all time last thing on this it just occurred to me as you were talking has is there any comp for this comp for this in any sport basketball or otherwise of a team just recreating a great college team I know uh in football uh the Skins comically tried to recreate the Alabama defense Philadelphia did it even more recently with the Georgia defense but this with Villanova is just off the charts can you think of anything like this no I mean what alij want Drexler with that qualify some of these teams in the NFL are pairing up the college quarterback and college receiver you know the burrow chase the Tua and um Wadd that kind of thing Herz and Devonte Smith where they’re they’re putting these guys from college together but this is it really is bizarre that’s one of the great Twitter clips of all time of Stephen A Smith going on about is right before the 2016 national title game Nova and unc’s like villan Nova does not have one Pro Prospect on this whole team and like half the entire starting FES on his favorite team uh that’s right Bridges Divan chenzo Brunson and Hart won one together and then they won the second one without Hart okay um NBA draft bets what did you bet I mean I took clinging a while ago I did take a little reace at minus to something to just cover myself and then I did sprinkle a few long shots I’m with the castle pick I just think hey he worked out for Atlanta like Drew mentioned I even sprinkle sprinkled a little re Reed Shepard I was listening to Ryan rill and Bill Simmons a couple weeks ago and look rill is pretty tied into the league he’s like Shepard has the one skill with the shooting that hey if you’re just kind of in between on these players you don’t know who to pick you at least have a dead eye shooter and maybe maybe a take him it’s just such a weak draft for anything’s possible so if you’re going into tonight with no bets and you want to just throw a few long shots I think uh this is a good draft where maybe it takes some moonshots just because there’s so much uncertainty I mean I think reash is going first tonight it’s a little interesting we haven’t gotten that confirmation from WJ or Shams it’s been very quiet and WJ did put out the caveat hey he’s it’s funny how w words these things he said reash is prominent in Hawks conversations which thanks a whole lot of nothing because if they don’t pick him yeah it leaves you out for for not really being wrong and remember last year Shams had the whole thing of uh scoot is rising up draft boards then he said nothing then he didn’t go end up going second as you remember you had all those bets on Miller so I don’t know maybe we get a stunner it’s probably reset but maybe we get a stunner and I disagree with jbt I think uh Edy I bet him at three to one to go in the top 10 I bet he under 16 and a half I think it’s 15 and a half now I think under 15 and a half is good I just get the sense that he’s Rising that these at seven n 10 they at least have that one skill they can wrap their arms around in terms of the size and I remember a former GM saying this I forget which which guy it was he said when you’re unsure of who to pick go with familiarity because go with the guy that you can go to the owner and the owner’s heard of where if you pick somebody and the owner never heard of him and he stinks it’s hard to explain yeah but if you pick Ed and he stinks hey you you we watched Ed he was big he could rebound it’s easier to explain when it’s a guy you’re familiar with and um so so I think Edie under is a good one and just from like an interest standpoint first of all it’s really breaking my brain that this draft is on a Wednesday it’s been on Thursday my whole life and this draft is always one of my favorite nights of the year it’s really it really hurts it that we just don’t know a lot of these players I remember watching this as a kid you do every single player occasionally there was a high school guy occasionally there was a European guy or whatever a foreign guy but he used to not only see all these guys in college but see him for multiple years we don’t know any of these guys it’s amazing it really hurts the draft so I don’t know that’s kind of disappointing but always half strikeouts he has gotten a very short leash last time uh in the fourth inning he only G up three runs they ganked him like 70 pitches so pepio under six and a half KS Mets plus one and a half but Jerry J has has all of a sudden decided not to pay anybody so it’s like this totally different Dynamic where he’s like Ah that’s how I’ve had it he’s like finally figuring it out um so I don’t know what he’s going to do with Dak and then Washington has all this as as our next guest CAD can tell us being on the Monumental Sports Network there in the DMV Washington has all these different like Patchwork coaches in front office now and so you just hope the Kid Jaden Daniels doesn’t get killed and I think they have the widest spectrum of outcomes of any team in that Division and then the Giants might be worse than last year and Brian deal who got coach of the year and I was just absolutely out of my mind that he got it because I thought he got credit for all kinds of like random Good you have Scotty this past week and what do we do about Scotty at this point um specifically with an eye towards the Open Championship which the consensus feels like the consensus golf expert feels like what I’m getting from them is yeah but it’s a links course so I’m not so sure this is Scotty’s it’s a good point I mean every time we make that argument Scotty tends to do really think we lost uh we lost CA right there in the middle of that answer let’s see if we can uh effort him back um Scotty has just been he has frustrated golf betters to to no end just knia right off the air uh yeah I listen I have bet a little Scotty every time no matter the number it’s brain dead it’s I’m in this brain dead stretch right now where I am I bet Scotty brain dead every tournament that he’s in I was mentioning with the Guardians bets and with the Astros bets brain dead like I never bet baseball that way like I’m I’m in a fan grass page it’s worked out well CA thead back with us now uh sorry about your passion yeah it was your passion that was too much to be honest with you the whole Scotty Sheffer issue it’s it is such a turnoff which is exactly what happened here with uh with my mic it it’s hard to bet golf right now I mean it just truly is and I think and I’ve been on this show before I mean just a few weeks ago maybe it was a couple months ago where I was like hey let’s start betting the without Scotty sheffler Market when it comes to the Open Championship there’s a couple long shots that I would probably consider or maybe even like a long shot I’m talking like Terrell Haden at 40 to1 for example but it’s tough to bet this Scotty sheffler Market he’s too good and what I was trying to say before is with the Mallet putter um this this putting has really come around now and now we’re we’re at a place where we know the ball striking is going to be good and there’s a really good chance the putting is going to be good uh now granted you got the live people back when it comes to these Majors so it does factor in a little bit extra versus these Signature Events that don’t have the live guys back but I’m not betting Scotty but I’ll bet him in the without Scotty sheffler Market all right Open Championship coming up but not before the rocket mortgage Classic this week uh Tom Kim who Scotty beaten a playoff this past week at The Travelers he is the short shot at 12 to1 cam young 16 to1 everybody else 20 to1 or longer who’d you bet out right here seea so I think this tournament lends itself a little bit to some long shots maybe winning and the reason I say that is because it’s not your classic like ball strikker course where a guy like Tom Kim can really separate himself now Tom is the favorite for good reason but there’s no way at a tournament like this which tends to be kind can be kind of like a putting Fest and who gets hot for two to three to four rounds there’s no way I’m betting a short shot here unless I’m hyper hyper confident which I’m not in a guy like Tom Kim or Cam young or Min muli or even AA batia I go down the board a little bit I I see Taylor pendrith here at 25 to1 that’s where he is in most markets but he was 35 to1 when this opened that’s when I got him he’s been really hot not just with the putter but at this course over the last two years he’s been 14th he’s been second and he’s really good off the tea and he’s been really hot with the putter that’s kind of what I’m looking for here along with good wedge play which actually feeds into Robert McIntyre at 40 to1 that’s my like I basically have two outrights here and it’s those two both guys are good off the tea both can get hot with the putter Robert McIntyre has some issues with the approach play but his wedge game which is going to be important here is actually pretty decent so 40 to1 35 to1 that’s kind of the Wheelhouse for this particular tournament when you don’t have Scotty when you don’t have Xander when you don’t have kentley and guys like that you can afford to go down the board a little bit Taylor pendrith then you bet other ways as well including a top 30 that’s right I like Taylor pendrith in the top 30 Market along with Aaron Ry and thorbjorn olison Olson’s kind of an outlier in this group he’s not necessarily great off the tea approach play and putting he’s been really good there and he’s just very under the radar you look at his finishing positions he’s been pretty good as far as Aaron Ry he’s not great with the putter but he’s excellent everywhere else so I don’t like R an outright because I don’t think he can close with basically a neutral to negative putter but top 30 is very comfortable for me at minus 115 by the way that Olsten number plus 190 uh but as far as pendrith is concerned he’d have to have a bad tournament he’s been really hot he’s won already on tour this year he’d have to have a bad tournament to finish outside of the T30 so I have him outright but if he doesn’t win the outright I don’t mind paying the minus 125 for T30 yeah and uh first round leader which you’re known for with your golf bets uh some familiar names that you’ve already mentioned penny McIntyre Olsen among the handful that you’ve done for first round leader that’s right again a lot of these guys are in the morning tea time but I don’t know that the morning’s going to have like the typical advantage that they normally do with the wind and the weather so a couple of these are in the afternoon uh but either way pendrith and Robert McIntyre these guys can pop for a round we actually saw it last week with Taylor pendrith Who’s surprised he was one of my first round leaders I was on this show I talked about it he was five under like pretty early in his round eventually guys like Tom Kim passed him uh but he was contending he’s good in first rounds he can pop same with Robert McIntyre Olson kind of an outlier at 90 to1 Alejandro toasty can get hot for round for sure at 90 to1 and then Kelly craft and we’re sprinkling a dollar or two on this right uh Kelly craft at 150 to one a birdie maker on a course that suits him Royal trun for the Open Championship but three weeks away so uh still one more golf major to come uh looking forward to that but in the meantime uh tournaments abound rocket mortgage Classic this week seea with all of his plays see kind enough to join us for a second segment on the other side he is not in the uh vent NFL betting guy but he’s got thoughts of his own we’ll uh talk to him about what his outlying viewpoints might be what he thinks he knows for sure maybe some
