no hockey today or tomorrow or the next day it starts Saturday so Stanley Cup starting Saturday and uh NBA Finals is NBA finals Thursday or Friday Friday what is it Thursday yeah that’s what I said Oh I thought you said tomorrow tomorrow is Wednesday yeah today’s Tuesday and then after that it’s Thursday typically schedule Tuesday Wednesday then it’s Thursday confirmed the day after what’s after Friday the hockey Saturday Saturday okay all right we got this all figured out got uh NBA Finals is Thursday that’s what I said yes of course I did say that you guys got confused not me so no basketball until Thursday no hockey until Saturday um it’s OTAs it’s mandatory OTAs for 10 teams it’s Dolphins Texans Colts Titans Cowboys Eagles Bears Lions Vikings Niners oh my yes Todd do you fact the NBA has lost some momentum Paul he sent out something last night I couldn’t agree more that in some ways while you’re sitting around and you’re itching for the basketball finals the NBA Finals to start that it feels like the season somehow ended abruptly and we’re waiting a whole week I know they have to because if the you know the series go seven games you can’t start it sooner but it was ridiculous that it’s taking this many days to get going again yeah I agree they lost some momentum you would love to see them have already played or playing a game tonight uh same with hockey as well you want to capitalize on that momentum and with the NBA you’re trying to build momentum because you don’t have it you know the Celtics are there okay Dallas being in there all right let’s go let’s see them play Maybe Luca Kyrie get a chance Luca gets his first title the Celtics maybe they win a title you got uh Conor McDavid with Edmonton and Edmonton back in the Stanley Cup Final you got the Florida Panthers you want to build on that and you know what’s happened is timing is everything when it comes to a story and the Caitlyn Clark Story how it’s been placed where it’s been placed Not By Design but it’s there there’s nothing going on so you’re looking for stories now everybody’s got an opinion on Caitlyn Clark uh newspapers TV shows regular TV shows Good Morning America Not Just Sports shows because there’s nothing else going on now you got the uh mandatory OTAs but other than that there’s no real headlines here Caitlyn Clark has become a headline we’ll talk a little bit more about that the Fallout from now every everybody has a an opinion on this everybody wants to tell you how much they know about the WNBA you have these singular figures you know tiger did this with golf Messi with the MLS I mean Conor McDavid may be able to do that with hockey Gretzky did it with hockey a long time ago where you tune in for that one person maybe not the sport that one person and golf is still trying to replace tiger uh what Caitlyn has done with the WNBA so there’s a lot of nuance to this story and uh we’ll try to capture some of that coming up here in a little bit do you rather have courtside seats to the NBA finals or seats on the glass for the Stanley Cup Final I would rather be on the glass for the Stanley Cup Final and why is that it’s it’s like going to a boxing match or going to the Kentucky Derby it’s just you have to be there when you’re there then you get it and you know hockey doesn’t train translate when you’re watching on on TV I always felt hockey translated better on radio because the play-by-play voice you know if you are you’re capturing everything and you can hear it and it’s so he’s got to provide everything to you and I always got more into it if I heard a hockey game on radio as opposed to when I watch it on TV watching it in person that’s completely different like you feel the game like it’s cold in there when when it’s you know they hit they go up again against the boards up against the glass it is and it’s so much faster than you think now TV is a way of slowing things down when you’re there in right in the moment it’s like wow it’s incredible what they do how they do it on you know you’re on skates hand eye coordination the physicality of it the toughness of it like you feel it when you’re there and I would rather be there like the NBA um you know maybe I’m spoiled because I’ve done that so many times but hockey Stanley Cup Final um that’s that’s something you can’t replicate I mean it is there and it is certainly something that you absorb yes Todd and not only is it fast-paced and it’s just constantly more exciting there’s so many breaks it seems with the NBA I don’t remember ever going to a hockey game where they got to constantly play music or everybody clap your hands I don’t think that happens in the NHL it’s like not necessary have to do that uh this uh this hour brought to you by the hottest rookies still he’s acting can’t believe you’re turning up like massive shots in the NBA and like immortality I mean you of all people I know I know what happened to you I don’t I’m an actor oh God I’m an actor oh wait DP that means you would have played with prime AEM Kobe and sha and Tim Duncan well I thought he metant now like Robert is a you know six former sixth man so I got their whole career is that what you’re saying okay I mean we could change make it more directly say Ed O’Neal or Robert Ory okay question yeah I just felt like like a sixth man in a sitcom act I don’t know I’m trying to okay all right okay work with me yeah I guess I’d I’d be Big Shot Bob you know those moments yeah I know that’s crazy it just shooting comes easy to me acting is a little tougher you need the challenge yes Seven Rings though yeah know that’s why we’re so shocked that you said I don’t know I don’t know that alone seven rings I know okay you could be Lawrence fish burn or Robert Ory wellow Matrix yeah I mean he’s been in a lot of Incredible movies he’s been in boys in the hood boys in the hood John Wick he’s been in every or a lot of really great mover yeah he’s been in a lot I don’t know Lawrence Fishburn or Robert Ory we haven’t done that poll in years we have not that’s since the yeah yes pa9 so the sitcom actor one is tough because it’s got to be a sitcom that has immortality if you tell me I’m Jim in the office that’s a great role would you rather be Michael from the office or Robert Ory Michael from the office it’s got immortality well so does Bob ory yeah he’s got seven rings why wouldn’t you just to go Al Bundy would you rather be Al Bundy or I think I would need the combination of Modern Family and married with Children yeah you get all of it yeah you get his whole career yeah dang I guess I take Big Shot Bob you guess yeah just twist your arm I I’m guessing Ed O’Neal made some pretty good coin from those shows in syndication Michael from the office or Tim Duncan that old one gosh that’s a toughy right I’m going to take Tim Duncan I don’t think you believe what you’re I don’t know if I do or not cuz you know what even now when I watch the office with Michael he’s like they’re you know so many charact how many characters are there like that you know Kramer for seidenfeld was one of those guys I mean there’s probably 15 of those it feels like where you go God how did they how did they create that you know they created that person and Michael’s one of those guys where you go I don’t know I don’t know how it started but if it’s so brilliant of Michael and how Michael was so clueless on what was going on around him
