hello everybody Chris Lee and Alfred esman of South Eastern 14 here to talk SEC baseball do a reaction we got a lot of stuff going on and I suddenly cannot get logged into squeeze play at the worst possible time how does this how does this happen I know I have it on right now don’t you worry oh what a nightmare it’s logging me it’s it’s it’s asking me for login credentials which are gave it earlier today but anyway um we do the best we can oh Lord okay well look we we got a lot to talk about we got two things settled we got several things up in the air um Tennessee is is Tennessee final I mean it’s it’s academic at this point right I mean it’s getting there they’re in the bottom right now the bottom of the night one1 count yeah that up 12 to three Virginia had has knocked off Mississippi State in a game that was a little more lopsided than I would have expected it to be they’ve Advanced we have got Georgia Georgia Tech and a great game in the balance Georgia wins that one and the Bulldogs win the regional we’ve got uh Kentucky last I checked up three nothing in a you win this and and you’re the regional champ there lose it you get another pass we’ve got let’s see left side of the bracket Tennessee’s Advanced Virginia’s advaned Tennessee will get the winner of East Carolina and Evans which I think ECU was either winning big and may have already won by now that will force a Monday night game three or game five I guess in in these Carolina’s case uh let’s see we’ve got Arkansas has been eliminated that’s a big topic yeah on the left side of the bracket so that’s the left side there were three SEC teams playing today uh two got eliminated Tennessee advances are are going to Advance as we speak all right Kentucky over on the right side in good shape South Carolina that’s going to be an interesting one uh some some talk of Mark Kingston being terminated which personally I kind of hope not just for Mark’s sake not that I know him well but like him um but that’s the business of things and and when you’ve got Ray Tanner and what he did still not too long in the rearview mirrror and he’s also their athletic director by the way that’s SP that’s been a tough one for people to come in and repeat so we got that to talk about we got whatever happens in Georgia Georgia Tech it was five all just a minute ago we’ve got Florida Staying Alive by bombing Nebraska today at good luck to them knocking off Oklahoma State but you never know got a win two there and you got A&M locked up with Louisiana as Texas has gotten meat speaking of coaching changes be interested to see if David Pierce is back next year uh that that could have some dominoes that affect things in the SEC at other places potentially so that that’s what we got we’ve got um yeah nine on on a comeback or and almost another one that hit him and it was just kind of bombs away for Tennessee doing what it does Tennessee is going to advance to play either East Carolina or Evansville next weekend take it away sir and hopefully when I when I speak again I’m in a better mood when I’m walking to play yes yes when you when you can watch baseball again For the Love of Pete but yeah you know with Tennessee um they had a weird kind of middle part of that game they found themselves down three to2 in the fifth and uh it was just bombs away from there I you know I was like kind of hoping Southern Miss would sort of keep keep up with it but it just seemed like whoever they threw out there was getting uh just shelled left and right I felt bad too they threw out Josh o out there he was a pitcher we talked about in their Bullpen and uh he you know he’s a freshman that part I didn’t know that he was a freshman and just in that kind of environment it’s very tough to do what you need to do to stay alive in the NCA tournament and with Tennessee getting the uh presumedly because they still are in the bottom of the ninth with two outs they just need one more out to win it uh with that 12 to3 win they they kind of cruise through this Regional and honestly I I’m getting to the point Chris where I might go out on a limb here and I don’t know how some people will feel about this I don’t know if there’s a team out there who could beat them twice right now or a group of teams out there that could beat them twice right now which is what you need to happen for them to be knocked out and wow Georgia made a big out there but moving on um yeah like I said I I I just think with Tennessee they’re the team to beat you know in all of college baseball and you could have said that heading into this tournament but at this point with with how they’re hitting you know across the board and this that game just went finals so 12 to three the final between Tennessee and Southern Miss Tennessee will move on to a Super Regional they’ll host a Super Regional and yeah I mean without they’re hitting top to bottom I I just think it’s very it’s going to be very hard for them to get knocked out going forward even that through the entire extent of the tournament uh just going through I guess I’ll just go through some players who hit really well today Dylan dryy by the way um you can you can either continue or injure filibuster I got back into ES play no let me let me rattle off I I didn’t want to leave you on the hook you’re running out fi just in case you’re good you’re good I was going to go over I don’t know the the four million players they have that hit over runs today um I mean take a b yes I mean you know you go down the list Here Blake Burke uh had a you know not necessarily a big day but a hit a couple walks as well um CL Cal Stark Homer twice and actually his second Homer broke Tennessee’s school record and they’re now uh I believe they’re they’re one back of 97 Bama on the Home Run team home run l so they they’re they’re really raking right now and you know I don’t know if they’ll catch 97 LS that’s like an impossible task at this point but that was the the 41 home run Brandon Larson year I think or was that 98 went Omaha that year and saw them wow wow yeah but I I mean they’re and it’s gonna be hard to catch them but I mean they’re gonna catch that Alabama team and they’re probably gon to end up second on the alltime list and it’s hard to even fathom them beating their own 22 team that they had a while back with the Jordan Beck Drew Gilbert in that Squad but and like I said Cal Stark Homer twice Dean Curley in this game kavar TI had the big three-run shot to sort of extend their way past a 3 to2 deficit um I think I said I said drying Homer he did as well kind of a overall though one thing I will say and I’ll give Southern Miss credit for and this was kind of more so toward the beginning of the game Qui a day for the top of Tennessee’s order uh like I said Blake Burke had a hit but Billy AMC and uh Christian Moore uh did not record any hits Billy am but they did have three combined walks and Moore did have an sacrifice RBI but um yeah across the board I mean Tennessee at this point with how they’re playing right now it’s going to be hard to Fathom some team or some group of teams coming in and beating them two times and I don’t know Chris if you have anything to talk about with them but that’s my that’s my two cents after watching them tonight and really this entire weekend well if you want to look ahead and it’s it’s premature because we don’t know a lot of the matchups but um I thought Wake Forest would be the team they probably didn’t want to play in a super that that got removed as an option yesterday when wake went 0 and2 in Greenville you have East Carolina if East Carolina can knock off Evensville tomorrow night I I’ll I’ll tell you why that could be a little tricky Trey ovich their their ace pitcher who’s maybe gonna be a a top 10 guy in the draft somewhere close to that okay who missed the conference tournament with a collapse Along came back and pitched really well so look is Tennessee a better team than East Carolina yes but let’s just play along for argument sake uh he’s going to be the best pitcher in that Regional next week Le let’s say just for the argument sake you you give East Carolina that game which I’m I’m not conceding by the way I’m just telling you how it could happen then you get in a spot where you gotta win two or two although I don’t know if they throw him one or two I mean it wouldn’t matter but you’d have to win the other two games is my my point uh and then now look Tennessee is going to run into team that just had to use a lot of pitching uh I don’t know if if the break off um you know we they’ll probably get them recharge and it may not matter but if you want your scenario that’s one to worry about uh to be honest uh that other segment of that bracket I presume oklah well Oklahoma yukon’s going to come out of one Florida State UCF out of another one Florida State’s got an ace in Jamie Arnold um I don’t know much about the other teams there uh Arkansas’s eliminated so that that eliminates a you know runner in a team that can just pitch him to death option they in Omaha I mean that’s that’s if they get there we’re just playing ahead uh now I tell you what Virginia is tricky they can really hit bombs almost on par with Tennessee uh the pitching I don’t think is probably quite what Tennessee is which is unusual for Virginia but that’s one to watch I think uh you’d probably rather Kansas State coming out or Southeast Missouri State I presume Kansas State’s going to hang on a win you’d probably rather see them than than Virginia but that those are the options there um West Virginia is going to take maybe take it as a three seed uh out in Arizona West Virginia’s got JJ weather hold who’s a top five player in college baseball guy that’s gonna be picked really high and then uh I’ll tell you another team what would be interesting here here’s the interesting if you get to Omaha for Tennessee if you put Tennessee Virginia and North Carolina all in that same little batch of teams on the left side of the bracket that that is gonna be just who can out Homer the other guy that’s a lot of offense yeah yeah um Florida state does typically hits home runs too I don’t know what they’re like as much this year but uh that that could be interesting a an all ACC um match up that’s that’s oh yeah that’s that’s uh that’s sec’s only opposite on that side now with Mississippi State and um and Arkansas getting beat right and then uh depending I guess on what LSU is doing let me check the score of that game that’s uh it was like four last checked yes I just had it up here too let me see and then yeah I mean yeah depending on what LSU does I I really think that’s going to come down too I I think we talked about it though that might come down to tomorrow because we’ll just have to wait and see by the way Georgia I’m locked in Chris to this George Georgia Tech game they’re going to extras right now yeah yeah um I I I think but going back to yeah going back to Tennessee there’s actually now that you say and we I kind of work my way through there are offenses that kind of that can kind of have the Firepower to at least stay with them it might come down to like you said getting out homered or just you know who had the best of you know the better pitching night as a whole but I you know I I think just with the way I I do I do think regardless that they’re the favorite I mean going forward I I just think obviously being the number one National seed and you know had not really struggling at all I guess the only time they struggled I think this entire weekend really was this little again that little I guess it was one one through five inning stretch they had and that was a lot of I’ll tell you what that was a lot of JB Middleton sou Miss starter who was really kind of just kept he gave up a lot of base runners but he kept the game in control uh three and a third had had four walks but you know he only gave up one ear and run out of that so I I don’t you know credit to him but again I just think they’re theit they’re the favorite going forward and obviously I think they’ll they’re just waiting on ECU and Evansville at this point keeping an eye on Georgia Georgia trying to lay down a bun here which is like a a check your eyes moment but it’s first and second with nobody out and they got it down oh and he should have let that go foul that’s going to be the ball game third baseman threw it away oh but I forgot George is the um the top team throw will have another shot first of all I don’t think the bump was gonna go foul but your shot to to get the runner there I’m not sure who was running but that that was going to be a tough play I might have just let that go let me see the replay also cat Okay LSU is final so them and North Carolina are gonna have a rematch tomorrow by by the way we’re jumping around a lot and and if people see this on replay we are doing this at about 8:30 Central as some games are ending uh we’re going to end up hitting everybody which means it’s probably gonna be a long live stream which I’m fine with that but just we’re kind of hitting some of the ones that are ending first and going on now uh for Tennessee another thing Nate Sneed who I I think is the most valuable pitcher on that staff uh look he could have been horrible tonight it wouldn’t matter the way they hit the ball but I’m I’m always gonna shout out a guy who comes in in a game that’s contested and just shuts it down which he’s done you know pretty much all year so um pitching change by the way go ahead right another thing too about uh Tennessee’s night pitching uh Sneed and secrist actually no earned runs tonight um yeah all three of Secret’s runs and all three so therefore all three of Southern misss runs were unearned so he Tennessee the Tennessee pitching was very very uh uh I’m trying to think of a word but just not allowing anybody to come across the plate whatsoever and that’s only going to help them because you know we there was at times this season when their pitching was a little on and off you know some guys who they thought would go deep into starts were more opens and you know they weren’t really expecting it but yeah uh yeah no earned runs tonight for secrist or Sneed and they kind of split this game up pretty even because secrist went four two thirds and then Sneed went four and a third and I that’s just exactly what they wanted so all right let’s see uh you said LSU has beaten North Carolina okay uh what was the final on that eight to four was the last score what I saw it was 8 to four ended 8 to four okay um stuff that stood out to me in that one ah of course I left them off my notes page but I I will pull up the box score um I’ll go ahead too uh something that they had to win one earlier in the day and and they’ve been hitting the ball just enough and then I think Gavin gidry gave them six about six really good Innings I’ve said I don’t think people really realize uh well if they’ve listen here I think LSU’s got more pitching to get through one of these I know what thata heard tonight you just never know what that guy I think everybody’s just assumed he’s not been good for a while but thatcher herd’s capable throwing a a gem every now and then uh and and he gave LSU five and two thirds of two earn run balls six strikeouts no walks uh didn’t hit anybody a wild pitch you do that in Chapel heel against that lineup you’ve done something so that’s another thing that Jay Johnson’s kind of got in his back pocket now Her Herd is a confidence guy right if it’s not going well you can forget it if it’s going well he can be as good as as jump or Holan who are dudes I mean look if you want a and and this may be ridiculous take it you know by this time tomorrow night LSU may be eliminated uh but if you want a super duper sleeper to win the whole thing look out for LSU if they can get through Chapel Hill because if if you give them Thatcher herd again it pitching like that then nobody I don’t know anybody in the country’s got three more talented starters than LSU no and we talked about it earlier with our recap from yesterday um I Jay Johnson just is throwing guys out there and I like what you said Chris at the beginning you know what when you were talking about them they seem to have the pitching and just kind of the formula to to win any game that they go out there and play with the amount of pitchers they threw out I mean again once again today five different pitchers um and then going down the list the bullpen too Beyond thater heard uh Justin lore uh Fidel Ula Kate Anderson and G gri all came in two combined earned runs between those four um a fair amount of walks but like once again the amount of runs they were giving up was telling me they were kind of controlling the game keeping it in their hands uh and then let’s see six St outs for herd so that means seven strikeouts for the the bullpen and it was good enough to you know keep North Carolina in checked a l a very dangerous lineup in checked and just knock him out I mean for example Vance Honeycut in tonight’s game 0 for five uh 0 for five he didn’t get walked struck out three times and left on base twice so he he was really just ineffective on offense tonight and yeah that was exactly what LSU needed heading into tomorrow yeah honey Cut’s their best player he’s probably I hadn’t checked the latest draft boards but he was getting first round draft Buzz before the season you know another guy he didn’t do much tonight but you mentioned his name in fact I don’t think he got an out but Justin lore who’s their reli reliever transfer from Xavier where he closed a year ago he’s kind of a you know like I think a side arish change speeds you know give you a different look kind of dude uh and he didn’t have a good year but he pitched a lot of big innings for Xavier in the postseason last year that that’s another guy that you just never know maybe you get down the line the postseason and it clicks but that’s that’s another one uh we got by the way in Georgia we got Colby Branch up again he’s the guy that hit the home run in the night to lead it off to tie the game and send this thing to extras so um yeah the interesting see Branch can deliver here again he’s got Runners second and third with one out now Georgia’s pitching can make it in Georgia the interesting thing about Georgia tonight I didn’t know Charlie Goldstein was available I just assumed he was done for the year uh last time I saw him pitch he was kind of holding that elbow which kept him out a lot of the year I just I I made an assumption that he was done I think we even mentioned that on a preview and I just wrote him off um now he didn’t throw much but he threw to a couple of batters tonight I think um for a team do have to have a lot of pitching and and but needs it that’s that’s a little something to keep an eye on I don’t think eventually georg’s got enough to get him to the end in Omaha um especially if they get out and play in that Park but you know you you’ve seen teams do stranger things like Old Miss a couple years ago um so that’s that’s one thing uh I I saw him come out in the game and I was like Wow right um where where did you come out of the blue yeah I didn’t I didn’t even know he was on the roster so right right no and he he didn’t do much I mean it was I I just looked seven pitches and he walked a guy and didn’t even pitch an didn’t record an out or anything but I I think just from George’s perspective regardless of even if they lose tonight let’s you know for the sake of our our topic and what we can talk about let’s hope they don’t but let’s say they lose tonight they they have another game tomorrow and with just seven pitches they can throw them out there again I mean I don’t he’s fresh you know as all get out so very good I think it’s very good for them because the pitching you know the pitching depth for them is just the one worry because we know just know what they could do on offense and how they can just tee the ball off but if they can get that pitching going and get him back that’ll be very big for them to make a deeper run than everyone thinks Colby Branch just struck out looked like out of the corner of my eye like a nasty slider U let’s see what this was I think so yeah um you know the other they’ve kind of gone back to Christian moracha for late inning High leverage and he’s given them something this Regional too which again you know you got to find it somewhere um I can’t remember who they did they start Zach Harris tonight I think they did they did yes okay um and I don’t think his line was great I think the bullpen kind of got them there if I remember this man it’s hard to watch nine games at once yeah I we I’ve been scanning like crazy it was nice last night when it was just only Texas and Texas A&M on granted that was at you know 12:30 in the morning but it was nice because I was just like all right I’m locked in on this I know what’s going on but I mean yeah looking at their Bullpen uh tonight I they no no earn runs beon Harris he’s been the only guy to give up runs tonight uh pat patty sack sorry Georgia people if I you know mispronounced that Hoskins yeah I got it Hoskins Marsh and then I guess Goldstein if you include his seven pitches no earned runs no strikeouts either I guess Patty sack at three but Goldstein Hoskins and Marsh don’t have any as of right now and I mean you knowy is just double to knock in two oh there we go he was all on that that’s going to be eight to five sorry sorry to cut you off but yeah and speaking of that patac is another guy that that hadn’t been using a lot lately he was a transfer I want to say for maybe George Mason uh Matthew Hoskins a kid I almost forgot was on the roster had been used much and Chandler Marsh I didn’t know he’d be on the 27 I think he pitched a lot last year I don’t know if there’s been an injury situation there but you know postseason is just about piecing together outs and um Wes Johnson has been able to that with some of these guys that didn’t really give them much in SEC play and see they just walk Conan yeah for the for the second time in a I’m I’ll tell you what I’m really interested to see where Cory Collins goes uh because he was he’s a maybe a fourthe guy but when you got an on base mark nearly 600 and I I get that a lot of those have been hit by pitches that are not going to happen to Pro Bowl that that tends to be a college thing where guys get hit by a ton of pitches because you know they wear wear body armor and stand an inch from the plate don’t get me started on that but um so I know some of it’s not going to translate but I think he’s been getting some run as a draft prospect not like a first rounder but I’ll be very interested to see where that one goes um yeah let’s see who else have we do we need to get to um give me a check in on well we’ll get to that later I want to I want to get to some of the teams that are still playing Kentucky last I checked Mason Moore was dealing which is really good news for them like if if they get puer has been pretty consistent but Neeman and Moore have just not been good lately and and look when when you’ve got the lineup they’ve got you don’t need to be great you just need to be okay but Indiana State can hit pretty well and let me look at what Moore did tonight he went six didn’t give up anything walked three struck out six Masa MO is not going to be a you know strike out 14 on in the game guy but Jackson Novi who’s been a little hit and miss uh came up gave them two-thirds of an inning and I guess Cameron O’Brien on now for them the transfer I think from uh maybe Campbell can’t remember but he’s been one of their probably two or three better relievers so Kentucky um if it can hold on five nothing I I think would be oh I mean nothing’s safe in college baseball anymore you’re GNA ask Arkansas about that but I I I think they’ve got to be feeling pretty good right now they got another game to play with if if this goes wrong but I think Mason Moore that was a guy like if youd said you know give me give me 10 guys I’m really watching this weekend um I either either Moore or or Neeman would have been on there I would have been like they need one of those dudes to step up and give them a start and they did yeah and even tonight I mean they Indiana State you know we T talk everyone’s talked about them all year at D1 baseball if anyone keeps up with that they they’ve had them as a host for most of the regular season so they’re no no slouch of a mid major and they have what four hits tonight and I mean that that pitching staff for Kentucky has been shutting them down you know in and out like lights lights out tonight and Kentucky really on offense early I just kind of got it going it was nothing explosive but a run in each of the first three and you know from there it was just kind of a scoreless middle half and then I guess this top of the seventh yeah this that top of the seventh they had just before this top of the eighth is you know was really good to with two runs so Kentucky just doing what they need to do to get their way through I I feel like you know I kind of harped on Tennessee how they cruise through their Regional Kentucky kind of did the same thing this weekend and it’s something they really needed you know especially with a team like Indiana State coming in who was supposed to host and you all that good stuff they just you know did what they needed to do and they’re G to host a Super Regional more than likely actually they definitely are going to host a Super Regional and I don’t know those opponents I guess would be Oregon State uh UC Irvin UC Irvin because tane and Nichols are both out and Irvin already has a loss checking the score there or that they’re tied in the top of the second that game just got started that that is the making for a really good super uh let’s say with or I’m mainly talking about about Oregon State here with Oregon State in Kentucky yeah yeah uh if if you just like baseball getting to watch Travis bazana is a is a treat he he he murdered one out to to right last night in a kind of an early spot with the game in the B hey here’s here’s the shock um Florida 1-1 with Oklahoma State oh wow the fourth Oklahoma no Oklahoma State’s got a little something brewing and got two guys on um and I can’t tell who’s up not that I know that lineup very well anyway but um let’s see Florida Florida’s thr Kate fiser has he gone the whole way um okay yeah that’s that’s yeah he has so far and now they get they’re sending somebody the pin Fisher’s been very erratic but hey hey Florida man they’ve gotten enough pitching to get to get through three games and and get to a fourth I don’t know that I had that on the list of things I thought I’d see no and talk about a talk about a back and forth Regional I guess thus far you know pending on what happens with this game I maybe I spoke too soon on that but great great game against Nebraska I just think an allaround team standpoint they got to win that first one and then kind of just were very quiet on offense in their last game and you know it’s not nothing crazy right now they only have three hits in a run but doing what they needed to do doing what they needed to do pitching which is just again I this is the millionth time I’ve said this since I’ve been on here but it’s been the question for them all season and especially with Kade Fischer and he’s out there three and a third right now five hits uh four strikeouts he’s walked twice but and you think it gets Oklahoma State that’d come back to bite you but it just really hasn’t so hanging in there and you know they they’ll get a rematch with Oklahoma State again if they hang on to win this um I’m trying to see how this affects the rest of the tournament Oklahoma State I guess the winner of this plays Clemson because Clemson just moved on to a super so yeah that’d be a tough that’s a tough opponent for both those teams but again Florida you know hanging on hanging in there and like I I I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again really it’s just the if they were going to make any kind of Cinderella Run part of it was their hitting has to stay the way or has to get to the its best point but also it’s just like you know the pitching has needed to get better and so far Kade Fisher is doing that I guess uh Oregon State and Irvine are playing through a downpour that’s interesting no fun that we got Clemson I think that’s the first time Clemson’s got to a super since 2011 is that that’s I think that’s correct and by the way uh Oklahoma State just busted this thing open against Florida a little bit oh there we have yeah one out Runners of the corners tight spot there busted opens a little strong but to took the lead with with more more stuff Brewing George is giving up a leadoff hit here who they got uh theyve got Chandler Marsh um because he’s still out there okay I think they’ve used about everybody else this oh yeah um I’m trying to see Marsh has gone how many pitches only 12 so I mean he’s kind of fresh still so yeah we’ll see I think they’re and that’s a two count right now at least I don’t know how far ahead matched up on you are with me Chris but uh trying to see what else yeah I’m right I’m right there with you right A&M we got A&M right now as well oh yeah thank thank you for bringing that up I knew I was forgetting something um speak last time I checked it was 1-1 and speaking of break it open uh 61 A&M right now top of the six God that game’s flown by I felt like that game just started not 30 minutes ago but I’m looking at there yeah Shane sadeo got the start in that one I’m gonna see how far they’ve let him go tonight uh because I think that could be very interesting by the way Texas got eliminated today there’s some talk that Texas could move on from David Pier um and in Kingston Kingston yeah vitello I don’t know it depends on who you’ve heard that may or may not be a possibility there but I mean I would think he’d be on a lot of for Texas for Texas I mean of course we you know they pierce hasn’t even let go yet and and may or may not but I’m just saying that’s that’s been in there a little bit today uh let’s how far is Shane sadeo gone oh he’s gone five he’s only thrown 71 pitches 55 for strikes hey look I’m telling you A&M was my national title pick before the tournament I didn’t actually pick an entire um Omaha I never never went through the bracket I just said screw it them and I’m gonna name them my champion because I’ve liked them all year I think they’ve got all the ingredients that translate kind of wherever they play but um the the thing for them was was Finding two more pitchers because they they’ve been getting garbage out of the two and three holes lately and they mov sh sadeo out of that um High leverage relief thing you know they got a couple of lefties he Ashen Beck being the other who pitched him to was the biggest arm they had last night so I think they just said hey we got him to cover a lot of Lefty Innings we’ll figure out the other rotation spot I think Tanner Jones has got the boot he pitched some middle middle relief this week but man if if they got him the way prager’s pitched he’s been so consistent all year now the weird thing for them is the bats just hadn’t shown up lately yeah like they did earlier uh but they’re showing a little bit tonight BR Montgomery’s hit a home run Kaden sorl is Home Run for the second straight night so um that that’s one interesting to watch I think A&M is gonna you know odds are pretty good they’re gonna gonna Advance yeah and you know I’m looking at their I just you know it’s the first time I turned this game on since like the first inning uh the box score going down the list they have what 10 hits through the I guess six inning through six Innings right now and uh Lavalette mcgomery and Appel all with two each uh Ted Burton Hayden shot Kaden cell Travis Chestnut all with a hit too I that’s top top to bottom uh seven out of the nine guys in the order have hits and when you get that kind of production just flat out from everybody it tends to go your way and I I like what you said Chris I mean they have a good shot of winning it all as well if they you know continue to hit like that and just get the pitching they get and I mean even tonight uh Seda with a great start with a great start and he’s still up there on the mound and you know with what we saw from Ashen Beck last night out of the out of the pen going almost he might have had 60 pitches he was very close to it in a relief outing it just seems like they’re they’re on one and they want it to kind of you know they want to spark something their Direction and like I said I mean they I I’m checking out that Santa Barbara uh game because it’s or right now it’s Oregon one nothing in the bottom of the fourth they got a really favorable match up for their super if they make it past this and you know if all holds true with this game they’re gonna obviously get there and host against those two teams uh I mean they have it in their favor just for flat out going to Omaha so I’d say it’s it’s looking pretty good for them right now and with the hitting they got tonight they could beat a lot of teams that way all right georg’s doing Georgia Bullpen things and making this interesting oh wow they’ve gone back to Leighton Finley yeah who I believe was their Friday starter now that’s interesting um let’s see where Tech is in the order here wonder if you have to face Drew burus potentially oh yeah burus is on Deck no wonder okay that’s when you pull out the big guns if people be is his he was the The Freshman who hit what 22 home runs coming into the tournament um one of the top top freshman in the country so Wes Johnson not messing around you see this every now and then that’s that’s the fun thing about college baseball is you will see some unorthodox stuff when your season is on the line and I’m a little why man I say I’m a little surprised I just got done saying a minute ago I don’t I don’t know how many options George’s got left right when they’re using names that like I don’t even you know you know the names if you follow college baseball but like Chandler March that’s that’s a name that you know I almost forgot was on the team I think he got used a little bit last week maybe in the Hoover but he was more of a last year guy you know than than a guy that was pitching much for them this year um yeah I you see some that now here’s here’s the other thing Wes Johnson may be thinking holy crap what do we do tomorrow if GE Tech beats us somehow pulls this out right I mean they got the time PL so and if they get that run on true burus represents the winning run you know at the plate so it’s that’s yeah that that would be a quite the pickle for Georgia I mean they kind of wantan to they’re kind of praying for Finley right now and really you know the this the interesting part about it I think is I like you said I don’t know if they have the distance to go that it’s really kind of testing Our concern for them you know just from the whole team perspective of do they have enough in general to go far and make a run uh this I think if you just take this small sample size of the regional let’s say if it goes to a final final game between them and Tech that that really kind of opens the book for you know how how you look at them I think going the rest of the way if they’re able to survive this Regional I think the good part is for them they’re going to if they if they win this this Regional in general they’re they’re going to to host against NC State which I think I don’t know if that would make it extremely hard I think if they had to go to Raleigh to play that super but the fact that they’re in Athens I think helps them a ton you know with depending on what result you get out of them just garbage can to pull out box scores that I had thrown away earlier in the weekend check on George’s pitching um right that’s that’s the time of year we are in and that’s what like people that are you to college baseball and there’s a lot of them I think the college baseball postseason in the regional format is just incredibly interesting because you see oh my goodness single got through the infield so Georgia Tech has now loaded the bases with burus up and nobody out goodness that is exactly what you did not want to see got a got a ground ball you’re looking for double play there that one just rolled right through the right side of the infield and now they got a righty against a lefty because Finley is a lefty and burus is a righty or burus may be a switch hitter for all I know but um 25 home runs for Drew burus I said 22 I guess he’s hit three this week either that or my math was off you know let’s see how many outs they have I guess they have no outs too in the inning no nobody out and and again Georgia Tech is the home team in this Finley threw 81 pitches on Friday against army they went to Brian zeldon and they went to moracho moro’s thrown at least one other time in this Regional so this this is a little bit of a um you know you you got another game to play with and like when I was thinking really going to bring Finley in this when you got another but I started think is like I don’t know how many because they threw Harris tonight and they threw oh gosh who was it yesterday um probably their best starting pitcher and the name is just completely escaping me at the moment so I’ll find that I’ll pull it up um gosh thing with Drew Bears is fascina I was gonna no I know I was gonna say I I would think about just walking in a run but they have no outs I mean that that’s probably a mistake if you do that maybe if he had like two outs or something and he had you know a little bit of food to play with but that’s wow I don’t they threw Jarvis Evans yesterday I think holy smokes that’s a big out year right there that was a curve ball that burus got right out in front of okay they I’m trying to think what they got left radkey threw yesterday today Max D young I I guess I don’t know if D young and brand paner are on the roster um because there’s only so many you can give them the problem with Georgia is Georgia’s got a really deep bench too on offense so a lot of teams might carry 13 or 14 pitchers into this thing Georgia I mean you got a I’m assuming that you know Dylan Carter Logan Jordan Sebastian Millo Trey King I don’t think you’re keeping those guys off the roster so I I don’t know how many of these guys are even on their 20 27 for the weekend right but um but but I think I think if you’re Georgia I mean that I’m guessing if if Wes Johnson made a decision uh between a hitter and a pitcher I’m guessing he went with the pitcher because you just got so many guys in that lineup as it is that are Dependable I’m sorry Leon Finley is a righty um my M it right on righty with burus and then uh look at that Oklahoma State right now too they have the bases loaded up two to one they could really really crack it right here if they were going to there are two outs so Florida can work their way out of it people listen later when it’s not live or gonna be so confused yeah and and if that’s you we we are reacting and in real time as you got some games really going down to the wire by the way uh Oklahoma’s just tied it with Connecticut in the third any is loaded in the six with a shot to break it open Chris did you know a lot about Connecticut at all coming into this like no I I was they’re there every year but um but I’d be lying I had I know their roster right no I was I was looking and I was kind of shocked you know I was just I guess depending on looking at both Oklahoma and then Duke who was in there I I did think’ be the team to go up two okay got a pop up it’s two down are they going to send the run or no they’re not there’s there’s two out and bases loaded so you no they did send a guy okay so winning this but I would I would like to seen an alternate universe just to see what buttons they would have pushed tomorrow because it felt like the minute they threw finle out there that was all in on tonight right no and it paid it off I mean goodness great for them I just checked too Chris the last time they won a regional 2008 last time they won one 2008 which was a while it makes me feel old that was a while ago at this point but yeah I mean huge huge huge stuff for Georgia because like you said I’ll just kind of repeat what you said there that they the pitching was kind of getting taxed and you know Leighton Finley doing his thing strikeout big strikeout on burus biggest out of year for Georgia biggest doubt probably Georgia’s had in quite some Seasons overall and I mean looking once again at the Bullpen they really did their job uh Zack Harris didn’t give them the greatest to work but like I like you know we all kept saying earlier georg’s Bullpen you know even as taxed as they were they did their thing and they shut down a Georgia Tech lineup that can hit for power so good on them and they’ll be playing NC State at home and on top of that the biggest thing I think out all this for Georgia is that they’re going to host this super which I think is just huge especially because like like I just said they haven’t been there since 2008 so that that’s really big for that team and who knows I mean this guy I I think they compared to NC State I think it’s a pretty pretty dang good super match up you know I I have to look and see at the other ones but it’s probably up there for how good it will be okay so Inc state is one I missed that yes all right so so we got that one set we’ve got Tennessee locked in Virginia Clemson NC State and Georgia have I missed anybody Kansas State won so we got Virginia and Kansas State for that super that’ll be who knows you never know with Kansas State I mean yeah there short upop Co pepper had a nice turn I didn’t realize he’s from Memphis I don’t know how he got to Kansas State from Memphis I didn’t either got a lot you got a lot of baseball schools within a you know a three-hour baseball throw of Memphis there’s not such thing as a three but you know what I mean three- hour drive of Memphis you got old miss you got Mississippi State you got Vandy you got a little further to the East Tennessee which I think is gotten some kids out of Memphis maybe um what happened there he’s writing SEC country in general I mean that’s kind of right Arkansas maybe um right oh yeah uh oh let’s see what do we got is this Shane sadeo yes sadeo is still out there for for A&M and apparently cruising although they’ve got a man on with one out Louisiana is just not an offensive-minded club though I I think this one is I mean look nothing is safe you know ask arkans saw about that last night um I’ll tell you what there’s a couple teams we hadn’t talked about Arkansas South Carolina got beat those are two big big stories for different reasons um you know this is a year where you just kind of had to have the offense and Arkansas didn’t have it and everybody thought the pitching would be good enough to get them you know at least through a regional including me but when they lost Brady tiger and and Kansas State just clustered some stuff together in the fifth inning or whatever that was off off of Hagen Smith last night I don’t remember which inning it was I mean they got they got a a bouncer that went through second that hit about three feet in front of the plate that scored a couple uh they they had a home run that just barely got over the fence I mean they only had what five hits scored six runs you know and then today I think they were just shell shocking at Simo Simo had a kid that um I think you might be able to throw a breaking ball harder than him from what I hear I was watching a few games but yeah you know when you get in those spots and and you get one of those junk Ballers and you’re pressing a little bit um yeah yeah they I mean I’m looking at them right now um I don’t know if this is the guy with the breaking ball you’re talking about Chris Colin Colin Wilma he uh shoved shoved for them six strikeouts four and two3 one hit and one earn run and I believe that was uh pton let me see was it pton Holt yeah I believe that was pton Holtz Homer and I mean that that’s that that was the only that was the only time you know he gave up any sort of runs but the win goes to Logan Kon who came out of the pen right after Wilman three strikeouts and two and two and a third uh three hits but once again I think the three the three strikeouts just put it in to that and I’m looking I want I’m interested in Arkansas’s hitting because I that’s just been the story all year and that was what people were kind of ring that’s the only thing they did this week they hit the ball pretty well until today I know it yeah I mean I’m looking and they they had guys you know at least record hits uh Payton hold obviously I just said he had the Home Run uh Parker ran came in I guess he pinched hit and he had a two RBI knock there late um certain fact might might have with two outs one or two it was one or two outs I think but I mean you see that happen in regionals sometimes is as a team that is just a you know a lot I me because Arkansas was number one for what first three months a good bit of it I don’t remember I mean they were they were in that spot for a long long time well and even for us you know we had them how long in our power rankings as number one like at least a month I mean I think it was a while granted it might it was probably it was a lot of it was at the beginning of the year a non-conference play that’s not really that how much that plays into a factor now at this point in the season not a whole lot but still I mean we had them up there strictly and that a lot of that was strictly off their pitching and it I I’m baffled you know looking at that result because that was a team and I mean you want to talk about offense the first night they played them they they put up 17 17 runs and it just seemed like they were going to cruise with this draw they got they’re in to cruise right through this and you know they’d be hosting a super and Bon Walker all this good stuff and man how that coin flipped over quick you see a team sometimes that gets Shell Shocked in one of these when there’s so much pressure and I think it seems to happen almost more playing at home and you know I again you know you you you throw that box score together they out hit them 13 to5 last night left 13 guys on base Kansas left two on you you play that game over again 95 times out of a 100 that that goes Arkansas’s way it didn’t right you throw in the pressure you throw in the big atmosphere I mean you saw them and it was a little different a years ago back in 2022 when they had Uh Kevin cops that was that was a different situation because they just rode cops and rode him and rode him till he ran out of gas but you will see a team A lot of times with a big fan base with with big expectations that you get one of those games where nothing goes your way and you didn’t see it coming and if you don’t show up the next day loose and ready to play that can happen to you especially like against a junk baller where you’re just you know out in front of stuff and it throws your timing off and I I just think that’s that’s not the first time I’ve seen something happen to a team like that that spot right now and um speaking of their pitching today I guess I’ll talk about that a little Gage wood came out there started the game pretty good he gave up a run in the first but you know one would think Arkansas would be able to bounce back from a one- nothing deficit to Simo and that really never happened and then wood gave up four uh I say four runs total three runs in the fourth and that those came off of I mean just kind of singles that got through one’s on an error one’s on a fielder’s choice the others on a base hit and it’s just you know not necessarily power plays from cimo but just methodical plays and then uh man that that error uh I think it was it was Kendall digs who recorded the error and that that just kind of set set up SEO to build that lead up and Arkansas’s hitting just could not recover so brutal yeah especially for a team that definitely throughout most of the Season had National Title expectation at expectation or a national title look to it at least through a lot of this season and you know to come out short like that is is just flat out you know really really weird so the search goes on for Dave Van Horn to get that National Title all right something snuck up on us here and that’s Kentucky because Cameron O’Brien’s come out of the bullpen and just started mowing Indiana State hitters down kuy’s got two outs to a shutout a 5 nothing lead nobody on base so Kentucky is going to make a super for the second year in a row and then face Oregon State or somebody out west yeah yeah Oregon State or Irvine I assume between those two they’re gonna host yeah yeah and A&M has gone to Chris Cortez um best pull pin in the league and he’s one of their better guys he’s been around a bit I think this is at least his third year pitching at A&M and then Florida I guess Florida’s in another Jam here no outs Runners on first and second for Oklahoma State if if Florida by some miracle gets through still water that might be the story of the tournament so far oh my yeah especially I mean I just you know we said it before maybe getting eliminated yeah right no Michael Robertson had that catch for them and and they were I mean that ball dropped without him diving for it this game would have been broken wide open and honestly you know basing off of basing it off of yesterday’s game I don’t know if Florida you know would had the offense to come back let’s say on a basis clearing double A 5-1 deficit especially to Oklahoma State who can hit but here we are I mean they just got to work their way out of another jam and they’d be set they’d be still within Striking Distance and on the mount for them is Neely Brandon Neely currently you know assuming Kentucky gets through this here in a minute Kentucky got a little bit I think that that Western Michigan game being in that spot nearly belowing an eight-run lead um that that’s one of those things if you can survive it it makes you stronger um oh yeah two outs in Lexington so strike out for Kentucky I think that could pay dividends for Nick Mone I’ll tell you what I would love to see Kentucky and Omaha like what what kind of presence does that fan base have in Omaha if it gets there very yeah if it was we’d know if it’d be a final four we know that I’m yeah I’m gonna give you the ticket scalpers dream bracket for Omaha um go ahead Tennessee Florida State Virginia uh I’d go LSU oh LSU that’s right LSU I couldn’t read my bracket LSU for sure give me K just for fun right um I don’t know that anybody NC State maybe I don’t think George is going to travel no although that that fan base is more engaged and energized for baseball that I’ve seen in a while um right Oklahoma State probably yeah and then A&M but man the ticket for Omaha if you got that Holy Smokes they they I mean that’s so many the amount of people would just be incredible to that to that sort of that is uh what seven and pin we got Tennessee Kanas State Virginia Clemson Kentucky NC State Georgia right oh wait we had Clemson in didn’t we yes they are in that’s eight there we go and then how many SEC teams let me see Tennessee Kentucky Georgia three thus far so they’re the third to get in in uh assuming you know and again I’m assuming I’m gonna go ahead and assume just for the sake of Saving Time A&M would hold this lead just based on how they’ve looked and that sort of thing who knows with LSU tomorrow that’ll be something to watch I I’m going to be locked into that game but I post game in Hoover and he he was thrilled with how they played in Hoover and I would be too I mean they were one of four left in that tournament and they needed a run like that to get the seating they did and they just they came up they came up short today I mean I can’t really excuse them for how they played today they were not good on the base Pats uh they recorded five hits James Madison only had five hits too their pitching was fine but I mean I mean just getting hitting the ball the guys who had hits today Talan lroy Dylan Brewer Petri brindling had two uh Blake Jackson got walked twice outside of that Cole MSA oer Parker Nolan oer Kennedy Jones their left fielder who a good Hoover ofer will tippet who’s been electric this you know during this Regional was electric I guess during this Regional ofer yeah um left a lot at the plate to be desired especially you know when you kind of match the team you played for hitting and when you pitch the way they did and I feel bad for Dylan Dylan Esq you know did enough I think to get them the win he gave up the one ear and run but he gets credited with the loss there and wow uh James Madison I’m just looking at this just now uh Donovan Burke got the win for James Madison he had seven strikeouts in a six inning relief outing so I guess Casey Smith was an opener for them more so than a starter but yeah uh going back to South Carolina a lot left to be desired to play today and I I don’t I’m with you I I kind of I’m gonna be thinking about what they do with Kingston for a few days because that’s just I think that job for just the next decade or two is just going to be so hard to kind of make ends meet just based off of who your ad is and you know what happened there I guess a little over 10 years ago now at this point all right I’m gonna play stump Alfred here um how many baseball coaches has South Carolina had since the end of the 1976 season by the way who for& M oh somebody so that that should put a M comfortably out ahead holy cow this Grand Canyon third baseman’s the biggest kid I’ve ever seen on a baseball field anyway carry on uh since the end of 1976 um wow South Carolina since 76 how many coaches four four I knew it was going to be not a lot since you were asking four so is it a guy one guy Ray Tanner one guy Kingston is that the order it went June Reigns 1977 to 1996 had a winning percentage of 667 this according to Wikipedia I’ll take their word for it Ray Tanner 16 years 97 through 22 had a 700 winning percentage and and the problem with Tanner well it wasn’t a Tanner problem it was an everybody else problem Tanner ended up that they won them they won it in 2010 won it in 2011 and came with a game of winning it in 2012 like nobody ever even thinks of going back to back to back and they were that close so Chad hook comes in he he goes 2196 654 winning percentage not bad uh they fired him and now Kingston is 216 and 153 that’s 585 I don’t think Mark Kingston’s done a bad job but I still think Tanner put up I mean you can’t the the way he left it you just can’t you can’t duplicate that no and like you said that that’s another good side note that you mentioned I mean he was a good game away from three peting you know against Arizona the year they won it and uh it is hard to duplicate and you know and I I guess I’ll say this for Kingston’s sake um let’s say Rumblings are true and he gets fired he he is a guy who will get scooped up by a program really quick and I I would think a good program at that I mean I mean he I I he should not be too worried you know for his own sake uh for South Carolina you know you’d love to have him stay I mean I I think by the end of this year in my opinion based on how they played in the SEC tournament needing a big run to kind of secure in quotes their seating and doing that and you know getting you know being I mean they they had some good games in this Regional too it wasn’t like they had a bad Regional and just got kicked out booted out of it as quickly as they possibly could um they they hung in there and they they had once again I’ll repeat it they had a bad game against James Madison today but I do think Kingston for what happened what he needed to do at the end of the year to get into the NCA tournament he did that and he just has to build upon it for next year now I think South Carolina can easily be based on how their baseball program is they can be quick with you know keeping the standard sharp and saying hey you know coach you need to get us a little further next year get us at least back again next year that I get you can make the seed a little hotter but I I just think you know from the P from for his sake if he were to get booted he’s gonna get scooped up by some team you know regardless of who it is really really quick who needs a coach yeah Chad Hook’s going to Charleston and and and done done fine there they should have been in the tournament this year I I felt Kingston’s problem is they just haven’t had that one big year their best SEC record was 16 and 13 I’m sorry they went 17 and 13 in 2018 his first year after he took over for Holbrook I again and this is just kind of how stuff goes sometimes I still think they were so good last year um middle of the season I watched them in person I thought that to me looks like a potential National Title caliber team right yeah yeah and and then their regulars just started dropping like flies I don’t even remember who got hurt but Florida just taking a lead 4-2 over Oklahoma State yeah three run shot sorry I got really close to my camera I had to see who it was I believe thaton yeah wow big time once again go go ahead sorry I was going to say Florida I mean they got out of going back to their pitching they got out of two jams these past two innings against Oklahoma State and here they are with the lead that’s that’s baseball and good on them I mean they need they obviously need this so but yeah they got I mean Ju Just if if history gives you a break okay I think last year if they stay healthy maybe they win an SEC title or an East or something I don’t remember who won with what record last year but you know they they were they were looking I I remember watching them thinking this may be the best team in the country and then the injuries hit and they kind of at the end of the year got it back a little bit together and then they won a regional for the first time under Kingson and then they got sent to Florida which was an awful draw um right you know because you you ran under the national run or upper team that was you know one game from winning the whole thing against LSU and I don’t know you know maybe maybe you get seated a little differently maybe you stay healthy you know may maybe they pull off 20 and 10 and it feels different because that’s hard to do you get stuck in a different spot you go to Omaha maybe the vibe around Mark Kingston is is different and look I don’t even know if he’s getting let go or not that’s been the the vibe out there tonight so we’re not reporting anything we don’t know anything but we’re just kind of going off that speculation how about this Chris to create more spitball ideas you just said earlier uh vitello Texas is a possibility if David Pierce is let go how about Mark Kingston and burn orange if that were to happen that way yeah they’ll they’ll they’ll go bigger and by the way I’m not reporting anything on Vella I’m just saying that that has been out there under the radar a little bit for a couple of weeks right me as well this is just us you know just and that that’s the coaching that’s what happens I’m not saying he’s going I’m not saying that’s who Texas would hire I’m just saying this that’s the coaching Carousel you know coaches use those things for leverage and this and that and Tony vitell would be stupid frankly not to at least think about it if they’re if they’re interested so right and and and look that that look Tennessee fans that’s just going to be life when you’re in that Stratosphere everybody’s going to be coming from your coach every year yeah I mean and looking at I mean at Tennessee baseball uh with all respect to the program and everyone involved prior to Tony’s era there yeah he he made baseball at that school what it is now I mean you you go back I’m trying to I’m trying to think of a year because I’m not uh let’s say 20 2010s like the like about 10 years ago and a little bit before that that it is not anywhere near the level it is now with him I mean he he has made baseball there not the Talk of the Town but added to the Talk of the Town B the vibe around baseball and Knoxville is very much alive I never in a million years would have thought that F base got into baseball the way it did and that’s all him I mean and and look let’s let’s rewind a little bit Rod Del Monaco went to Omaha a few times had some good teams put guys in the pros Chris Burke lot of lot of a lot of dudes that that you know saw a little time in the majors and they brought in Dave sran everybody thought s was a great hire been a pitching coach there before I thought it was a good hire SW woned Irvine and Fullerton really good baseball coach good human being I know I know Dave a little bit just didn’t didn’t work I now I think their commitment is a lot greater than it was when when Dave sran was there um but again that that that goes back to what Tony vitel has made it so yes yeah yeah if Pierce gets fired at Texas I guarantee you that name is to get thrown out there where that where that’s legitimate I don’t know but when that’s in the water a little bit in Hoover um you know and I’m getting a text or two bringing it up here and there you that that’s just I’m just saying that’s if what whether there’s something to it or not if that job opens that is coming it is it three hours to the West it’s been that that back for Vander every year every time there’s a vacancy Tim comes up and you know what did he he considered most of them and used them for raise and used them for facilities leverage and then just rolled it over the next year that’s that is life in the coaching profession yes and I mean he is and if you’re Texas and you’re looking at I guess you know Texas is going to be the a topic on uh the shows we have you know in the future just because they’re joining the SEC but if you’re if you’re looking for a baseball coach if you’re them Tony vitel is one of if not the name to look at to start your search and I think you know just because again you know past five years however long he’s been a coach I don’t I don’t know that for sure it’s right around there he he has completely flipped uh baseball in Knoxville on its head and he has them in a direction of success and if he were to stay there for a few more years after the fact you know we again we’re just spitballing but if he’s gonna stay there he he’s gonna get so sort of the Van Horn circle of you know he’s going to be due for a national title at some certain point based on the trajectory he has them going and you know even this year looking at what they’re doing and you know we talked about them at the beginning but they they they just hit so many they just hit Homer after Homer after Homer after Homer and it just overwhelmed teams with that and you know it’s been smooth sailing thus far so maybe it’s even this year we’ll just have to wait and see but he certainly has just been the the Catalyst that has just shifted this team into a winning Direction and I think one of the hottest if not the hottest program in all of college baseball yeah I mean they you know the last you’d have to do the postco records but I I would bet that they are leading the country and winning percentage in that time and and people forget 2020 it felt like they were maybe poised to go somewhere and then that season got cancelled so we’ll just we’ll never know right at that point nobody took it seriously because Tennessee had gotten off to you know 16 And1 starts or what it was een times and then just kind of wet the bed when it got to the league when they weren’t that good so nobody really took it seriously at the time but you know with the benef fit of hindsight you know we we might view that one a little differently right and no and looking at I’ll just entertain your little comment there Chris looking at their postco records uh 2021 50 and 18 20 and 10 in the SEC they won the SEC East uh made it to Omaha that year next year 2022 everyone knows that team 57- n 25 and5 regular season tournament champions just like this year uh they got bounced in that Regional of course by Notre Dame but that’s another 50 plus win season uh 20123 that year I I think you know just being around that team a little bit that season kind of a weird year I it did not have the same feel that that 22 team did obviously not a lot of teams in college baseball history had that feel but even still 44 wins 40 plus wins season what hurt them was their SEC record they were right around 500 at 16 and 14 got bounced really early in Hoover that year by A&M three to nothing in that first round game and but once again they were able to pull out a World Series appearance so he he’s he’s just been incredible with what he’s been able to do really been that postco time and I’m trying to do the math here quickly 161 wins not including this season those three seasons after covid so I mean he’s been he’s done really well for himself that’s impossible to do yeah um let’s see Florida state has snuck in we were oh they are in they were yeah yep well what ESPN just put up on its graphic so I’m just gonna go with that right no they were they fell behind UCF early they kind of picked it up and carried away with it though beyond that but I’m looking at Florida once again just that’s been the game got something going again my goodness yeah they wow they’re doing really good I guess Oklahoma state scored a run again too and that really just didn’t phase them who did Florida bunt with there I don’t know why you lay one down in that spot oh that’s Dale Thomas okay that makes a little more sense yeah the 28 hitting Dale Thomas um yeah A&M still cruising along Lou’s got a man on First with one out but I mean just eight outs to go in a six-run lead and I think they have Brad rudus up who’s been pretty pretty tough customer for the Aggies if they go away from Cortez here right no they’re handling it pretty well I um going back to Florida actually just because you know we had games earlier too Chris and we haven’t really talked about them as much but I’ll give the first Florida game some love there 17 to 11 over Nebraska who they beat the first night I believe it was 5 to three something like that um I harped on them I guess they must have heard me on our on our first recap this morning because I was like you know the offense was awful and it was two hits no runs yeah not gonna get it done uh not the case that that next game uh 17-1 the pitching wasn’t great but it didn’t need to be uh looking at looking at the box score of their hitting uh Jack kagon two hits four RBIs going to I’m just going to go right straight down Ashton Wilson who played right field for them a hit with an RBI Co Colby Shelton three three hits four at bats four RB for Him Luke Heyman they catcher two hits two RBI Tyler shellnut with a hit in an RBI Dale Thomas three hits two RB Michael Robertson two hits in an RBI they uh they laid the wood down that game 16 hits total five RB they left and they left six on base too on top of that so I mean they they must have heard me so shout Florida shout out go ahead sorry I was I was just gonna say shout out Florida for you know you know really picking I mean just picking it up you know after that game yesterday well in there playing without Ty Evans no and of course Ashton Wilson has been the beneficiary of that he’s had a big Regional um right but get two hits tonight I think he had four yes yesterday so that that’s one of those that didn’t hurt him as much as you would have thought but Evans was their best hitter behind KAG leó so by the way I having little chuckle watching um Oregon State fans losing their mind when they called a weather delay I think that cost Oregon State probably will cost him at starting pitcher uh but the umpires were having a little chuckle as they walk out to the that’s that’s baseball with an exclamation point at the end yeah uh West Virginia has just broken the game open against Grand Canyon um I really think right you’re with me on this too uh A&M’s gonna I think oh is Florida G get another run here yeah 52 Gators I think that was Pitch yeah I was about to say wild pitch there and oh and then a b scoring position hit here could really I don’t know four 4- run cushion against that lineup with their Bullpen is is nothing close to a guarantee but no yeah they’re doing what they need to do though I mean they need to build this lead up you know high and fast you know a couple more things to talk about um LSU North Carolina tomorrow night we’ll have to reset for that one that that’s going to be fascinating I I I don’t I don’t even begin to know what pitching those teams have got but and here’s the other one we we have not I think we’ve talked about everybody to some degree but these guys and that’s Mississippi State I really thought Mississippi state had a good shot to go in Virginia and win that thing yeah yeah man I mean they yeah they they had and it’s again I this was the the thing um last night I guess yeah last night with it uh they they matched Virginia’s hitting again uh I guess 10 to nine Virginia had one more but on certain days that’d be enough to get it done but beyond that first ending they had when they had a two to one lead they just could not get anyone to score and uh that a lot of that’s contributed to uh Virginia’s pitching and actually it is Jay wolfolk had a great start for them he went eight Innings gave him a lot of hits but I I guess the runs just were never going to come after that first inning and they didn’t uh seven strikeouts over that time 200 ear runs like I said one only one walk that was probably very very huge did not hit any batters um and Mississippi State went Pico con today who you know had kind of I think he’s been hurt a lot of this season if I’m not mistaken and they just you know haven’t had him that much but even he delivered a pretty good game I mean two ear two earn runs eight strikeouts and seven Innings of work uh and I guess it was just this Bullpen uh Tyler Davis kind of broke down there with six runs in the ninth and they they just ran away with it that was just kind of kind of uh daunting you know a daunting thing that happened there and they just got they just kept pouring on and pouring on and pouring on and dang I mean Mississippi State I I can imagine they’d want to run this Regional just back for the sake of those two games against Virginia they had and that’s really it I mean I I don’t know I didn’t hear that press or anything but I have a couple questions what about the way they handled their pitching Nate Dom I thought was going to be available for this Regional I don’t think he ever threw a pitch no maybe that was a we think we can get through today with pico we got to get one more right we’ll get him another day rest I don’t know what the plan was there and um Brooks auger I’m trying to see if augur threw it all he didn’t start at all no and he just shoved in Hoover last week right no and they had um after they took con out of the game they put Gavin black in who I’ve Loved this year in relief for them and I mean he went an inning in a third with three strikeouts and then that’s when Tyler Davis came in I wonder if they let me look at Black’s pitch count because 15 I mean I really think they could have left black in there longer maybe well pretty good and he and he kind of you know gagged it up today which and and sometimes it just happens right I just don’t know I don’t there’s any Mississippi State people in the chat I I did not get a chance you know when you got nine games going on at once you don’t catch everything and that one got out of hand so I just kind of quit paying attention late but I I’m I’m very interested um let’s see what they did Friday they threw Stephen I believe yeah and he went almost the whole way and I think I can’t Shuli or somebody came in and finished that one up so that one’s not a not really a factor yesterday they went saja and you know sometimes it feels like to me like they they kind of run him up against it sometimes and I get it because when you’re that dominant with that fast ball and that slider you’re going 98 99 and the swings and misses are plenty and there have been with that kid I mean that that kid’s going to be a first rounder now yeah yeah I I guess I guess I can’t blame lonus for thinking that hey look um you know when we’re you know when dangelo is throwing like that he had 85% is better than most anybody but AER started yesterday against uh St John’s and won that one so so forget that I guess sadome is the only guy somehow I just totally missed that um lot lot going on that was the second St John’s game so that that’s right yesterday was the I’m sorry that’s right that that was the this morning game that that okay St John’s yes that yeah State got up State got up so fast and that one I and I’d been gone when that started I quit paying attention but anyway right that’s under there yeah and uh I mean I I’ll give him a lot of credit I I’ll give him you know a little bit of credit here I mean Dakota Jordan who had a rough go at it during Hoover he had a Homer today as well it’s at least a high not to end on his season and stuff but uh I I thought you know the the pure reason I thought they were maybe able to come out of Charlottesville with this was I thought they’d be mad about not hosting you know because that we that was a lot that was a big story heading into the selection show and I thought they’d be really really and the minute it came out I was like dang Miss State’s going to you know be really really really mad about that and you know they might be able to make a run out of it and you know there there were there were plenty of games this Regional they did I I think it was just really if they had their chance to run these Virginia games back and do it again one more time they do it in a heartbeat because it just yeah didn’t it they did everything when you look at a box score to win the game it’s just certain moments and certain uh scenarios they were put in that they just fell on the short end of the stick and that just hurts and it’s twice too that’s that’s the crazy part about it to me is it happened twice you know with it with the game the other day I guess tonight with Tyler Davis and his showing and then you know just getting a fair amount of hits and just plating no runs in any any inning beyond the first so tough go at it for State um they it it’s that’s just a team I really feel for right now I do too for two reasons uh one of them in a pet peeve of mine I I don’t think they get the seating right I thought Virginia probably deserved better than a than not that it mattered because they don’t use an scurve anyway I wish they would I mean use an S curve with a little bit of leeway um like if you got a couple of West Coast teams matched up and you know you’re one of them’s a 16 and and you’re looking at the top two seat and the and the west coast is a you know if you put you in other words if you have to cheat by a line or two to match teams up geographically I got no problem with that right and they used to do it totally geographically so you could be the theoretically the you know the best one and get the best two which is screwed up yeah but they they’ve never really gotten the tournament right they still got a they still got some improvements to do uh everybody talked about how screwed up the some of the elections were and some of the snubs I’m not going to rehash all that but here’s what I’m what I’m getting at I wish they would scurve this and I feel like if they did Virginia was a little undated to begin with and state should have never been sent there um to begin with I mean I think a more fair although I’m sure the fans would have loved I mean I would have sent him to Oregon State or somebody lower in the packing order but but not not there right yeah Arizon that would have been a lot more fair I mean and then they then they that would have been a grudge match because they thought they should have had Arizona spot in the hosting pecking order and I would agree with them but that’s not went depending on your curve and the RPI at another spot Greenville even maybe with ECU if they want that’s another one yeah right I mean instead of wake and then wake four somewhere else and even not nothing against wake wake I think you know speaking on with twos they deserved I a lower end one you know if I put it in the weird wording like that but that was the spot I felt they could have gone as well as that I guess I’m looking Louisiana new pitcher yeah A&M has this about wrapped up and I tell you what they uh they had I guess if you want to call it a scare against Texas last night but yeah I I think more so it was yeah more so was more of a momentum kind of thing that they kept going and into tonight they’re they’re going to head into a super you know again seeing that they hold this one out which I think they will they’re gonna host a super and that they’re going to be rolling right along with the other two top National seeds Kentucky and Tennessee the other thing I was going to say about state is is Chris Alona just have to be sitting there going man if I can ever get my pitching going at the same time my hitting’s going actually his pitching’s been going for a while it’s just it’s hitting like you know the to Jordan I mean you and I had a better chance of getting hits in Hoover than Jordan and right Hunter Hines had for some reason and then and then Jordan hits that walk-off home run the other night and just explodes the next two games right and H Hunter H had that yeah hin had that tank shot in a game as well so it’s just it’s it’s so weird like it just seems like they get some hitters going but their pitching’s not and the rest of their hitting’s not the rest of their hitting is their pitching’s good Jordan and Hines aren’t and then it’s just like certain gears are working while one gear is stuck and the other gear on the other side’s working too yeah not to cut you off but I’m with you it’s the weirdest it’s the weirdest onfield Dynamic I think I’ve seen in my my little short stent of watching college baseball it’s extremely weird and they they should be I mean that they you know again I I just keep repeating it but if they could play these two not even the whole region these two Virginia games again they would do it in a heartbeat because I think the outcomes would be very different with they had the same box score and they just did it over again yeah I I picked him to win that Regional that was a little bit of a a homer pick a little bit of a maybe a not a homer pick just a you know it’s boring to pick all the one seeds and it never happen so I’m like that was that was a chance I was going to take right but I’m looking back the last poor pitching performance they had I think until this tournament was May 12th against Arkansas since then one two three four five six s eight I’m gonna I’m gonna count losing six to five Tennessee and and Hoover and okay because we know what Tennessee can do that nine St John’s won that 52 really until they lost to Virginia well no that was five to four they they thrown 12 good games in a row right no yeah and then and then they get beat nine to2 I mean finally you’re if you’re lonis you’re thinking finally we we got my guys going a little bit we got Dakota Jordan out of his Funk Hunter Hines can come around until then we got mwn and heack and all those guys that they’ve got and then and then and then the and and look it’s Virginia Virginia it can really hit it’s playing in an extreme hitters park and sometimes that just happens but if they I really do think if you played the whole thing over again Mississippi State comes out the champion if you could play the tournament a 100 times even with that draw going to Virginia I think Mississippi State wins it wins the whole thing in Omaha a time or two I think that team was that good I really do I do too it it is like it’ll it might be a big what if because even even still you know you don’t have your lineup going but uh Pico con you know for being hurt a lot of the season and whatever is doing what he needed to do in a start through seven Innings giving up only two ear runs and eight strikeouts then you have Gavin black who comes in is you know shoving left and right and you put in Tyler Davis who you you said and you told me has been great this year in relief as well it just the entire table gets flipped on them and it’s just the weirdest thing and you know it just was and really I’m looking at the that spurt they had Virginia in the ninth and it was just uh singles fielders choices uh wild pitch wild pitches were brutal that that was really what kind of did them in a little bit uh and those those actually went to Carson Le lean who finished the game out with the two-thirds to end it to end it for Mississippi State or to end that inning but those in the end you know kind of hurt them and that was something we didn’t mention either I guess for the night uh the Bulldogs did have three errors but you know once again just talking about it yes yeah yeah yeah very much so and uh but just looking at it from the whole perspective of you know what could have been Mississippi State easily could have made a deep Deep Run uh into at least Omaha at the very least you know but you know like you said the sky was the limit for that team I think after what we saw from Hoover yeah I’m looking up Tyler Davis I’m not sure if he’d given up a home run all year uh let’s see how that finished out uh gave up one against Tennessee um today he didn’t give up a home run but gave up six runs in an inning right yeah no not not even an inning he did not get an out and that’s that’s your season yeah yeah I mean the outs were Gavin black and and Carson lean who came in after after Davis who came in after black fact he had given up holy smokes okay he gave up two runs against Florida on March the 29th I mean and I mean that the appearances since then I’m going to count these quickly what 18 appearances since then he’d given up runs in one of them wow wow and couldn’t get on out today yeah that’s I knew he’d been good I just needed to look it up I didn’t realize he’d been that good right yeah that’s that’s incredible so that that is very man that that’s a tough break for Mississippi State again I don’t know if we’ve had any I don’t think we’ve had anyone comment on them in our chat but man Chris Stephen Ray I hope he’s he’s doing all right he was talking up I I remember when I was with him in Hoover we talk he was talking up uh him all day he he he was talking up uh well one he was talking up a host for uh dudy Noble and when that happened I was like oh God Stephen Ray I bet he’s kicking himself about this even after after tonight even that’s got to be a double doink there but yeah tough break man we got and and that’s that’s why you and see here’s the lesson here right one of these teams that we’re talking about we’re in love with somebody’s going to get one of these and we’re going to go you know that team was good enough to win it all could be could be A&M could be Tennessee could be you know could I mean and but but that’s just what happens you’re you’re great all and look as a Braves fan God knows I’ve run into that I don’t even know how many times oh you know the one time we win a stinking World Series is the year that we you know replaced our Outfield out the desperation because they had you know three guys out there starting that aren’t even a major league ball they they they flipped the switch at the trade deadline it all went right you know and then you know they they they go back with the loaded team the next couple years and and can’t even get out of the first round of the playoffs but that’s just that’s how this goes and I think the two teams that really just got snake bitten this weekend were were Arkansas and Mississippi State for different reasons yeah and here’s here’s the thing for Arkansas I didn’t think that was a hard Regional I thought that was one of the better draws they got I thought after last year like man the NCA stuck it to them last year with their draw yeah um I I didn’t like it at the time I said it it bit them I thought they were good enough to get through it they didn’t this year I thought okay they could do this Kansas State Louisiana Tech Simo no no world beaters in there and then it just no what one one bad inning when nothing went right for them last night against their Ace and that’s it yeah yeah and you know really I mean and for me with you know going back to arkans saw you once once latch got booted out because latch was the team where I was like oh they got some you said it too you were like they had some hitters up and down they might be a little bit of a problem then they got bounced early didn’t even play Arkansas at all this weekend I don’t think and no actually in fact they didn’t and no so we both thought would give him the most problem right yeah yeah yeah and you know Arkansas got you know bad end of the stick kind of game against Kansas State of course and then they have Simo again who they put up who they put 17 runs up on the first game the second time to keep them from getting knocked out of their own Regional and I’m like fine you know they’ll be fine whatever and see it just weird weird stories today with these teams getting knocked out uh those two in particular just because it was like a lot of whole lot of if they did it again it probably would not be the same scenario but you have limited amount of time and a limited amount of games in the NCA tournament and and speaking of that you got Brandon Neely who was hit and miss and more Miss than hit is just dealing in Still Water for Florida yeah he’s still on the wow he’s still on the mound six strikeouts in three Innings that’s incredible you know it was it was a low probability thing but I always said not that their arms aren’t talented they’re just young right they were probably I mean they if it wasn’t them I don’t even know who would even be close in terms of percentage of your Innings thrown by freshman in the league no yeah I mean we you take that roster on paper you know pitching included the entire staff included lineup included and you’re like man this team should be you know winning the SEC and going to Omaha at the very minimum you know usually and just did not look like it at all this year and that that was mainly just because their Bullpen could never get it together and it just never happened and what pretty good time to do it I’d say right about now if it keeps going this way and what’s uh what’s ne’s pitch count at let me see I think he’s in the 60s let me see that’s right up there 53 no he’s in the 50s yeah yeah 53 so he’s he’s getting up there but I mean roll with it now here’s the problem I don’t know what they got left after this yeah have they thrown Liam Peterson feel like we saw him yesterday I did too if not then this morning maybe against Nebraska even yeah know the weird o solivan is not a patient guy with his dudes I mean no you have a you have a bad at bad or two that’s it he’s he’s gonna have to to probably play his hand a little differently in this thing yes uh Peterson went he went against Nebraska the first time in that five to2 win and he actually he he got credited with the win he had a pretty good start all things being that said uh two earn runs seven strikeouts five in a third let’s see Oklahoma State the first time that was Brian Holliday when he cooked that was Jack he Leon uh they sent out Slater Clemente uh satin and Smith and then Menendez yet um let me see not tonight and they didn’t do it in this shootout they had against Nebraska this morning that was they had fiser Jameson out there Kate fiser was out there Kate fiser pitched tonight also and then Ryan Slater Blake Pernell went out there uh he only went out there for a third so they could we could see him back out there again yeah Pernell pernell’s not a guy that I don’t think they’re going to want to want to go to for for big situations it just hasn’t worked out the last couple years he used to be their closer right no and we’re we’re talking as if they’re comfortable a three-run lead for Oklahoma State’s not that much I mean gosh NE Ney threw 37 pitches um on Friday oh really let me see so I don’t know how much longer you can go with it I’m just not sure they got I went right over his name yeah they’ve got they got a lot to I mean they may get through this one but getting through two against Oklahoma State may be tough yeah we said that was that was just such a big story too I think heading into this tournament was whether or not for everybody I remember you know being with some D1 guys and they were talking about you know does Florida have it in them to make some kind of a run if they were to get in cuz even I mean they they didn’t do anything in Hoover they got bounced in one game by Vandy but you you you you thought they that might have affected their seating and it didn’t I mean they got in as a three granted to a pretty tough uh Regional host I mean I think Oklahoma State I don’t know if you’re with me on this Chris they might be a tad UND seated they’re right there but I mean they won the Big 12 tournament so that they’re a very tough team right now and obviously Florida got kind of host on that but rightfully so with how their season went and they’re I mean doing all they can there’s another one NE sit here touching 95 94 95 just got out of the seventh notd in his head feeling good he’s feeling very good about now feel feeling very very good right now little uh little stress in Oklahoma State Dugout it looks like that team looks like it’s a little tight very very un uncharacteristic for them tonight um yeah I guess the hit total is not awful but I mean I’d imagine six hits in seven Innings I’d imagine usually they get more than a hit in inning pretty often that is that is your that is your typical this team’s got nothing to lose Florida was just right I’m not going to say Florida went and happy to be there always play to win but Florida was just like just getting there because remember they had to win two out of three against LSU or no Georgia excuse me which like yeah everybody had kind of written that one off uh Chris cor games were one run games or shutouts but when it was all sudden and done so they had the the pitching that year too that that’s an interesting team when you look at it that’s hard to pitch like that do uh that married adults can’t um your hat collection oh my goodness little disappointed we’ve seen this one before I know this is tonight this is a this is a recency bias just because uh Val is the PGA Championship course they played that and I went up there for a practice round so this one’s like kind of fresh and needs to be worn in so to speak so I’ve been having that one on but I have I mean don’t we have a lot of lot more stuff to to cover we’re gonna have some Super Regional stuff and they they’ll all come out we should should we start it now the counter counter the Hat counter that I got so we got the Nats this and then Valhalla Golf Club we’ll do that so that’s two how many major league hats how many ma different major league teams can you represent I’m trying to think so rayns my my family have already been told Braves game how nice of them I think I think they’re playing the tip yeah well we’ll take out a second mortgage to go down there but that’s how it goes might have of in a Nick Sabin Jay Wright frustrated on how the the game has gone the directions of a lot of things but I this stuff I’m hearing today I think he’s he’s coming back so uh let’s see go ahead I was gonna say uh post game I’m trying to think no one really brought it up it was kind of quick and brief because I’d imagine him and his team were not in the kind of mood to sit there and do an opening statement and then qu a lot of questions for a while but uh yeah he he kind of he it seemed like he was talking about without getting too much into detail what he would do this off season so it see all from what I from the outside what I could tell with him how he was answering questions it seemed like all arrows were pointing to he’d be back for at least however much longer he’ll he’ll he’d be back for the 2025 season when that rolls around yeah trying to think a coaching Carousel stuff if it happens um Rob Walton wouldn’t think he’s going anywhere at Alabama I don’t have no reason to think Dave Van Horn’s done it at um Arkansas I wouldn’t wouldn’t think Auburn make a change with Butch Thompson the bads the highs and lows there have been real extreme at Auburn right um not not entirely sure why probably probably a pitching depth thing Florida Sullivan I don’t think he’s going anywhere Jay Johnson at Georgia wouldn’t think he’s going anywhere no here’s another one does somebody make a r at Nick M own he’s gota be getting people’s attention um I got nothing to base that on but why wouldn’t you I saw something today that was interesting too I was just like aimlessly scrolling on the internet and I came across not this year’s but it was 2023 is how much is each coach in the SEC getting paid and you had Tim Corbin was the most at like 2.5 million you had uh the guy the guys who were up at the top were uh vitel was in the millions you had Van Horn in the millions you had oh gez um o solivan was in the millions guess how much Manon was getting paid or at least got paid in 2023 this kind of baffled me a little bit Yeah 500,000 compared to some of these other guys and I I was like uh man he deserves he’s a million-dollar name at this point you know I I have no idea what his contract is or anything like that but or how it works I just thought that was very interesting especially after this year I mean they split the SEC title for the regular season and they’re going to another Super Regional so he he’s making his keep which is 500,000 compared to a lot of these other coaches who are the millions I don’t know the answer to this but I would guess that the the last coach the the first coach to get paid a million dollar to coach baseball’s probably been in the last decade okay probably probably Texas but I’m just spitballing by the way blue 2017 said Nick’s not going anywhere I had forgotten something I’m just thinking about this I heard on the broadcast he kind of called that his dream job so you know take that for what it’s worth right but I mean look that that’s that’s what happens when you win at a place like Kentucky where you haven’t won people come for your coach it it’s just happens I don’t know what I mean you saw the crazy off season in basketball with you know Kentucky Arkansas no the baseball’s not there yet um here’s another I’m thinking um I don’t think there’s G to be coaching changes in Mississippi Lon lonus was one that I think people thought was almost dead man walking coming into the year um but I mean I I can’t see you know they still three years removed from a national title in a really good this really good year this year could have you know a break or two here or there we talked about that early in the show that goes differently Missouri Carrick Jackson just got there did a good job Kingston’s the one we’re watching um you know I’m looking I have a d1’s list pulled up of a 2024 Carousel uh and this was updated recently as if you know just kind of job this was probably this was right right after conference tournaments no one in the SEC I guess uh the the major name if there was any here uh Brian Peters at Long Beach State he’s out there I don’t he’s not gonna end up at anyc school I can imagine but Long Beach State’s always had good baseball or they’ve had good resources for it it’s been a minute right but we’ll have to see where he ends up and then I’m trying to see anyone no one really significant there’s a bunch of mid Majors really uh yeah no one sec either so yeah Texas is going to be the Domino if they get rid of Pierce I mean Texas got a three seed I don’t know where that is or isn’t but I mean I would think they would kick the tires on Vell oh here’s another one schlagle you know really I think yeah I mean they they’ll ask at least right and why wouldn’t you you would probably get AER right you imagine the waves the the the title waves that would send if in some weird alternate re Universe oh my goodness another strikeout for Neely he’s working see that that’ll be the interesting thing is I don’t know how many like of these guys that Jimmy seon represents I don’t know how much he is or isn’t into the baseball thing thought about it till just now but you’ve seen the crazy money that SEC basketball coaches get paid now that which was not a thing a decade ago I’m wondering if now you start to see some of that happen in baseball because why not I mean these guys are for the for the like you know whatever Tennessee’s paid Tony vitello has been worth it many times over in what they done whatever vanable paid Tim Corbin worked it many times over Jim SCH slash singles earning his money at them I mean the the TV revenues are going up the interest is going up these parks are full for big series you’ve seen Stadium expansions I mean you can get a lot of bang for the buck for a baseball coach right now now I don’t know how profitable those sports are but I don’t know how much people seem to care it’s you know it’s a pride thing so right no and you know you just told me I mean the I I was like oh yeah this SC coach million this SCC coach million Tim Corbin 2 million and B ba and you were like yeah that’s that’s a recent thing and I was like oh wow I didn’t really you know anticipate that but if anything it’s going to I mean just keep growing I mean we saw that even college football coaches if you go way way back uh got nothing and you look at it now it’s just become Millions upon millions of dollars with some of these contracts you see and that’s obviously way way different end of the spectrum than college baseball and always will be but it just goes to show college sports in general how much it’s kind of progressed from that sort of perspective yeah I’m saying if you’re working down from the bottom up on in scale Missouri’s 16 to 16 um and and Carrick Jackson did a nice job after that maybe Georgia might be 15 but I mean that place was was lit this weekend and right yeah you got you could throw a stick and hit Talent from Athens yeah yeah oh yeah yeah yeah yeah I mean Charlie con’s from there but Atlanta I mean you got that’s one that even if the fans I mean the fans they are notorious for being interested in football and nothing else you know but I mean you saw them their tennis was better for basketball this year I mean it’s it’s a base there’s there’s interest in in the state of Georgia for baseball and and as much talent as you’ll find just about anywhere within you know 100 miles of that camp campus 10050 so I mean that’s one that like even if the fans aren’t packing the rafters for a you know midweek game with with Watford or whatever you know you’re still just because of geography you’ve got got an advantage I mean other than that um yeah I’ll be interested to see what happens at Oklahoma right how much they care that’s that’s been one where I don’t know that that their their facilities have been way behind but you get in the SEC you you kind of had no choice but to catch up so yeah absolutely another here’s I don’t know if we’ve or you’ve touched on this a little bit we haven’t done a separate sort of thing about it but a name I did see in the millions also when I was looking at that thing Mike Beano and obviously that that was one up yeah that was that was in Jeopardy a little bit you know based on how the season ended and stuff but that obviously the stuff came out there’s guys tonight if you said coming into Stillwater Florida’s Gonna Be Alive in game four I I don’t that I would have believed you and if you’d said they’re going to strike out 15 guys and give up two runs uh one earned I I don’t know that I would believe that either but but welcome to postseason baseball there you go and 81 uh I believe that’s a 81 uh he he’s up he’s up there 81 pitches for Neely yeah uh yeah 17 batters faced struck out 11 all in four and two3 that is you’re getting into a little bit of I mean he threw 37 pitches on Friday Friday afternoon if you want to distinguish a little bit so there’s there’s a little more rest built in but I mean that’s I mean you could I could see him com back and throw 37 that’s a lot of that’s 130 pitches in two or three days yeah that’s that’s a lot of pitching that’s not really been Kevin o solivan style but desperate times that’s for measures right they’re in they’re in territory they’re not used to being in with him I mean usually they’re in Gainesville you know with a nice easy draw so to speak heading into a super that they they maybe can host but they’re they’re fighting for their life with their with the water right at their eyes so speaking of this this is interesting um A&M is going to Justin lamin to close it out with a 91 lead has pulled Chris Cortez you know I I guess that’s a why not he’d been one of their starters you 100 pitches tonight yeah that is crazy that is 37 37 pitches on Friday and he’s at 96 yeah he he’s going to have let’s say he ends with 100 flat that’s 137 in two days or three days that that’s okay so he’s he’s out CPP is out right you could get a few from McNeely you could get some from Slater um Peterson I would think could be out Jameson I know if Alex Alex philpot’s on the roster Jameson you can maybe get a few you could get some from Pernell but you probably would not want to right maybe a few from Grayson Smith some from satin some from Clemente so they’ve got enough arms they’ve got As an LSU alumnus and fan with some extended family that are Arkansas fans, it warms my heart to be able to rub their faces in it. I told them in the post season Arkansas will choke like they always do and the hogs proved me right yet again. Seriously Arkansas? Losing to Southeastern Missouri State was it? The 4 seed in your own building "One of the top atmospheres in CBB". 😅
