the world number one pickle ball and tennis players both use lead tape and so should you here are the top four ways to weigh your paddle part one the most common lead tape option is to go right here and here this is the bare minimum way to get a bigger sweet spot and more power without reducing hand speed too much if you are interested in getting even more out of lead tape follow for part two

  1. Actually, adding weight there doesn't appreciably increase the size of the sweet spot laterally, which is what most players want in order to help avoid twisting on off-center hits. To increase the width of the sweet spot, it's most effective to add weight as far as possible in the lateral direction. To do this while minimizing the effect on hand speed, the weight should be added to the lower corners of the paddle (slightly further up than what's shown in the video).

Getting just a little mathematical here, but the effect of adding weight varies with the SQAURE of the distance from the centerline of the paddle. So adding weight that is, say, 4 inches from the centerline of the paddle is 4 times as effective as adding it only 2 inches from the centerline (which is where the weight is added in the video).
