congratulations if you were on Xander I saw a little bit of AC to one from BET Victor on Monday of last week over here in the UK 16 to1 was General there was some 14s as well even on the Monday didn’t see him hugely back but Bryson dambo gave him a a real run for his money so it was good that Bryson did that for us on the bases of as well you guys absolutely smashed it and that’s why I’m in in a really positive mood the most amount of views we ever had on a PGA Championship video thank you very much we smashed the like Target to Smither absolutely fantastic and we crashed and I mean crashed the Charles swab challenge we’re talking about Colonial Country Club it’s a bit of a bit of a shocker this year though because they’ve re they’ve renovated it Gil Hans has turned up he of renovation uh sort of Legendary Legendary status has been given the job to turn Hogan’s alley into a more well you say more modern a more modern golf course but actually goes back to 194 40s in the way that it looks um the I have to say data is patchy they have extended the golf course at Colonial Country Club to 7,289 yards this for this particular tournament so that’s up I believe about 80 yards uh they’ve taken a lot of trees away they’ve widened some of the fairways but basically they’re designing it as it would have been in the 19 I think they said 1941 it was um a bread and Maxwell 36 original but Gil Hansen and Jim Wagner have done such Stellar work recently I mean you can look at Brook L can’t you you can look at Oakmont you can look at Marion you can look at aronomink you can look at Los Angeles Country Club is absolutely stacks of Renovations that they’ve done there is in this week’s predictor Model A Gil Hance variable so if you want to see players in this field that have done well on Gil’s courses have a look at that still categorize it as a as a classical old style golf course it is medium in length of course it is located in Texas it’s still a par 70 only two par fivs one of them well over 600 yards so it’s a big old property I also don’t think that they have changed the grasses so we’re still looking at Bermuda grass Fairways and rra the greens have all been redone they’ve all been shaped but they still feature bent grass greens so difficult to really go into The Strokes game numbers on the basis that we haven’t seen this course before and it’s going to play differently to what we have seen in the past in terms of the weather it looks blowy I’m seeing 20 mph winds or more across all four days it’s also going to be really ridiculously hot up to 35° Centigrade 95° Fahrenheit so high humidity lots of heat this is going to be a proper Texas golf test in uh at the end of May does get sh hot down in the Lone Star State Fields decent enough Scotty Sheffer there Jordan SP Tony fenale Colin Mor car there is some decent players there I will take you through The Strokes gain data that we have on this course they it is likely to have changed though that is the fact of the matter it’s clear that um with this new piece of work from Gil Hans we don’t really know how it’s going to pan out from a Strokes gained perspective but let’s run you through the numbers from memory I’m just playing for time here as usual cuz I haven’t got things timed up as as you regulars will know 17th rough the T Strokes game here of the so this is the uh the winners where they have been in their field relative to the rest of the field that made the cut and then average it through I’m going back here I believe to Jordan SMI in 2016 17th for off the te 11th for approach third second for around the green six for ta green six for patting the splits interesting me 54% of The Strokes gain total from TAA green and 46 with the p if that stays in effect team noat isn’t in great shape this week isn’t in great shape you’ve got to be gaining Strokes on these greens what is likely to be seen now we kind of saw this at qu Hollow a couple of weeks ago they installed new greens that no one ever told us about and did you see the pop that they had even when that Golf Course had received plenty of rain the greens were still bouncing on the Thursday it was amazing to see whether we see that again I expect we do interesting here Colonial has new to technology whereby they can heat the greens up in the morning uh in the morning they can cool them in the afternoons they can heat them up in the winter and they can cool them in in the summer that’s new that’s new uh water-based technology that’s apparently Cutting Edge so not subair as such but it’ll be interesting to see these greens and bear in mind apparently they’ve done this work in 11 months and it could it it could have well taken over a year to do I think it’s been a it’s been a very tight deadline these greens in all likelihood will not have had much time to settle so I think that around the green especially when you’ve got gusting 25 mile winds across some of this tournament is going to be potentially more valuable this year as opposed to the original course this renovation clearly will have different characteristics whether the pting is as important we shall see but it’s certainly been important in the past anything apart anything above that from a traditional statistics perspective I’m going all the way back to Zack Johnson here driving distance 31rd accuracy 20th I don’t think you can be too flagrant around here Green in regulation 12th proximity to hold 21st scrambling 22nd putting average 7th you do seem to have need to have your putting boots to win at Colonial Country Club okay okay let’s take you through this week’s let’s take you through this week’s uh top 10 of my predictor model I pulled it together this morning here we are in the home counties around London in the United Kingdom top 10 if I’m mentioning additional eway places all of 50 odds 10 Justin Rose 66 to with uni 66 to one with uni bet six places each way nine is Billy Hall 55 to1 to 2010 44 to1 I’m only seen one triple digit winner here since 2010 that was buo weekly in 2013 so 62 to1 Last 5 Years 44 to1 going back to 2010 shortest price winner 7 to1 favorite Jordan SMI in 2016 right I’m seeing Paddy Power as short of 72 that P Scotty Sheffer will win the US Open in a few weeks time we can back him at 3 to one this week to win the Charles swab challenge so for me it’s a no-brainer I’m on Scotty Sheffer six points the win I could only get 14 to5 uh with bet Fred on that there is a little bit of three to one out there with bet Fair Sportsbook I don’t have an account I took the 14 to5 with bet Fred on Sheffer local lad third here and second here in the last two outings has his caddy for the full four days I I would assume that it’ll be absolutely ecstatic to be a back at home B sleeping in his own bed C back for his wife and his lovely new baby boy and D that he can take out the child swab challenge which I think would be something this is the this is the tournament he spent a lot of time on as a child I think it’s a big deal for him so I think uh having horse in the race come Sunday we’ll know that if Sheffer from T to Green plays as good as he has been he will be near enough to the top five he’s also in the top 25 over the last eight weeks in my Strokes gained putting numbers so if he’s making half a stroke per round he was 8 Strokes up on the final round in Kentucky last week if he’s anywhere near that he’s going to be close to lead if not starting to distance himself at the top of the charts so I’m on at 14 to5 with bet Fred on Scotty Sheffer no one else no one South though of 50 to1 apart from Scotty Point each way next up William Hill eight places each way on Harris English when I look at The Strokes gain rankings here going back Harris English of those that have played here more than once is second behind only Jordan SP at Colonial for total Strokes gained he’s won at TPC South Wind in the past El chameleon and also TPC River Highlands all nonpar 72s all short to medium length golf courses I think this is his kind ofo he was in the top 20 last week at the PJ Championship he was in the top 10 teeing off on Sunday mainly all with the pter the approach game was also back for Harris which was interesting so if he can keep the approach play nice and solid and keep that putter nice and warm 550 to1 on Harris English the guy he was 36 hole leader here last year I like a bit of Harris English next up Taylor Moore 60 to1 with William Hill eight places each weight on Taya Mo a winner at Copperhead last year a player that has been playing some out standing golf this year 12th went defending at the V Spar at Copperhead he then went on to finish second for us we’re all on board at 70 to1 at Memorial Park that was the week I was on board uh Scotty chefer and he got beat by stepan Jager Mo came in T2 he was 20th Augusta uh he was also fourth after 36 holes at Quil Hollow a couple of weeks ago in that signature event fell back a bit to 38th last week again four consecutive rounds in the 60s 12th Place so last two majors 12th and 20th Taylor Mo’s got a lot of game the S who would win this at a deeper prize for me Taylor Moore 60 to1 with William Hill a local Texan to boot has had a couple of appearances here different kind of player now another one I really fancy I got eight places each way available available by a pick your place with bet Fred on Austin ecro a winner this year at the cognizant classic at PJ National I think atro reminds me slightly s Burns we’ve seen s Burns win earlier in the year and then double up with this colonial so it is possible ecro is playing some outstanding golf 17th at Harbortown at the RBC Heritage 11th at the Zurich Classic of new Jan that week he played with his great friend Chris gotterup who has of course gone on to win in mer the Myrtle Beach Classic two weeks ago he was also 18th that is ecro last week at Valhalla second last year at the baron Nelson they also play in this Dallas Fort Worth area he was 18th here as well on course debut 12 months ago the thing I really like about e gr when you look at his numbers he’s very very um very solid great with his approaches great off the te decent patter as well last week at Valhalla on B grass greens but I can remember him winning that cognizant classic at PJ National and he was great in the wind um so yeah love the thought of ecro getting in the mix this week 66 to1 available with bet Fred eight places each way VIA their Pick Your Place facility finally I’ve only gone with uni bets six places each way but this price was out of kilter 66 to one I got on sep Stucker you all know I’m a absolute sucker for sep Striker I was on him last week at the PJ Championship he missed the cut I know what happens know what happens recency biased you completely forget about him you completely I don’t want to get involved sep stacker for this golf course I think fits 29th here last year he’s playing far better than that a winner both on grass greens at the at PJ National and also on B grass greens last year at the John Deere classic so this combination of Bermuda crass Fairways Bermudagrass rough and Bank Grass greens I think does work for sep strucker 66 to1 only six places each way I grant you but uni bet 66 to1 it was a gift on sep ster fifth at harbort toown a few weeks ago 11th at the Zurich Classic of New Orleans team event and eigh at Quail Hollow two weeks ago he’s 15th across my Strokes gained current form tracker and as you heard earlier first for strokes gained approach tied with the with only the one and only world number one Scotty Sheffer so his approach approach play is brilliant right now so Striker at 66 to1 I’ve got ecro at 66 to1 Taylor Moore at 60 to1 I forgot actually to say to you guys follow me on X at banford C 60 to1 on Taylor Mo Harris English at 50 to1 and finally six points to win 14 to5 there is a little bit of three to one out there on Scotty
