and her are going to be working very very closely this um football season and what we did was we put together a little clip that I’m about to play for y’all all the people that got hurt wearing Adidas Derek Rose Amar sheper Leon Messi John Wall Kevin we RG3 matter of fact I don’t even have to do it let’s get ready go to the clip Nick Adidas araban here we go injuries can be the worst part of the game and when they happen at the highest level of professional sports a lot is on the line health and well-being money career longevity endorsements speaking of endorsements here are some of the most notable sports injuries across Sports genres while the player was wearing Adidas let’s start with Kevin wear this was one of the most gruesome sports injuries ever Louisville versus Duke Kevin wear went up for a block and came down snapped his leg in half Bush sustained a PCL injury in his second season in the NFL a year later he had an MCL sprain then later injured that same knes miniscus Reggie Bush entered the NFL in 2006 and had a portfolio of off field branding deals including Adidas which didn’t end until 2013 in that time Reggie Bush missed at least a cumulative season’s worth of games due to injuries 49ers running back Frank Gore sustained a knee injury in the inzone during a playoff game he was assisted by medical personnel as he was unable to immediately get himself up over the course of his long illustrious career Kevin Garnett battled multiple leg injuries he was a marquee endorser for Adidas in 2012 rookie sensation Robert Griffin III breathed life into the reskins organization and had fans on an absolute High well that high quickly turned into a low and he tore his ACL and LCL in a playoff match up versus the Seahawks after Tracy McGrady sustained a knee injury and underwent surgeries the quickness and firststep T-Mac once had was never the same Derek Rose tore his ACL while driving to the basket and in the first game of the 2012 playoffs all injuries are unfortunate but this one felt especially tragic because we all saw the impact he had on that team and on the game as a whole the list really goes on here are a few more injuries players sustained while wearing Adidas Iman shumer tore his ACL during a first round playoff game Donovan Mitchell was expected to miss game five versus the Celtics this year with a calf injury two years ago Damen Lillard left Portland’s game versus Miami with a calf injury that same year James Harden was expected to miss a month with a foot injury and it’s not just the NBA and NFL this year it was reported that Lionel Messi would not play in Argentina’s two friendlies against the US due to a right- leg injury Paulo dybala suffered a left quad injury and was facing 4 to8 weeks of rest putting the World Cup in Jeopardy this year Muhammad Salah injured his hamstring in Egypt’s draw against Ghana former number one tennis player Anna Ivanovich retired from tennis at the age of 29 due to injuries is it a curse is it a coincidence is it a pattern let’s talk about it now Adidas this could go on because what I did do was reach out to Kevin wear for people that don’t know who Kevin wear is that’s the guy at Louisville whose leg actually his bone came through a skin he’s wearing Adida socks Adida sneakers and everything else so I’m reaching out to him and we’re getting ready to do the Kevin wear documentary it’s not locked in I got I got resources in my in my team reaching out so we’re gonna work on that this week but that’s my goal this week we’re going to do the Kevin we documentary then I’m going to reach out to Kevin Garnett and everybody else that we just saw get hurt and we’re going to put the Adidas why do players and athletes get hurt because it’s not just basketball it’s not just uh football it’s soccer it’s tennis and unless goes on for different sports so we G to start the hash pray for Ant-Man but Adidas let’s do it I’m excited wow and these are these are injuries that were like career shifting yeah the tennis player that we just watched in the clips he was 28 years old and had to retire at 28 years old Kevin we had to retire these are people that’s not even 30 years old that had to retire wearing Adidas and Derek Rose was never the same after that never so we not even bringing up Tracy McGrady we missed out on the whole T-Mac situation Adidas this is Adidas but we’re going to do in-depth documentaries on these things so we’ll have plenty of time to talk about it wow yeah so is what it just other day these are not the guys you want to get in a spot with oh no Mur we gon we gonna do we gonna do a whole Adidas why players get hurt wearing Adidas but we going to single out Kevin W A lot of people don’t know Kevin we and before you Google who Kevin wear is I know we showed a clip of him um what’s that [ __ ] they put on the news murder when they be like now this may be hurting for the eyes or something but they be like viewer discretion advised yeah if you Google Kevin Will’s leg viewer discretion advis but you’ll see the Adidas socks and the Adidas on athletes be careful be careful I’m telling you now cuz the list of all stars that were potential Superstars or Superstars that didn’t that was never the same you GNA be shocked about it we got all summer though we got all summer but I got love for Ant Man I love the commercial I thought it was dope but Adidas we on you pause wow going crazy yeah I have nothing else to add and I want to ask you how did you feel about the approach we know how y’all feel about Adidas but how did you feel about the approach of the commercial um I thought I thought it was a little um I thought he missed his opportunity actually I think like we gave him the the platform to end the idea of how to make his sneakers go through the roof and that was when you dunk on somebody take the shoe off and kiss and kiss the shoe you know bring the attention to the shoe don’t bring the attention it’s never smart to bring your attention to somebody who will go harder than you would go that that’s that’s crazy cuz if it comes into a a debate we actually win cuz we have the least to lose they have more to lose so I thought it was a poor strategy he was better off just bringing cam on a on the um thing and that would have been fire you know what I’m saying bring out the pink addition and do you know Jimmy ve week or something like that but you know the whole thing about it murder not the cut you a murder that’s what I’m saying that’s why to me my personal opinion I don’t know if Antman or whoever keeps up with the show we me and you both and stat he don’t do nothing but show him mad love all the time I this was in adepoy it’s no way that Ant-Man kept some receipt from whenever I said whatever even if I ever said it that he didn’t do that bro you didn’t do that that was Adidas that’s why I’m more disappointed than them cuz y’all should know better if y y’all should know better I like a man’s attitude do what you got to do but Adidas y’all should know better y’all should know better but what you just said murder was very very smart uh and correct because they got more to lose than us Inside the NBA table so do you like their choice to do this and not basically go to do the postgame interview with Draymond or do you feel like it’s not that big of a deal this was after their win um I think I think either way you look at it they’re still kind of being too touchy because if you’re going to be this way when when you win I could only imagine how you would be after a loss you know this this type of team got to got to have more more mental fortitude than that you know that this is a sign of weakness I don’t know if they think it’s a a sign of solidarity but it’s really a sign of weakness because you you got to do the media and when you start ducking certain people because of their criticism what people are basically saying for the young athletes out there is that because you try to be so social media all the time then you should it should be understandable that it comes with the territory you’re not going to be super lit and then don’t have to talk during these times that that comes with the territory this is that subject we had before when we was talking about um women’s sports people want the fame they want the money but they don’t want the the accountability and just draymond’s attitude on the court is the reason he has the endorsements he’s Wild on the court but he speaks very well and he has a lot of knowledge of the game of basketball so you sit there and you watch him on TNT they say we’re going to go to break and when they go to break his commercial is the first commercial for a car or something a key I don’t know what it is and he gets these sponsorships for thinking outside the box I think it’s messed up because it costed them the end of you but um it’s just something that’s that TNT is uh going to to think about moving forward but I know Ted Turner and I know Shaq and I know uh Kenny I don’t know Charles Brockley that well Shaq and and Kenny and and Charles barley just from knowing him off television them is the type of [ __ ] to be like man [ __ ] them [ __ ] they n because them [ __ ] is always talking about how [ __ ] is cowbabies and you know they come from [ __ ] don’t want to man [ __ ] them [ __ ] yo I don’t give a [ __ ] if them [ __ ] want to do the interview and I [ __ ] them [ __ ] we here them is them type of [ __ ] so so I think if they cuz even when Draymond uh when the series was leaving Dallas when they won that one game and they had to go back to Minnesota Draymond couldn’t go back to Minnesota because he had uh prior obligations and Charles Barkley and Kenny and Shaq was like come on Dre you got to come back to Minnesota they liked having him up there so he’s like yo come on you gotta go he’s like man if it wasn’t for my son I’d definitely go he said well your son could come back like they it
