and I hate to phrase it this way Rory mroy lost he he didn’t just come in second he he lost with blowing those two putts there down the stretch after catching fire and after birdies on three out of four holes Allan the look on his face when he exited when when he saw dambo dropped the putt on 18 the way he left it was painful and and it leaves me waking up this morning asking if he will ever win one of these things again that’s why I pre you know tournament golf is such compelling theater because you are all alone out there on that stage you can’t hide behind your teammates and when it starts going bad it happens in slow motion you know it’s a lot of time in between shots and you can feel this energy building and you know Rory played beautiful golf for 14 holes I mean he was the hottest player on the golf course he was he was two shots clear the field he just he had total command of his game he was driving it beautifully the big question with Rory these Majors his Putters let him down so many times on Sunday and he was walking in 20 Footers like it was a practice round I mean it was it just felt like this was the moment it was finally happening you know Bryson couldn’t hit a fairway and was just scuffling with the golf course the whole time and and then to see to see Rory just get The Yips like that it was so jarring and also you know the rest of his game let him down too I mean he’s got a seven iron they on 16 is a part three balls on a te and he can’t hit the green now that wasn’t an easy flag to get it close to but you have to hit the green um you know 18 when he Snipes it into the you know this is the generational best driver of the golf ball we’ve ever seen Snipes it off of 18 Fairway and leaves himself in full scramble mode like he just his entire game as soon as he got the lead everything everything flipped he just started playing tight and again you you always felt like Bryson was playing to win and all of a sudden looked like Roy was playing not to lose and he just he just got defensive and and tentative and obviously that was manifested in his putting stroke um you know the putt on the last hole downhill left to right slider on a super fast green nobody wants that but he kind of tried to baby it in as if he was worried about the comebacker the comebacker doesn’t matter as Bryson showed when he made that part you have got to make the first putt Rory should have jammed it in the hole and just that um and of course the one that that he missed on 16 you know that was that was an easy straight Putt and he just dead pulled it it was just a nervous fast stroke so um it was hard to watch it really was and it’s definitely fair to question how Rory is going to recover from this the only glimmer of hope if you’re a mroy fan is that prior to this the worst loss he’d ever suffered was 2011 Masters you we had a four shot lead on Sunday and he completely came undone and you know was in the the cabin that famous shot on the 10th hole shot 80 and the very next mage of the US Open he came back and he won by eight strokes and he found something inside of himself to bounce back it’s going to take it’s G to take that kind of sou searching and and that kind of tenacity and mental toughness but it’s a lot easier when you’re a young Phenom without so much Scar Tissue I mean everything Rory’s been through on and off the golf course since then it just seems like his nerve endings are a little fried and it’s unfathomable that he’s never going to win another major championship again through this this Prime when is winning everything else but that’s where we are it’s it’s it was a brutal loss and how he recovers is going to be fascinating Allan you were there how was it viewed when he left a little chish a little immature I mean and but also to me it was a lost opportunity for Rory because there have been plenty of gutting losses on the golf course you think about Greg Norman at Augusta 96 you think about Phil at Wingfoot you know Tom Watson at ter you can go down the list these guys stood up and they faced the music and in their conversations after the tournament with reporters the humanity poured out and they became much more sympathetic characters and the pain they were feeling and and you know the golf world kind of grieved along with them for Rory just to peel out and jilt essentially the fans because you know reporters we don’t matter other than we’re the voice of the fans we get to ask the questions that the fans want the answer to you we’re just their Confederates and you know fans were kind of denied some closure they wanted to hear about Rory what happened what he was feeling and um so it was it just was a mistake on a lot of levels I mean it Rory has banked a lot of Goodwill Through The Years U this is not going to curdle his relationship necessarily with the press or with with golf fans but um I think it just just it’s gonna follow him more you know he could have gotten up there and not said a word and just burst into tears and the whole world would have wanted to hug him you know and now he’s just going to prolong this Agony he’s still going to have to face the music eventually um so I I think it was a tactical mistake but uh clearly it’s reflective of how much pain he was feeling and uh you know I’m sure golf fans have know he’s he’s been through this thing with his wife or he filed for divorce and they got back together and the emotional way to that like I certainly understand him not W to talk and not answer questions like that’s a human reaction but um you know he’s paid $80 million a year to be a spokesman for for golf and to be it’s one of its biggest stars and that it’s not just when you win it’s also when you lose that people want to hear from you yeah you think he plays this week I would be amazed if he did I mean I don’t know how he gets he gets out of bed and looking forward to the Grind of tournament preparation and um you know he he shut it down at various times in the past signing mental health breaks that he needed um how does he mo motivate himself for Harford other than maybe he does want to put this bam and he wants to make some birdies he wants to make some three- Footers and he just wants to try and put this in the rearview mirror and not let it linger longer but I mean I’m personally exhausted just from watching the last round yesterday I don’t know how Rory gets out of bed and does it again so soon but it’ll be we’ll see Catch the rich eyes and show every single day on the Roku Channel 1200 to 3 Eastern for free

This was a complete choke job by Rory smh. Up 2 shots with 5 holes left and bogeys 2 out of the 5 holes just unbelievable. An I felt going into the round Dechambeau would win because I didnt trust Rory to pull it off an I was right.
Simple… Rory gets over this by 'playing' with Amanda Balionis
Like I said, DeChambeau won only because Rory missed two putts. Do you really want to win that way. ?? Money or no money.
I believe Rory is going to have a Phil Mickelson/Masters moment, where he finally overcomes the inability to Win in Majors. He may get 10 or more after that.
if Rory had faced the music after the tournament, he'd go on to win another major… by skipping out like he did, he showed he doesn't''t have the guts to win.
Can't believe he did not stay and congratulate the winner. it might have helped him recover in some small way.
Yeah, poor Rory. How will he cope with this heartbreak!
Probably by going home and realizing that he is filthy rich and can do anything he wants whenever he wants. Maybe he could look at the US Open trophy that he already has.
Really tough life. Meanwhile the rest of us have real jobs, mortgage payments, bills. Maybe we'll get a vacation this year. Maybe we won't feel so bad for a pro athlete who finished second in a golf tournament.
Bryson experienced a heartbreaking loss the previous major and he was the first one to congratulate the winner. Have to stand up and be a gracious loser. Often, that is more important than winning.
Alan looks absolutely giddy…weird.
Why is this guy airing from his car? Did the wife boot him out of the house
How the Hell can you feel 'painful' after winning two million dollars?
Sure, it would be nice to have taken home 4, but you just got paid 500k a day for 4 days work. And he had no one to blame for coming in second place but himself. So if that's 'losing', I'll lose all frikkin' week and still work the weekend!
The thing is most people in the media hate Bryson. The media picks winners and when they don't win they can't figure it out. Every player that entered the US Open had to play 72 holes to win. Those that made the cut all played the same holes on the same days. Bryson had the lowest score so he won. Everyone else lost. The media just can't figure it out. The media is a collective bunch of dumb asses.
Rory needs to "Putt" this behind him ASAP
Learn to "LIV" with it Rory McSook. The better man won. 🎉😂
TOURNAMENT GOLF IS COMPELLING THEATRE
Paige Spirinac = "Smoke Show". Rory = "Choke Show".
It was Bryden’s destiny to win. It was Rory’s destiny to lose. What happened was inviolable.
He was deeply hurt by the loss. There, but for the grace of God, goeth i.
Don’t be too quick to condemn him.
He will bounce back and recover and dominate. He has the game.
He is a great guy with great humanity.
The fact is his daughter is way more important than golf….
Dude on the left looks like mr potato head
Rory could have shown some class by staying for the interviews and congratulate BD. Deep down when he sped out of the parking lot, he was angry with himself and knew he did not want to be on camera. Sam Snead got the "yips" later in his career. Two pulled putts by Rory is a brain discharge when the pressure is on. That is something he never expected and now has to overcome. The fact he had the mojo in sinking those putts for birdies on an unforgiving course and could not close the deal will only make The Open in July a lot harder just to maintain that position again. He will come back and be in the running, but the closure issue will be in the back of his mind. Bryson is the people's golfer and he will only get better and the crowds larger.
Withdrew from Travelers.
To be the Poster boy for PGA, getting paid millions for bonuses and bashed players that joined LIV, just shows you his true character. After all these years, the guy still acts like a spoiled brat. At least Bryson congratulated Xander for that epic win at the PGA championship. Just my humble opinion.
Here's where you are wrong guys……Rory was not all alone out there. He had his best mate on his bag. Who did nothing to steady Rory down in the crucial moments. If Rory had a professional experienced caddy who could over-ride Rory's destructive tendencies at pressure moments he might now be a major winner again. Rory has handicapped himself on the golf course because he won't tolerate a 2nd opinion on his bag or take calming influence.
The pro PGAT media are acting like Rory was dominating and blew a massive lead – it was Bry58n who almost choked away a 3 shot lead, but had the grit to comeback and secure it on the 18th hole.
If Tiger can come back and win a Major after his wife hunts him down and slams a 5-iron in his windshield, and loses 17 girlfriends over the next week….I think Rory can handle this one.
Rory is such a sore loser
Why did you conclude he sniped it left on 18? He was playing a fade and it just went straight…which brings up the question, why? His standard go to shot is the high draw, which he can hit in his sleep….yet, for some reason, he decided to try and fit a fade in there…bizarre…I get what the hole calls for, but at that point, pressure on and a major on the line, you have to go to to your safest shot…he hit an ok recovery, but then his chip went past the hole and set up the hardest putt you can possibly think of for the final hole….
I think this is a turning point for Rory and he will like.Phil did in 2004 when he won his first masters of years of losses ,he will use this loss to win majors again. People have to realize Rory has.pressure and expectations like no other. He is no Tiger so it got to him. If he can deal with it and he has to stare the demon in the eye and tee up again he will over come
If he goes into hiding then his career maybe over. .also it will help if he stops acting like a statesman and stay out of the PGA LiV issues. Focus on what is best for him. Let Tiger deal with it.
.
rory didn't jilt the fans. that's a dumb comment. the media stinks.
RORY IN NOT THE FIRST NOR WILL HE BE THE LAST GOLFER TO MISS A PUTT TO WIN. ANY BODY REMEMBER HUBERT GREEN OR DOUG SANDERS FROM YEARS PAST. EVERY PLAYER HAS MISSED A SHORT PUTT ON THURSDAYS, FRIDAY, SATURDAY OR SUNDAY, THEY ALL COUNT IN THE END. 😢
