we’re going to give the New York media credit for the questions they posed to Robert solo about Hassan reic in a minute but no one asked Salah where’s Rogers what’s this event that’s very important to him what is it let us judge what’s objectively important and I I don’t like to tell people what they should or shouldn’t prioritize in their own lives because we all make our decisions based upon what is important to us and what’s important to me might not be important to you but at the same time there are certain things that are objectively clearly important and there are certain things that you could look at objectively and say that’s really not all that important if you think it is there’s something wrong with you but we don’t know what it is and nobody asked him what it is and I asked the Jets last night did anyone ask Robert what the event was and the response was I think so but I’d have to look at the transcript to confirm so I said you know what screw it I’ll watch the whole 20-minute press conference and see if there’s anything in there about where Aaron Rogers is and there wasn’t so my response was I just watched the whole thing there’s no references to what it was and the response was the you know you click a little thumbs up on the text I I still want to know where he was so you know do anyone ask where he was well I think it’s in the transcript well it’s not thumbs up good job looking at it what is that I love it I love it they were like well let’s see was 20 minutes of his life and watch and see if he can figure it out I have a feeling they know that whatever it was and please New York media please listen God I pray the next time you talk to Salah or Rogers first question what was the event that was so important that it created this mess that was completely avoidable in June what we need to know what it was can you please tell us I hope that’s the first question I I I I listen to to your point my experience in the NFL things like that right and again I might be wrong and maybe Rogers walks in the building today and says where he was and maybe it was really important maybe it was and if it will it is I stand correct in and I apologize but my experience in the NFL around these situations when it’s something so important like you said that all people will go okay I get that they would have said it you would have heard people would have leaked it it would all be out there right that that would be my experience of connecting dots reading between the tea leaves whatever you want to say as a lot of smart people say out there that would be my two cents on that the fact that you’re texting PR and that we’ve heard nothing from New York media if it was something really important I think somebody have been like like hey you know something happened to a a close friend a family member he had to be here at the whatever right I mean something of that nature and we’re not hearing that which makes but the important event important event sounds like it’s external to his family his it’s it’s something something he wanted to go to right right some a concert a a convention a seminar there was it just the way that Robert Sol C this may be part of the the way they mishandled it by saying it the way they said it I think the reasonable person hears that and says there was something going on that conflicted with today there was a June 11 something right that Aaron Rogers wanted to go to and he chose to go to that he prioritized that over work and that’s fine if you don’t say all the stuff you said on January the e8th that’s what makes it hard that’s fine if you’re not so you know if there’s already questions how Allin is this guy how committed is he is he already thinking about life after the Jets does he regret coming to the Jets is he just collecting his money and waiting to get the hell out of here what’s really going on inside of his brain when you prioritize something else that isn’t an urgent Family Matter that came up out of nowhere that was unexpected right wife goes into labor uh some family member has a serious illness or is it you know if if look what what whatever it is is I’m willing to objectively look at it and say okay I can understand why Aaron Rogers prioritize that overcoming a mandatory mini camp but it just underscores how poorly the Jets handled it if the reason is something that most people would say I get it the fact that it’s a a shell game an Abbott and costell routine to get to what it is it tells me they know if we knew most people would say he man he should have been at work that day he should he should have just passed on whatever it was that he decided to miss a day of mandatory mini camp for or both days of mandatory mini camp as the case may be well it you know I I just go back into you know again who he’s competing against what he’s got going right now his overall Legacy right it’s are it’s an important year for him I mean it is I mean he’s he’s in danger if he doesn’t have a good year people are going to go man you know his last three years of his NFL career BL like BL is right right I mean you know but it’s it’s it’s it’s Tom Brady I don’t remember hearing anything about him first two years he went there missing OTAs right right but at the same time that last year all of a sudden miss training camp Oh I’m going to go to Mr Craft’s wedding on a Friday night during the regular season of Miss Saturday those are the things we start to go does he really care as much anymore is he all in on it what’s what’s the deal here and of course the play wasn’t very good the play wasn’t very good the last year for Brady that way so that’s where you know I I it’s fair to wonder and I think a lot of people in the football world are are wondering as far as that’s concerned with Rogers yeah I don’t get it I really don’t and uh I think it’s a a big mistake that he made here unless it’s something again that we find out that was extremely important and then I I will stand corrected but as a like right now I have a hard time believing that Diana Rini has tweeted five minutes ago Aaron is skipping all of jets mandatory mini camp because he prefers to be somewhere else away from football that’s his choice that’s far different than a very important event that couple of days so they knew he wasn’t going to be here and it does whole time well and it doesn’t feel like it’s been because solid tried to sell this idea yesterday and maybe it’s accurate but there’s a lot of questions here that they’ve known about it since the outside of OTAs he prefers to be somewhere else away from football what what is that what does that even mean he prefers to be somewhere else away from football you you’ve got two days and then you’re away from football for six freaking weeks yeah I I don’t I I I would I I wonder I mean Diana Rini is awesome I wonder where she’s getting this from as far as he prefers to be somewhere else away from football you know again I I I don’t know but either way she’s found out that yeah he ain’t going to be there and when we heard Salah say earlier in the show hey the next couple of days will be good for that I mean so they knew he wasn’t going to be here for the entirety of this and again I think if it was something really really important that the whole universe would agree and go okay I get it we would have heard what that is my experience tells me it’s something that they’re like okay it’s important to you but seriously and we can’t say that out loud because you know dudes like forio and Sims are going to be like what the the hell are you doing are you missing that for that so that’s what it looks like to me right now I I can’t even believe that our our good friend JK a lifelong Jets fan who is tormented every right he’s one of the ones that’s texted me this morning and last night about this right well he he texted us the things you Google when you are a Jets fan and I have a page that shows oh my go 10day I retreat in Peru June 11 to June I retreat in colia June 11 to 17 so he potentially is in Peru or Colombia see this is the can of worms he’s opened up now though this is what he’s this is what I mean he’s going to have you know the New York fan base playing Inspector Gadget trying to figure out where the hell he is and and trying to make sure it’s something important right and if he is on one of those Retreats he better hope it’s one of those ones where there’s no cell phone cuz if it’s a retreat I guarantee there’s a New Yorker there cuz New Yorkers are everywhere and one of them’s a Crazy Jet fan and he’s gonna bring out the damn phone and go I found him click click yeah I mean it’s it’s uh it’s nuts and it was all at its core a failure by the Jets to properly handle the situation because there is a way to strategically plan for an outcome to this that doesn’t create a five alarm fire for the New York Jets unless at some level maybe we’re not giving them enough credit maybe they’re pissed and this is the closest they’ll come to showing that they’re pissed they just kind of sprinkle enough so people like us will say what the hell is going on and we can be pissed on their behalf I don’t think that’s the case though because I think that you and I would be hearing things from people with the Jets to further guide us along the right path as to what’s happening here I think that’s the case although who knows that was that was one of the things that Aaron Rogers was upset about he said last year it’s chicken to put this stuff out there when they were putting stuff out about Zach Wilson and you know may maybe maybe they stopped short of saying anything to anyone on official channels or unofficial channels the primary phones or burner phones or you know smoke signals whatever they’re not going to be in a position to be blamed by Rogers for saying anything they just dropped enough of a turd in the punch bowl that you and I could see it and point to it and they just say hey we’re just you know we’re trying to help we’re just trying to help we we excused your absence and we didn’t have to or no we didn’t that’s the problem that’s the thing this doesn’t this doesn’t tell me there’s highle genius that is making the Strategic plans for how the Jets are going to handle this I think they’re flx by it and they’ve tried their best to make chicken salad and it didn’t work yeah well I mean they they’re they’re wise enough to know the the storm that’s brewing a little bit here and that hey it’s been all you know rose pedals on the ground and red carpet and we love you Aaron roders but I mean hey this group knows how quickly it can turn in New York uh they know they’re experiencing it right now it’s so they they’re they’re I’m sure you know to use your word flumix confused why and and understand that this can start an avalanche in the New York area of like oh no now we’re just we’re we’re under attack every day and Aaron Rogers has looked at a microscope every day and where is he what’s he doing is he all in on football and again that that’s no one to blame here but Aaron Rogers so far it’s it’s
