[Music] what’s going on YouTube it’s te back again with another video and today I’m dishing out my 2024 NFL offseason grades we’re going to talk a little free agency a little NFL draft put it all together and I’m going to hand out an offseason grade for all 32 NFL teams some of these moves will just kind of be you know quick on cuz I got 32 grades to hand out don’t want to make this into a three-hour you know deep dive into each and every team’s free agency and draft well probably do a little bit more of that once we get to my uh division by division season previews um I used to do those team by team let me know if you prefer that but I think this year TimeWise it’s just going to be easier if I put four teams into one video uh that point aside let me know what you think about that in the comments also want to apologize took off last couple of Fridays had you know a funeral my family and then uh some Memorial Day travels so I am bringing this to you on uh Memorial Day itself 6:00 uh when this video is being posted so thank you to everyone who’s had you know family members uh that you’ve lost uh know in the armed forces uh it’s because of their sacrifice that I get to do things like this and dish out my 2024 offseason great so thank you all again and of course Memorial Day hope it’s a great day and a relaxing one for all those enjoying the day off and of course thank you again to everyone who has lost loved ones in the armed forces all right let’s go ahead and kick things off it looks like uh this tier list is uh done by division so that’s fine with me we start off with the Buffalo Bills I gave their free agen CSC I gave their NFL draft a uh bgrade and all in all that’s going to accumulate into a C+ grade for me in the Buffalo Bills as we go through this I will be putting these teams in the order so this is not just fre agency grades this is technically a ranking too um you know spoiler alert the builds going to be one of the lower ones um and you know It’s just tough I mean fre agency it’s hard to think about this team being better when you’re swapping out Stefan Diggs and Gabe Davis who I’m not even a huge Gabe Davis guy but those two for Curtis Samuel and M Hans Chase clay you know like you know it’s and then also like losing Jordan puyer and I like R but you know there still some safety turnover that’s been a big part of this team’s identity too so um and part of my fre agency great is dictated by where I think this team is one in a rebuild but also two in regards to the salary cap and there were a lot of moves here like losing a mitch moris that kind of had to happen but also because of that you did make some moves that I wonder if they would have made without it and I wonder how it’s going to play out long term this is not going to be really a negative or a positive but like Dion Dawkins I think is a good player three-year extension you know the news first came out he was [ __ ] and then it was an extension it was kind of weird thing but they did extend some of these players on the active roster AJ apanza so I want to know in a couple years time how we kind of look back at those extension not really factoring that in here um and then for the NFL draft like a lot of weight on Keon Coleman he’s definitely been like a social media star no doubt about that Cole Bishops I think is a really good player for that system um and then a couple of like later you know draft picks Edon Osio I think that’s a solid like Tyrell Dodson replacement some off ball linebacker depth uh Cedric vanran could see him being a mitch Morse replacement as soon as uh soon as this year really so and you’ll see on the T list tier list like I didn’t give anybody worse than a c I think the NFL has gotten a lot smarter and I think teams are becoming I don’t know again smarter just about how to go about the offseason managing the salary cap and then also like how to treat draft picks both with trading up but also like the value of reaching versus like the value of let’s just see if he gets to us next round you know whatever so uh I think teams have just gotten a little bit sharper when it comes to their offseason process as a whole so C is the worst grade I’m to give out today so uh bills are are team 31 but nevertheless You know despite that wide receiver hit I I still think this team can be very very good it’s just going to be like the Josh Allen Show and Joe br’s going to have to make it work with these new receivers which you know we’ll talk more about that in the season preview I think there’s a world where this could work out then we get to the Miami Dolphins I gave the Dolphins B minus 4 free agency a B+ for the NFL draft free see was you know you swap out I actually think in a lot of ways Kendall Fuller might end up being an upgrade uh outside corner to of R davan Howard but we’ll see we we’ll find out with some time um also I think Vic Fu that just didn’t really work out and I am accounting for coaching changes here and head coaching hires just so everyone’s clear um Fu I just I didn’t think it really worked out to the the best that I I potentially saw it playing out last year and uh in a lot of ways like their new DC you know this guy who gets some head coaching you know interviews like I’m really excited to see what Anthony Weaver brings to the table there um losing in Van GLE tough but then you get to the draft you bring in a chop Robinson get a little bit more of that edge depth back um you also get a Patrick pauland there which is a really nice Teran AR Tron Armstead uh contingency and then a couple of nice you know uh day3 receivers Malik Washington Taj Washington two guys I think that are just really sound football players so all in all I think a solid offseason from Miami I think they especially given the cap and kind of the decision ahead with Tua I think they kind of navigated this in a near perfect fashion so I’m going to give the Miami Dolphins a b they’re going to come in at team number 24 in our rankings next the New England Patriots I gave their free see a b draft a B+ and this is a team that like you really have to take into account like where is this team in a rebuild process so their free agency isn’t super sexy but bringing back Mike on wayu I think is a really good move let’s see what Juma cor for is all about jacobe Bret can be a guy that could start right away especially if you’re not comfortable with Drake May being your uh day one starter so you know I think free agency was just kind of littered with you know almost kind of shades of the Texans moves a couple years ago where it was like yeah we’re kind of an in between stage right now we want to get guys who could start right away but we’re not really ready to break the bank with anybody yet so um I think New England kind of handled it uh handled the free agency really well um and just didn’t didn’t try to overextend themselves also I’m excited about this geran Mayo uh tenure I think I think in a lot of ways new engle’s a place where like I could see you want to stick with something that’s already worked but you just need a a new voice and and just kind of a little bit of a revamp but you kind of kindy to want to keep that same Patriot Way and I think gerod Mayo is the way to kind of thread that needle um and I like their draft too I mean Dr May was my qb2 is a blue chipper for me uh Javon Baker Jaylen pul two guys that were definitely my guys the receiver spot in a loaded receiver class um some of their offensive line picks weren’t my favorite but all in all I think it was still a really solid draft um and I’m at this point Elliot wolf I mean can you just keep the GU as a g I think he kind of proved it uh with that draft I think he did a really good job except for those offensive line picks but it’s going to be a B for the New England Patriots next up New York Jets free agency got a B and then I gave their uh their NFL draft a B+ so I know I think the Jets it’s just a team that kind of underst stood where they were made just a couple of Moves In free agency that just you know kind of filled out what was there um and and then you look at the NFL draft and it’s like hey we we just signed a Tyron Smith let’s go ahead and get that injuring contingency and Olo fasu who actually really profiles very similar to a Tyron Smith and also then you get a Mike Williams and you know he comes with some boom bus you know injury uh concerns there but when he’s healthy he’s a really nice compliment to Garrett Wilson um I think that could definitely be a uh a big hit there for uh the Jets and then also like bringing in Javon kenlaw kind of a Buy Low option there so don’t hate that whatsoever and and the Jets were kind of light on draft Capital so I didn’t really hold that too much against them really malikai Cory is going to depend is going to be the determining factor for what I give this grade uh you know like in a couple years time when we revisit it but they apparently had him as a wide receiver four that’s pretty wild to me to me I’ve not really seen a receiver yet I’m we seeing like a really awesome yards after the catch guy but could he be new age R cob for Aaron Rogers in a lot of in a lot of ways I kind of want to see that play out just that way so um All In All I’m going to give the Jets a B+ the first team to hit the B+ category all right on to the AFC North of Baltimore Ravens B plus free agency a NFL draft for me and they’re going to go into the a minus tier I think keeping just a mad up week a that was one you kind of had to have there’s going to be a little turnover at defensive coordinator ultimately they’re hiring from within so I would expect it to be relatively the same and then also you sign Derrick Henry this feels like a I’ve been kind of waiting for the Ravens to like trade for Derrick Henry for some time now uh and now they just do it in free agency so I mean they’re just they’re just smart organization right like why give up picks when we have the chance to get them in free agency you know so um and ultimately paid out their patience and two years 16 million I don’t think that’s a bad value for a guy that’s still one of the best running backs in the NFL and he makes for a really interesting compliment next to Lamar next to Keat Mitchell so really excited to see what that uh you know I say that as a Steelers fan I’m consciously excited to see where this goes out uh or goes from here in Baltimore um and then you get to the NFL draft and I mean those first three picks for me are just like a process Nate wagin falls into your lap sure we could take a corner let’s go do it that felt like a BPA pick oh yeah we get to the second round Roger Rosen Garten a guy who could have been a mid first rounder next year if he had gone back to Washington Falls in our lap at 62 we’ll go and pull the trigger there there’s one of our starters and that was one of the weird things about this offseason for the Ravens they felt like they needed to overhaul that o line but it’s ultimately kind of worked out cuz I think mcari could be one of the starters on the inside I’m more than comfortable starting adri Vorhees I liked him coming out of USC a season ago and now Roger Rosen Garten there at right tackle and then a dies Isaac falling to you in the ’90s like I had that happen in Mock and I would always say God you should go higher than this but but that’s the NFL draft sometimes guys fall because there’s just a lot of good football players in that second third round range and someone gets pushed down the board because of it I think the Ravens again their process is just so sound they just wait for the board to come to them and they’re not too eager to overdraft the position of need good football players fall to them they recognize it they take them they make it work from there so a minus for Baltimore it feels like it happens every offseason on the Cincinnati Bengals I gave their free agency a beat plus that’s a tough one just because you’re losing a DJ reader you’re going to you’re going to keep T Higgins but I kind of like their their approach here because it kind of feels like they got no offer that feels like they kind of didn’t get a first round pick as an offer um because NFL teams are probably like he can sign elsewhere next off season you’re going to get a third we’re not really incentivized to give you much more than that here’s a second and then if you’re the Bengals yeah it’s round earlier and a year earlier but you could also keep T hickin to try to go win it all and then get that third round pick next year so I don’t know if really they got the offer that was worth like moving on from Higgins a year early so I kind of like their process from that standpoint again it’s going to be hard to replace reer but bringing is Sheldon rankins he’s been kind of up and down in my opinion but um his upside is definitely like a solid run stopper they also draft one and Chris Jenkins kind of getting their draft now I gave that an a um or excuse me I gave that an A minus but nevertheless it you know like amarius Mims didn’t need him to start this year because you bring in a Trent Brown another under the radar kind of free agency move but now one you have these three massive human beings TR Brown Orlando Brown and amarus Ms but now Mims doesn’t have to be rushed into a starting spot especially given his injury history it’s probably good to just continue to let him just kind of build up some confidence um granted his injuries at Georgia or like teammates falling on him kind of freak things but nevertheless you don’t have to rush him into a starting spot because he may not be there you know only like 600 College snaps he might not be NFL ready yet uh but long term it’s they’re filling that position for the year’s 2 three four on his rookie contract they’re thinking a year ahead so really like that process Chris has a really solid pick too and then just kind of the rest of the way just like solid process there um D toen has just become one of the one of the like smartest GMS in the league man I really think he’s kind of cracked that code and he’s been a big part of this Bengals turnaround him and Joe burrow in a lot of ways and Jamar Chase of course uh to me deserve a line share of that credit but all that to say I’m going to give give the Cincinnati Bengals a B+ and they’re going to be the number 12 team in this ranking and let me just double check and confirm I do believe they are going to be ahead of the New York Jets yes they are all right let’s get on to the Chicago Bears and uh uh actually this is the Cleveland Browns sorry uh I don’t know why that logo looked like it was orange and blue to me uh but anyways the Cleveland Browns uh B plus free agency and then a b draft another team that was kind of light on draft Capital when it comes to freey bring in a couple of off ball linebackers been a problem spot um so you know Deon Busch and Jordan Hicks can they give you a decent floor I think they could you know be a tandem that does that um resigning uh zidus Smith to me is a big one I think this is last year was easily the Best Supporting Cast from that D line around miles Garrett that he’s had in his career to me it was much needed to keep those guys around um I think you get to the NFL draft and again no first rounder but um you know Zack zinter I think is a future starter Michael Hall I’m very fascinated to see what that turns into cuz again don’t know if it’ll be much in the way of like a run stopper but let’s just say it’s third and 10 and now you’re having to deal with Miles Garrett Darius Smith Michael Hall Jr and other guys on that defensive line that are force in and of themselves this is going a team that where like you’re in a third long the drive feels almost you know almost just done before the play starts you know so um yeah no I I like a lot of what the Browns have done just another team that’s I I always just feel like I I I can see where they’re trying to go with this and uh I’m a big analytics geek and I feel like a lot of teams the AFC North outside of the Steelers they’re starting to get there but they have really kind of embraced that um and they’re kind of the Forefront of what what I said earlier where teams I feel like are getting smarter they’re finding those Corners that you can cut and it kind of feels like it started with the Ravens and and the Browns and then and then the Bengals caught up I think the Steelers are getting there too but the league it’s as a whole it’s kind of picking up on it as well but the Cleveland Browns are going to come in as the number 2017 and again number 27 but they’re going to get a B so they’re behind these other two AFC East teams but it was still solid offseason it was also one that just didn’t need major overhaul um another reason it’s also in this category is the Jerry Judy trade you look at the D the trade itself and it’s like they’re buying low on Jerry Judy I love that I think you see the extension they’re like are they buying low or they kind of buying market value here like I don’t know you know so and H the extension price is part of the reason the trade is so you know um low cost but I hard to say that this isn’t the best even though I’m a little hesitant to say this because deshun Watson hasn’t been great this has got to be the best quarterback situation Judy’s had right like he’s had Joe flacko Case Keenum uh Russell Wilson Jared sdam for a point last year I think deshun Watson’s the best guy throwing him a football during his career like it’s kind of wild look at the Broncos quarterback since 2019 like it’s not been pretty I think Watson is the best of a bunch so we’re going to get to see and ultimately that trade might look that much better and that extension will look better with another year’s time but right now they’re going to go in the B category still a solid offseason for Cleveland to the Pittsburgh Steelers I’ll be a little harsh here I’m a Steeler fan by the way C+ for free agency um let’s start I when I originally did my freey grades I gave him a D+ but that was pre- Justin fields and I am definitely in that Justin Fields should be starting week one over Russell Wilson camp I just I mean Fields isn’t perfect he’s far from it but I don’t know how you look at those two guys the last two years and say Russell Wilson’s the better guy I I just I’m not seeing that um and then you talk about just the rushing ability and what that will open up too I think Fields has just been better across the board plus much better athlete that can kind of keep defenses honest um but also um I’m not the world’s biggest fan of the Patrick Queen signing I I feel like I’m probably one of the lower Steeler fans on that uh but I I did kind of like pivot and and change my rhetoric around that a little bit once I saw the guarantees because my concern is his two years he was good in Baltimore Mike McDonald was the DC ran Smith was wearing the green dot he doesn’t have either one of those two things in this new environment so let’s just say this does flame out Crash and Burn they could cut him next year and save a lot of money against the cap so because there’s not a whole lot of guarantees and ultimately he said himself he took less money to try to be a contender hopefully he plays well and helps us continue to be a contender but if it doesn’t work out they can move on from him pretty quick so that changed my tune a little bit then they got Justin Fields I’m like okay cool let’s see where this goes um and I also think like they definitively lost that Deontay Johnson trade so that dings their free agency grade a little bit that’s just more of an overall offseason thing but it happened during free agency before the draft uh but then their draft comes in and a tone setting draft that none of them felt like a reach pton Wilson at 98 sign me up for that mason mccormic in the fourth round sign me up for that I didn’t think there was a world where Troy fotan my ot2 would fall into our lap at 20 uh 21 excuse me and that he did so the draft really kind of saved the grade and again with some time and the Justin Fields move the frequency grade got better from where it was um uh when I initially did the free agency grade video and also Arthur Smith’s a sizable upgrade at OC like even no matter what you think about Atlanta and his tenure he was a solid o in Tennessee and like let’s just be honest m h as a fraud there was no reason that man was an offensive coordinator so just about any higher was going to be better than Matt Canada but the Pittsburgh Steelers with an a draft and let me know by the way if you want me to rank the NFL draft grades I I could choose violence to do that for another video here on the channel but the Pittsburgh Steelers all and all are going to get an A minus they’re going to be the number eight team in these rankings and let me just double check I got to peep my rankings here they are one spot ahead of Baltimore but these two teams off seasons were both Rock Solid I I if you’re a Ravens fan I wouldn’t hate you for switching these um but I I think the Steelers draft kind of put it one spot up and over the Ravens but I also like the Ravens fifth round too so I again I could go back and forth on these two teams anyways AFC South time let’s talk about the Houston Texans they’re going to be one of the highest ranking teams in this video Houston ultimately is I think uh number three team in this ranking but uh free agency is going to get the a and that and that’s what doing a line the lon share the work here it’s interesting when you have this rookie contract window you know there’s some teams that are going to continue to build through the draft you know like we’ll talk about the Cardinals next year but they’re not on a rookie contract window so that’s not the best example but nevertheless sometimes you know these teams are still building through the draft but you know one year in with CJ stad Houston feels confident they’ve got a hit there and you know I feel pretty confident as well it all looked pretty legit last year for my eyes um so they took this as an opportunity to build with vets and and be like yeah it’s okay we’ll move on from Jonathan grard if that means we’re getting danal Hunter and hey cool we we’ll take Stefan digs even if it’s only for a year we’ll go ahead and part ways with a future second round pick if that means we get digs for a year that makes Nico Collins and tank Dell that much better as they’re two and three in the offense yeah so I mean Joe Mixon to okay the Bengals are going to cut him wait no no we’ll go ahead and give you a six round pick that’s a huge upgrade at running back too so um and then you get to their draft and ultimately the draft wasn’t like super sexy I gave it a b but you know Blake Fischer I think that’s a future starter for them and then even like Kamari ler could compete on the outside the 40 time probably keeps him inside but also had an electric three cone I think he’d be a damn good uh slot cornerback and that’s kind of where I pivoted once I got the 40s on that’s where I pivoted him in my position rankings so um really was free agency that stole the show here for Houston but the draft wasn’t bad either I’m going to give the Houston Texans an A minus for the off season and they are going to be the highest team in the a minus category so far to the Indianapolis cult uh their fre agency was mostly just keeping their guys around right uh you know reigning to Forest Buckner reigning uh Michael Pitman Jr things like that which that’s kind of been the Indie Mo in free agency the last couple of years um reassigning Kenny Moore another example of that um but when you got good football players I would I would encourage you to bring them back especially Michael Pitman where it’s like okay this receiver core without Pitman is a bit of a weoo uh then when it comes to the NFL draft I gave him an a grade solely for the first two picks I we’ll see what happens with M calz you know I I I’m not entirely sure I see his path the field Tanner bordini I think I do but Leu latu for a team that’s been starved for high-end Edge play gets the best Edge rusher the most NFL ready Edge rusher in this class the guy with the best move in this class his cross chop is filthy well that feels like an answer it feels a huge hole for Indianapolis and then ad9 Mitchell Falls in your lap in the second round this team needed an upgrade over Alec Pierce and I thought if they were going to get ad okay cool you must have done it at 15 they do it at what 52 or whatever that pick was 47 that’s insane that’s that’s SI I think it was like 50 or whatever it was but nevertheless that’s an upgrade over Alec Pierce and uh yeah and now Pierce slots in is your four now that feels like an okay fourth receiver to have that’s some good receiver depth so just it’s amazing how much that one edition and moving guys down the rung um makes everything look that much better so yeah Indianapolis Colts all in all great offseason there for Chris Ballard uh and I’m going to give them an A minus they’re going to be the number seven team in these rankings sliding in just ahead of my Pittsburgh Steelers all right to the Jacksonville Jaguars it’s going to be a B for free agency really headlined by Eric Armstead um that one Tren buy that made all the sense of the world you know his connection is San Francisco but also this team you got Trayvon Walker who can play inside out but like he’s still kind of a work in progress Eric armstead’s kind of like almost what you hope Walker can kind of turn into this guy who can be productive both inside and out you move them all across the D line depending on the the down and distance so uh yeah great great mentor there for Trayvon Walker different body types for sure but like you hope that’s the role long term for Trayvon Walker um I also like bringing in Ronald Derby just like a solid decently High floor I don’t say super high floor but like decent floor for a number two Corner hopefully Tyson C gets back on track then Gabe Davis I in a lot of ways I could see is like a might might end up being a better fit and a better compliment for Christian Kirk than Calvin Ridley um and also I felt like this team just need a little bit more size a little bit more go up and get it potential Trevor Lawrence did do a decent bit of that uh at college and just think about some of the the you know 50-50 balls especially you know Justin Ross that first year when they uh won The Natty like there’s there’s a decent bit of that um but you know again I referen this all the time go on X or Twitter whatever you call it Ian hard it’s almost Trevor Lawrence touchdowns watch that 5 minute clip and you’ll be like yeah this team could use a little bit of a bigger receiver more short-handed Red Zone guy I’m not a huge Gabe Davis dude but in a lot of ways I think he brings more of that to the table than Ridley does but that being said Ridley’s a much more Savvy route Runner so you know give and take there for sure then you get to this team’s draft and I think the process for the move back they got a future third future fourth still get Brian Thomas Jr with that trade with Minnesota that’s that’s that’s an A plus move in my books I think they would have taken Thomas where they were but instead get even more Capital out of it um you know the Smith pick is is going to be an interesting one but then jiren Jones this team I’ve been looking for I want them to get a nasty nickel and I think jiren Jones especially if they’re going to play Man coverage like that’s going to be awesome also had to throw out new defensive coordinator Ryan neelson coming off a great year in Atlanta got a lot of really good things in New Orleans before that I think that’s a pretty sizable upgrade at the defensive coordinator spot as well all in all it is going to be a b they’re going to be the number 28 team in these rankings but again do not be concerned uh Jacksonville fans I am still a big fan of your offseason it’s just there’s a a lot of teams that to me had some really sound off Seasons uh then we get to Tennessee B plus for free agency B minus for the NFL draft and really it’s just about building around will Levis you look at free agency and it’s you know one the higher Bill Callahan or Brian Callahan bringing in his dad Bill Callahan I mean that’s slam dunk for sure and I wasn’t crazy about the Brian Callahan hype but you tell me his dad’s coming along it’s like okay I can get behind that and that almost gives me kind of fast forward into the draft here JC leam you know I kind of went back and forth on him some days I could be like yeah he’s my ot3 I really like L them in the upside especially if he’s at 340 you know I look at the tape from two years ago and I’m like all right that’s his size I can get behind this but ultimately still a top five offens tackle for me uh but I just wouldn’t have taken him there at seven um I would have gone in another Direction but that’s fine uh when you tell me he’s partnered up with Bill cahan I’m that much more excited about the you know the upside that leam brings um but kind of getting back to Frey then it’s the Calvin Ridley signing and it’s like okay cool we’re going to continue to build The Supporting Cast around will Levis uh so you know between the draft freeny another highlight receiver that other Tackle Spot we’re hoping that’s going to clean things up sounds like he’s going to play left tackle and Nicholas PTI rier is going to get a chance to get better right tackle hopefully Bill Callahan could work his magic there also a Lloyd cushenberry signing in fre agency big move and then also chobia wer the team that needed to revamp The Corner Spot chobia wer and then you land uh lerus sne for a future third round pick a lot of money invested a corner now but ultimately I think that that tandem is far superior from what they had last year and then really their Stand Out corner from a year ago Roger query now just looks like gets to be a stud in the slot the place he was born to play at the NFL level so that secondary all of a sudden is looking a whole lot better minus the Kevin Byer departure that that part hurts but other than that I’m feeling really really good about that secondary feeling better about will Levis and his supporting uh Supporting Cast around him all in all including the head coaching hires I’m going to give the Tennessee Titans a b they’re going to slot in as team number 21 in these rankings next up the Denver Broncos um yeah Denver unfortunately I I’ll be quick they are going to be the team that’s at the bottom of the barrel here um but um that’s not to really poo poo it too much let still we’ll see still not too too bad part of it’s the dead cap hit against Russell Wilson you know like that’s just going to be a that’s a tough pill to swallow you know say to say the least um but then you get B knck who I think comes with a relatively High floor good fit for Shawn pyton uh I think he can kind of keep his team competitive while staying cheap so that way you know you look at the salary that they’re paying Russell Wilson it’s like okay bonck can kind of you know make up for you know that that big chunk of the salary cap that’s gone cuz he can help you compete right away the Judy trade hurts and now this receiver spots looking you know we’ll see what happens but then they get Troy Franklin in the draft okay I’m not a huge Troy Franklin guy but should he gone higher than the fourth round to me yeah probably Chris aams drain I think could be their number two Corner as soon as week one really I think he could even that even saying that as an outside corner that’s where he played in Missouri he’s not the biggest guy but he just gets the position um and uh and again going into you know year or two the Sha offense like Tim Patrick coming back healthy I you know I think this ultimately could be a this should be a better team than it was last year Shawn Pyon should get more out of this team um but there’s still some question mark to have about this team and and just uh a few spots in just kind of the construction of it you know like again moving on from a Jerry Duty it’s like okay well Tim Patrick G to stay healthy like what are you doing Courtland Sut and Mar Marvin Mims you like barely played him last year so I still have a few questions but all in all it’s going to come down to bonck like that’s going to determine this grade for the Denver Broncos also I like Jonah Ellis strap picked want to throw that out there now a second rounder so that made it tough but I think Ellis can be a really productive guy and thought he should have gone higher than the uh third round uh just in my opinion all right next up is the Kansas City Chiefs um this is one that I I I’ve decided to this been a tough one for me because you know it’s the the raining champ so like in a lot of ways like I I think they just did a lot of smart moves to kind of keep their pieces there like Chris Jones obviously you got to keep him round Drew tranquil you’re going to lose Willie gay can you get one of those guys back tranquil okay cool in a lot of ways I think tranquil might have played better down the stretch than Willie gay I’ve always been a big fan Willie Gay Jr though so um they get one of those two off ball linebackers back Mike panel played a really good Super Bowl too get him back I’m not a huge Derek nauy guy but there is some continuity there for sure um but really it’s like the resigning of Chris Jones and then it’s like oh and you get Hollywood Brown for $7 million like oh great fit for this offense kind of brings that speed element that they weren’t missing more reliability than nvs branks more you know honestly I think Savvy route running in the intermediate and deep down the field that mvs brings to the table so smaller but an upgrade at that position none less and then you get to this team’s draft and you know Xavier Worley was someone I liked you kind of used a variety of ways at Texas but ultimately like if there was one place you could tell me he’s going to go where I’m most optimistic about Xavier worthy Kansas City would have been towards the top of the list and they trade up with Buffalo and make that happen then K su matai falls in their lap I think Jared Wy could be an interesting play for them uh as a potential like definitely tight end two you know early as week one this year but like there’s some skill sets there where it’s like him as your Travis Kelce under study I could be Cur I’d be interested in what that looks like especially if you know Kelsey gets banged up or something like that could Wy fill that role there’s a lot of me that says yeah I could see that U and Hunter NORAD I don’t know where he’s going to fit into this felt like this last year at Penn State playing Center was his best role but Creed Humphrey is probably the best center in football right now so I don’t know what’s going on there but they do get a nice football player in my opinion uh as some in extra interior offensive line depth so all in all pretty solid offseason for Kansas City this would have been an a if they kept leria sne But ultimately like the you know the S Cap’s going to this salary Cap’s going to salary cap you’re going to have to make some tough decisions there they do get a future asset and next year when we’re talking about the mock you know mock drafts it’s like oh the chief’s got two third round picks or maybe they use that to land a veteran of the deadline who knows but if they keep those that extra third it’s like okay cool there you know the Chiefs another top 100 pick you know we’re going to be talking about it in a in a pretty positive manner by next year with the Kansas City Chiefs I’m going to give them a B+ they’re going to be the number 13 team on this ranking let me double check that with cinc yeah they’re one spot behind Cincinnati uh the Las Vegas Raiders are next it’s going to be a B for free agency B minus for the draft and all in all they’re going to get a B minus they’re going to be team number 29 again not not trying to put down the Raiders I think they made the right head coaching higher with Antonio Pierce like they they had to learn from the rich bachum ultimately quotequote mistake um because boy that did not work out with Josh McDaniels and co uh so I I think they be the right move also I think Max Crosby and Devonte Adams themselves would have L A Revolt they not hired uh Antonio Pierce so um really the reason I can’t get anything hired than specifically in free agency you know a grade of of a be is because it’s Garner MCH and a no a no Connell as your top two quarterbacks going into next year they were just the one team kind of left without a chair when the music stopped playing um both in the draft and in free agency which is tough but sometimes it shakes out that way and I will say at least they didn’t get desperate and go out there and make a move and and a panic draft pick or something like that so they kind of held tight on their Laurels and I think Antonio Pierce wants to run the Rock and win with defense and gner MCH in a lot of ways is you know he’s he’s going to throw a couple games away for you CU he’s going to have a couple bad ones but he can also have success in that type of environment look at Indianapolis last year um losing Josh Jacob is going to be a huge ding towards that identity but potentially uh uh zamir white breakout season I’m I’m interested him for Fantasy big time but also they keep Devonte Adams they uh told jacobe Meyers there you then get to the draft Brock Bowers him and Michael May that’s a really interesting compliment again for this Pound The Rock offense run playay action off of It kind of an interesting identity ad I’m a little worried about the Luke higher like I I don’t know we we’ll find out this year how much was Fields impacting his offense how much was he impacting Fields we’re going to get some AB analysis this year with those two guys both in different spots um and for the rest of the draft uh they get the uh name escaping me now big tall long corner from Mississippi State who name again is escaping me um also Jack Paris Johnson they announced him as a guard so I’m fine with that I think he could play either spot he was just outside my blue chippers to me just a guy that there was there was no reason he didn’t go in the first round uh great football player could play center but they resigned Andre James so let’s just say jpj plays left guard Dylan parm slides over to Right Guard we see what the Buffer’s all about at right tackle could see world where he’s about gerain lumor if not maybe a little bit more so lumor has been a solid player so if he’s a luminor level that’s a good step forward for th mford and I can see this offensive line being a okay you know uh so uh really in I I can’t believe I neglected to talk about this one of my favorite players in the league Christian Wilkins now a l Vegas Raider and that was the big free agent signing there they put a lot of eggs in that basket te needed to get better the interior how many mock drafts on this channel go back and watch them from 2021 draft I think is when I started um I’ve always been wanting to give the Raiders a defensive tackle and finally in 2024 the year of Our Lord the Raiders have uh made that massive upgrade at D tackle so thank you Las Vegas for uh freeing me uh from that that chore of future mock drafts anyways let’s going on the Los Angeles Chargers this is one of the ones that’s probably the toughest one uh for me because I you know I gave their free agency a deep loss right not a whole lot of sexy moves being made there right moving on for Keen Allen for a fourth hm cutting Mike Williams uh you know not great but you keep the couple of edge rushers that’s for sure and really the big ticket free agency you know uh move you know if you want to call it that is the hiring of Jim Harbaugh also him bringing over Jesse Minter as defensive coordinator I think this is the scheme that’s going to start to take over the NFL that you know Mike McDonald Jesse Minter this Michigan style Baltimore style defense I think teams are going to start hiring from that coaching tree pretty consistently over the next coaching cyle Cycles so free AGC was more about overhauling this roster for harball and Co um I’m a little ify about the Greg Roman OC thing too but we’ll see it it’d be nice to see the Char team be able to run the football and take a little pressure off the shoulders of Justin Herbert but you know if you got Justin Herbert let him win you games uh just my opinion but um then you get to the NFL draft and that’s where I think this team on top of the hard ball higher they they crushed it like lad mcon in the second round love that Joe Al I think hey if we’re going to go off the tackle he’s the best one in this class I I think you’re building that infrastructure around Justin her it also helps Greg Roman what he wants to do on the ground uh but you’re also just trying to keep Herbert upright and uh yeah I love that alt pick I think he can make the switch to right tackle just fine lad again in the second round but also like Brennan rice Cornelius Johnson wouldn’t be shocked if those guys are contributors and they got them in the seventh round are you kidding me um so across up and down and then Junior cols in the third round yeah it was just a it was a cam hard kamani Vidal I can keep going on and on and on a lot of guys that I like the Chargers ended up getting at a great value spot so I think the draft the hard ball higher that’s timately what I’m looking at most here CU that to me is the identity for this Chargers team moving forward I am going to give the Los Angeles Chargers a B+ I was teetering between B+ and an A minus but they’re going to be the number 11 team in these rankings and just double checking yeah just one spot ahead of Cincinnati Dallas Cowboys are next up and I gave them a c minus for free agency um and then a B for the draft wasn’t the you know not every team can win the offseason right but like looking at this offensive line you it’s Tyron Smith you don’t want to bring him back okay to me it’s always been kind of clear Okay Tyler Smith’s going to play left tackle but now it sounds like maybe Tyler gon’s going to do that I don’t know I’m hoping there’s a world where Tyler Smith just plays left tackle I think he can make that transition I like the Cooper BB pick easily one of my favorite picks for the Cowboys play him at left guard teren steel over at right tackle and you build up Tyler gon over the course of a season or if teren steel struggles like he did last year you just let gon get that chance to start sooner rather than later um but you know ston Gilmore still on the mark I know he started to kind of felt like he lost the step towards the end of last season but still ultimately a pretty good football player um obviously get Trayvon digs back off of injury so maybe that won’t be the biggest net loss um Eric Kendrick’s kind of the big free signing that and like Zeke you know I guess but like yeah you lose Tony Pard I’m still kind of concerned about that backfield and um also didn’t get that Michael Gallup replacement which is the biggest thing you got CD lamb you got Brandon Cooks if he’s healthy that that’s a pretty good one-two punch um so I don’t know it just wasn’t like there wasn’t a big splash move there for Dallas and I don’t know if they necessarily needed one they’re mostly trying to keep everything intact so um all I have to say still not a bad off season there for the Dallas Cowboys but I am going to give them a C+ they’re going to check in at team number 30 uh in these rankings just ahead of the Buffalo Bills so you have Team 30 31 and 32 that’s our bottom three uh again no disrespect to those three teams I still think there’s things to be excited about but uh don’t totally kill me hope M season is alive right now ultimately I don’t think these three teams made the biggest splashes and in a lot of ways cap kind of helped the anyways we’ve already talked about these team let’s move on now New York Giants uh let’s get a B4 free agency B+ for the NFL draft and all in all going to be a B+ for the uh Giants and I think they’re just behind the Jets if my memory holds yes yes they are um but yeah the Giants you know I think Jermain luminor especially with the offive line coach coming from Vegas over to New York a lot of continuity there um the trade for Brian Burns is the big headline move they needed another Edge rush for him plus Tibido really exciting super athletic tandem there on the edge um had to pay him the money you know so that’s that’s that’s kind I think they got him for a good trade value but then you’s got to pay him so hopefully he works out um Deon singles here I can see him being a pretty solid fit John runan feels like a bit of an overpay but also you know starting offensive lineman are at at premium right now so if you can get a starter and feel confident about it okay they’re going to be relatively expensive so um I think a solid uh solid free agency you know with just enough moves Plus the big headline of Brian Burns to kind of patch in the holes where they needed it Corner still a bit of a concern for me and then carrying into the NFL draft didn’t address corner but um Malik neighbors I think could easily be this team’s number one he could be a combination of a big play threat yards after the catch weapon Number One X type of guy I think he could do a little bit of everything um and my early comps were really kind of more explosive stavon digs and now he unites with Brian dble who was there when the bills made the ston dicks trade so that’s kind of a a fun storyline and an interesting parallel um and really that’s like the head line you know that that that’s what you know um it’s that’s going to dictate the draft moving forward but I also think Tyler nuban in the second round you know I think uh Shane Bowen coming over as the DC he had Kevin Byer in Tennessee that was one that made a lot of sense and now they got that true overthe top free safety especially considering Xavier mckin is gone played a lot of really good free safety for the Giants need to replace that I think uh Tyler Newman’s a step in the right direction so all considered solid offseason there for the Giants this is going to write on the shoulders though of uh Daniel Jones and then hey maybe we’ll see what happens with Drew lock little bit we got see last year there’s maybe there’s something there maybe there’s something there anyways we’re on to the NFC East so we’re continuing with the NFC East sorry we already in it uh the Philadelphia Eagles the next team we’re going to talk about B+ for free agency I ultimately give them uh an a for the NFL draft and they’re going to have an A minus they’re going to be the number two team on this that’s right we only have one team that I gave an a for their free agent or their entire offseason but the Philadelphia Eagles I mean freeny just a bunch of smart moves whether it’s Matt Hennessy whether it’s you know swapping out like Bryce Huff in and then yeah you know um um or uh yeah yeah Bryce Huff in and I’m I’m skiing on the name that’s now a jet but Bry Huff the concern about him leaving the Jets was like oh he’s always been in this rotation well the Eagles are the team at the Forefront of that like you’re not going to play a full-time stap share more than likely if you play Edge or into your defensive line if you play in the D line you’re going to be in some sort of rotation in Philadelphia so Hoff made a the total amount of sense uh bringing back Brandon Graham and there’s some things you can’t control like Fletcher Cox Jason Kelce retiring you know that’s that’s out of your control but then you’re bringing to saquon Barkley That’s within your control and him behind that offensive line with a mobile quarterback next to him he’s going to put up some huge rushing numbers I’m really curious about his touchdown total this year for Fantasy concerns um and then that number three receiver spot felt like they just kind of put a couple eggs in a couple of different baskets maybe it’s Devonte Parker maybe it’s Paris Campbell you know you can kind of spread them across and and figure out what you want uh to do there but just kind of a solid free agency with barkeley kind of being the headline of it but then just kind of patched up these rosters and trying to fill the void left by you know Kelce and and uh Fletcher Cox with a couple other moves in there as well I also think the Vic vano DC hire like he was there when they made it to the Super Bowl a couple years ago this ultimately could play out a little bit better chy Garner Johnson’s also a great fit for that one to talk about that free agent signing that was another big one in the mix as well and then you get to the draft and you know damn if how rosan doesn’t do it every single year one of my favorite draft classes I just wait for good football players to fall right in their lap case in point quinon Mitch Cooper deene I think two guys that are unbelievable fits Vic vango’s defense and uh I think you know if you’re just let’s just say they’re running quarters just Simplicity of it slle plus Mitchell on the outside and then those inner two you know uh fourths being Chanty gner Johnson and Cooper jeene like that’s nasty that is absolutely filthy so love that jayx hun if there was a place where I could like drop him to where I feel the best about his landing spot it’s the Philadelphia Eagles coaching up that trench play and he’s going to be in a rotation uh so don’t need him to be an immediate impact starter right away like I just love that um and he Smith’s an interesting third receiver option got some more offensive line depth uh with a dude from NC State with their last pick also Johnny Wilson like I’ve been on the Johnny Wilson should be receiver train and maybe he is the receiver three but maybe they bulk him up and move him to receiver or tight end two right and uh you let Godard be the inline guy the guy you lean in as a blocker and then Wilson just kind of becomes athletic tight end to just a little bit off the line of scrimmage you take advantage of that size just got to bulk him up a little bit that’s really that’s something I’m keep my eyes on I I kind of hope they keep him a receiver just because I want to see that plus Brown and uh Devonte Smith but he might be their tight end too at the same time and that could be kind of spicy as well let’s go on the Washington commanders I gave their freeny and their NFL draft an A minus ultimately it wasn’t anything that was like super sexy to me um but nevertheless like I just think one you talk about a new owner I think Dan Quinn’s a solid hire as the head coach they they could have gone for a higher ceiling but Ben Johnson ultimately decides I’m good Mike McDonald gets you know uh poached by the Seattle Seahawks they up the offer at the last second um that would have been like that to me would have been like a slam dunk higher but Dan quin’s not a bad you know consultation prize you know um or consolation prize excuse me I don’t know why I said consultation but um been a head coach before been to a Super Bowl you know like comes with a lot of stability um Cliff King’s very you know we’ll see about that we’ll see we’ll see what lessons he’s learned from uh Arizona but nevertheless also a guy who’s been in this role been in this spot and uh in a lot of ways really makes a lot of sense for Jen Daniels in that fit and ultim I would have gone Drake May uh and there’s a couple things like you look at this off scen like I would have done this a little different I would have done this a little different but you look at last year’s roster this year’s roster last year’s coaching staff this year’s coaching staff it’s hard not to like across the board feel better about the commanders you know freeny was kind of filled with patching up the old line with a little move here a little move there and then also bringing in you know guys that fit what Dan Quinn wants to do bringing in a veteran like Bobby Wagner too also makes a lot of sense their draft again I would have gone Dr pay but then you get Johnny Newton another one of these guys that that dude’s a second rounder you kidding me no he’s a first rounder get out of here Mike Sam still we’ll see him and Quan Martin but Juan Martin ultimately might be their cam curl replacement that’s that’s kind of the one free agency thing where I’m like you didn’t want to bring him back felt like he was a good player um but you know Quan Martin Mike S still we’ll see how that plays out there um and then uh uh one more pick oh Brandon Coleman I think he could be he’ll either be a starter over algar ready at left guard or maybe they give him the shot to start at left tackle right away another spot where they need to get better but yeah just smart moves sound moves I don’t honestly I don’t think there’s any one home run in there Commander fans are hoping that’s Jane Daniels and if you know time shows that it is then this becomes an A+ for sure but it’s just solid move decent upgrade pretty solid upgrade there across the board and then plus the stability of a new coaching staff and a new owner hopefully sending this team in a New Direction and and really got in this new first year of a a whole new brand a whole new image for this franchise I don’t know if you really want to break the bank and you know sign Albert Haynesworth to $100 million contract sign a late Deion Sanders that that’s kind of that’s kind of the Dan Snider way of doing things so they’re taking this slow they’re kind of doing this across the board trying to patch up all the holes that are there this was a team that needed a lot of overhaul I think the the commanders did a lot of that work this offseason I think next offseason is where this team could get really really interesting all right let’s get on to the NFC North I will waste no one’s time Chicago Bears are the only team I gave a full A2 um and I mean that’s probably going to be a little controversial But ultimately like once ke Williams is the pick at you know first overall like it’s a new era it’s it’s turning a very exciting page in the future of the Chicago Bears but then it’s Keenan Allen for a fourth round pick it’s Kevin byard replacing Eddie Jackson hard not to be excited about that especially considering Jackson just been kind of up and down feels like he hasn’t been a perfect fit for Eber flu then you get you know you could count Montes sweat in this because it was a second round pick you can throw him in there you you don’t have to it doesn’t really matter to me Jaylen Johnson resigning that’s a big one he was playing some great football for E flu all last year and then continue with the NFL draft Romo dun Falls in your lap at nine so now you have this insane Trio verser receivers around um Caleb Williams speaking of Caleb Williams infrastructure Shane walren that that might be as big of an OC jump other than the Pittsburgh Steelers because Matt Canada is a fraud but going from L getsy to my opinion to chain Walder that’s a huge leap there and it’s obviously a great scheme fit there for Caleb Williams as well um and there wasn’t a whole lot of picks but even like an Austin Booker in the fifth round like are you kidding me yeah I feel like the Bears did everything they needed to this offseason and obviously they have the advantage of like oh we have the number one overall pick given to us by Carolina but you know sometimes sometimes it takes a little bit of luck sometimes you need that and ultimately they get Caleb Williams because of that and then they you know they don’t say oh okay well we’ve done our offensive pick let’s not go that direction at nine and then you know again Ryan Bates and fre just a bunch of these smart little moves across the board that just kind of patch up and fill in the holes on that roster and just kind of put a Caleb Williams into a really solid ecosystem while also keeping some of those defensive pieces uh there as well and as long as I hear Matty brus is calling plays in the defensive side I think they’ve got the right two play callers now uh in place there for Chicago so let me know uh I think bear fans will be excited about it but Eagles Houston Washington fans let me know do you think that uh Chicago should be up there do you guys think your team should be up there in the a range too I I’m open to that discussion down below all right let’s get on to the Detroit Lions now another team that I think had a great uh offseason B+ for free agency and I gave their NFL draft an a uh and ultimately they’re going to get an A minus and be the number six team on these rankings which I believe is just ahead of Indianapolis yes it is uh but you look at the free agency period of like Marcus dport one year low you know like there’s some boom there but you know like there’s not a whole lot of bus because it’s a one-year contract Carlton Davis same thing we’re like hopefully he gets back on track if he doesn’t you let him walk next offseason and then bring it back in Emanuel Mosley another another kind of one of those movies that kind of fits in that image Graham glass now okay cool there’s one of our two guard spots filled and we’ll let um Jonah Jackson get paid big money by the Rams that’s fine um you know the golf extension like I’ll be honest I’m not crazy about him making $50 million a year like gol to me is good not great right now he’s making great money you know so we’ll see what that does for the salary cap but that being said Brad Holmes keeps knocking it out of the freaking park with the NFL draft so it might not matter because they might always just have cheap young Talent like tearing on Arnold falling into their lap at 24 are you serious and then they’re saying hey well Carlson Davis might not be good this year we might let him walk we still need another Corner Andis R Jr fits with what they want to do kind of has that kneecapping you know kneecap biting mentality I know it’s so lazy to say but I feel like he’s a really solid culture fit there also just being a sound football player as good of a pure football player you’re going to find really on the board at 60 uh in the NFL draft so there’s a potential answer there at outside corner and uh and it kind of keeps going on and on and on Brad Holmes just continues to knock out of the park with Makai wingo and then Christian mahogany in the sixth round dude when you get into third and Longs alen mcneel next to Wingo could be an absolute problem and then mahogany I think is starting in next year’s time for Kevin zitler after they let him walk free he yeah just Brad Holmes the process is just impeccable I think the free agency was really really solid with a lot of high upset plays but the bust really isn’t there factoring into the equation so yeah the Li’s just another great offseason there in Detroit Greenway Packers are up next I gave their free agency a B I gave their NFL draft a B+ and ultimately their free agency grade is going to be a B+ they’re going to be the number 17 team which I think is just behind the Jets but we talk about the Green Bay Packers freeny it’s swapping out Aon Jones for Josh Jacobs I I think ultimately you’re kind of getting Jones a few years ago just you know the younger version of it you know again so they’re kind of resetting the clock on that ping running back window which I don’t mind whatsoever um I think Josh Jacobs has has really found his stride and turned into what we were hoping he’d be coming out of b um and then Xavier mckin like that’s that’s the big move and that and then a change of defensive coordinator like Joe Barry had to go I don’t know necessarily what Jeff hle is going to do but it’s hard to imagine it’s going to be as soft and as conservative as Joe Barry was playing it and that kind of kept teams in games for more than they should be against the Packers um to Ste it up down the down the stretch last year I’ll give him that but he was also the DC for the winless lion so like how he got another DC job in that same division it’s kind of wild anyways xer mckin is a huge upgrade at safety which they absolutely needed they kept G Alexander felt like he really wanted to leave Midway through last year but they were able to kind of repair that um relationship then he get to the nfield draft Jordan Morgan I think he just play mcard I’m feeling confident about that um and and then you know kind of even further down the board I feel like I always love this team and and their later picks like I always just feel like I love what guda is thinking on days two and days three um and I think Adrian Cooper this is one of the places that he could go and I feel really optimistic about his upside because they got Quay Walker to be more NFL ready pretty soon than I thought was possible I think they could do the same thing with edrian Cooper um they also get Javon Bullard this was one of like my dream like laning spots slot corner to this team like oh Javon Bullard please make it happen he’s going to be huge reinforcements in the Run game while also being a if they’re going to play Man coverage he’s going to be sticky there in the nickel in that spot make everyone else look that much better and he’ll take away a lot of throws over the middle of the field so really like what the Packers did and uh both from the coaching staff and then retooling the roster a little bit man the NFC North is going to be an absolute force to be reckoned with let me just double check the grade really quick with where they are they’re actually yeah they’re supposed to be right behind the Jets so they are in the perfect location um let’s move on now to talk about the Minnesota Vikings B for free agency B for the NFL draft B for the overall grade they’re going to slot in as team number 20 four in these rankings just ahead of the Jacksonville Jaguars um actually ahead of the Cleveland Browns as well um but for Minnesota you know like Jonathan grard I’m really excited really I look at Brian Flores last year and he would have to show eight and either send eight and drop three and hope you get the immediate pressure or he’d show eight only Rush three everyone else drops back and you’re just playing this mind game with the quarterback forcing him to make a decision forcing them to read the pressure but I felt like eventually got figured out and uh that’s a little tough not really the spot where you want to be uh so then this free agency they put in the investment to Andrew van GLE JN the grard and then fast forwarding a little bit the NFL draft D Turner they have given Brian Flores the horses that he needs to be able to generate pressure with four man up front they just could not do that last season um so I think that’s that’s a huge huge huge huge huge upgrade there for this Minnesota defense um I also think like Kyrie Jackson in the fourth round it’s a really solid value could totally see him being a Flores esque type of corner um and then uh actually they’re also ahead of the Miami Dolphins apologies uh but just behind Tennessee uh but then danra this is going to come down to JJ mcarthy JJ McCarthy is ultimately going to be the deciding factor I could see a world where he maybe is a little less accurate a little less you know of an overall quality passer like Kur cousins you know the ability to touch and be super accurate high level processor you know maybe JJ gets there but I also think he brings more elusiveness and escapability I actually have a buddy one of my best friends JT who’s on the hurry up offense show our betting show during the season uh he’s a huge Vikings fan and uh in a lot of ways I could see this playing out kind of like py to garolo and San Francisco where it’s like pery does a lot of the same things that garoppo did but then when a play breaks down he has more ability to extend a play the athleticism to break the pocket make something crazy backyard football happen I think the same could be true here about JJ McCarthy and that’s what he bran to the offense that Kirk couldn’t so I’m really especially considering you know like they’ve had some inter offensive line well still kind of looking at that spot in the roster I’m not wowed by it hopefully they bring back do Ryner um but nevertheless because of that McCarthy might ultimately be kind of that that next step okay the play the plays broken down it’s your world I feel a little bit better about what McCarthy and his athleticism might be able to do in that spot versus Kurt Cousins uh but not a whole lot of draft picks too so that that makes a little bit tough but they’re going to be right there in the B category it’s going to come down to JJ McCarthy and what KOC can get out of them that’s going to be the that’s going to be the determining Factor when we revisit this draft in a few years time the Atlanta Falcons are up next this is going to be one where this was this is a tough one but I think I’m going to surprise people with where I put them but fre I’m going to give M A you got Kur cousins this team was a quarterback away they needed a sizable upgrade there they did it so like to me that was like that’s that’s the move that that kind of solidifies this uh in and of itself uh in my opinion but also Darnell money that’s a huge ad really like that uh because I think he’s a great compliment for Drake London also Rond Del Moore for uh Desmond Ritter swap one you don’t really want Ritter there considering he just lost the job but Ronda Moore is a different type of receiver yards have the catch guy also want to talk about Raheem Morris love that hire I really didn’t see it coming I thought bill belich was gonna get his way but I’m honestly kind of glad they went the Raheem Morris round and then you bring in Zach Robinson that McVey tree is the off to me that makes so much sense giving the weapons they have and again it’s a great fit for Kerr cousins and then we get the an ofl draft and I’m going to give him a seed like everyone’s going to have a problem with Michael penck pick but when you frame this offseason as they got their quarterback for the immediate future and for the distant future how can you be upset about this and they’re both perfect scheme fits this whole draft cycle I was saying dude Michael penck and a McVey offense is going to be lethal Rams take him in the second you know like find a way to make that happen um uh or like you know Atlanta trade back or uh I’m trying to think of some Minnesota that was one of the atantic spots I was like dude if he goes to Minnesota that’s going to be kind of lethal lowkey but it’s Atlanta nobody saw that coming so there’s a lot of shock Factor there and I get it they paid a lot of money to Kirk Cousins but you look at the guarantees it’s basically a two-year deal and I think Kirk for two years penics there after and for Kirk like I hate that that that pick turned into the oh how does Kirk cousins feel when Michael Michael pck is only going to get drafted one time he waited a long time in his college career to get to that moment but anyways that’s another point for another day nevertheless Kirk Cousins is all about making the money and hitting free agency and getting his guarantees this dude in two years is going to become a free agent and get a bag from some other team as long as he stays healthy and plays good football bounces back from the ailles if he does that he’s going to get under bag in two offseasons he’s going be just fine so in a lot of ways like I think Atlanta got their quarterback for the next two and the guy to eventually be a great scheme fit long term so love the head coaching hire love the OC uh ultimately they got the quarterback position feels like they got it solved for the next 10 plus years in my opinion Darnell Mooney love that even the rest of their draft like I didn’t love rukoro but then Brandon Doras that kind of almost makes up for it two kind of tweeners I’m really interested to see how Morris is going to use those guys uh brilin tce felt like he lost a lot of value when he’s just hashtag a good football player watch the tape see the motor that’s going to translate to the next level um and it’s just going to come down to that number two Corner Spot I almost wonder if they could be a team that’s kind of still lurking on the market for a Gilmore for an adori Jackson someone of that uh you know that level uh so all in all I I I can’t be super negative here to the Atlanta Falcons I’m going to give them a B+ believe it or not they’re going to be team number 18 this is going to probably piss off a ton of Giants fans because Giants are there at 19 they didn’t draft a you know they a lot ofs maybe should have drafted a quarterback depends on how you feel about Daniel Jones versus the Falcons I got two of them but anyways going to be a fun discussion to talk about down below Carolina Panthers are up next uh B minus for free agency and then a B for the draft free agency it’s about those guards uh and then definitively winning the Deontay Johnson trade like I said earlier to me like Dante Jackson’s nowhere near the caliber player that Deontay is this te needed a separator on the outside and that’s what they got also I’m excited about this Dave Canalis offense do he is talking up Bryce young like he’s he’s got me this close to really buying into it like it is uh it’s kind of a fun uh fun idea considering the work he’s done with Gino and now Baker last season um but yeah those guards Damien Lewis Robert hunt trying for a smaller quarterback you got to keep that clean pocket it’s like um when the Cardinal signed Rodney Hudson right at the kind of peak or towards the end of his Peak but he was still like the best pass protecting Center in football and it was because yeah they have like a 59 and a half 510 quarterback they need a clean pocket so Ronnie Hudson makes a lot of sense feels like that’s kind of what the uh the Panthers are trying to do here feel like they can still use an upgrade at Center but we’ll kind of gloss over that for the time being um this Brian Burns trade has been kind of brewing for a while so it felt like it was just about time especially with kind of a new regime coming in so um wish they could have got more Capital out of it but ultimately that’s kind of out of their hands it was something that was brewing for a long time and it was just a matter of time before it happened J je I think could be a solid football player for them too um uh Jordan Fuller coming in Jon Clowney one of the later free agent signings I think could actually be a really solid starter for them in Edge where they definitely need some upgrades DJ wam another guy that maybe is a solid player for them more excited about the uh the K uh excuse me the jvon Clowney of that uh equation but nevertheless I going to give the Carolina Panthers a b they’re going to slide in at team number 23 which I believe is just behind Miami yes uh no it’s just behind Minnesota and then Miami is there at 24 uh let’s get on to the New Orleans States uh it’s going to be C Min for free agency B+ for the NFL draft a lot of that is like getting Spen Rattler in the fifth round I mean I think Derek Car played better second half last year than he did first half but he had some bumpy roads like Rattler and a d with Chris alve with Rashid G like and a Shanahan offense with their new OC clink kuia coming over I’m intrigued by that kux also a big part of this equation I feel like they needed to revamp that play calling system like the the the Shawn Payton disciple just wasn’t living up to Shawn Payton standard so it was time to make a change there and Dennis Allen needs to keep his job so I think that was a decent hire there uh they’re going to roll with Carr once again um and uh you know receivers is going to be an interesting one you know you bring in Cedric Wilson I think he’s a solid football player but who’s the real Michael Thomas uh replacement is it at Perry there might be some upside for that uh you resign Tyron math you you obiously moving on from um uh the other Marcus may but um ultim I think bringing back Matthews probably the better of the almost certainly the better of those two guys and the more important piece um extending to Mario Davis signing Willie gay is a player that I really like so just a couple of really smart moves in there and you get to the draft and uh it’s t fanga as a replacement potentially for Ryan Ram we’ll figure out what they want to do there with him Penning and ramjack all still on the roster um and then you again get to that uh defensive Rattler pick and it’s like okay let’s see where this goes I think that could be a competition sooner rather than later one last thing I want to throw out there to chase young signing I think there’s some upside there for a team that’s getting a little old at Edge Granderson plus young could that be the tandem for the next couple years Cam Jordan starting to get up there in age like I think that Trio ultimately could be what makes it uh kind of gets this team back on track there at that spot feels like they’ve been a little underwhelming that position last couple of Seasons but I’m going to give the New Orleans Saints a b and they’re going to check in at number 28 on these r Rings next up is the Tampa Bay Buccaneers um Liam Cohen I think that’s a solid offensive coordinator replacement just want to talk about that real quick um Todd BS keeps his job I’m going to give them a B for free agency B+ for the NFL draft uh free agency another team that was is really focused on keeping their guys Antoine Winfield Jr Mike Evans Baker Mayfield obviously so that’s solid then you get to the draft Grant Barton I think could be an immediate player for them I was higher on brazwell especially in a 34 defense feel like he’s just now kind of coming into his own and that body type playing that type of role came out of high school was a fourth three guy transition to 34 I think he’s going to be good in a couple years time um and then also um overhaul at corner with Carlson Davis Gone But ultimately like him and Jamal Dean both kind of disappointing last year kind of two of the same players too so uh revamping that spot is probably a good idea as well but ultimately pretty solid offseason there for Tampa Bay and they’re going to get a B from me as well they’re going to slot in as team number 20 yes so just ahead of the Tennessee Titans solid offseason there in Tampa then we get to the Arizona Cardinals give their freeny of B and I say that there wasn’t a whole lot of sexy moves like Jonah Williams I guess you know like not a whole lot that was super sexy there but this is a team that’s building through the draft so freeny to me is more like did you not get ahead of yourself did you not overextend and get over zealous and like do something you didn’t need to do just yet and did you just take it slow and Ste and built the draft that they did this off season I think the draft they had a ton of picks I didn’t love each and every one of them but it was one of my top three favorite drafts because you know Elijah Jones plus Max Melton that could be a nasty tanm on the outside Marvin Harrison Jr makes that entire receiving receiver room kind of fall into place uh Darius Williams feels like a guy that Jonathan gon’s going to move all over the place get a ton of use out of because of that so it is going to be an A minus off is the number five uh that I’m going to give out the Arizona Cardinals one spot ahead of the Detroit Lions Los Angeles Rams going to be a B+ for the draft and for free agency they beefed up that offensive line with Kevin doson as well as Jonah Jackson and also like low cost lowrisk signings cuz it’s you know one-year deals for guys like Trey white uh so they kind of get to best at quarterback where I think they could definitely get better um with a guy like you know Trey white and also bringing back Darius Williams you know he’s going to be a continuity fit there as well um just a lot of really smart moves there from the Los Angeles Rams um and then who was the oh Cam curl one to make note of Cam curl because I think him and then getting into the draft now him and Cam kinchin and again a quarter heavy quarter heavy defense see that five times fast are great scheme fits I think those guys could have a ton of success in that defense there was a change in defensive coordinator but they hired from within so I expect to be relatively the same you can’t control Aaron Donald retiring but this draft and you know what’s amazing I said in my you know draft recap grades I was like it feels like they understand they’re going have to rebuild through the Aggregate and then Jordan Rodrigo the athletic is getting quotes from The Lamb Rams coaching staff seeing the exact same thing there’s not another Aaron Don on this class but can we pick it up with some from Braden Fisk some from uh Jared verse some year two Byron young uh and to replace him that run stopping production brings boom Tyler Davis in the sixth round pick I think that was a really really solid value so just a lot of things for the draft that they’re trying to replace Aaron dos with the Aggregate and I think they did as good a job as you’re really going to find uh out there so Rams really really sound off season um I’m going to give them a B+ as well and I think they’re just one spot ahead of the Cincinnati Bangals actually they’re one spot behind the Bengals as well as the Kansas City Chiefs apologies but they’re all kind of right there in this you know B+ really solid off season um it’s going to the San Francisco 49ers another team I think really knocked out of the park draft I gave him an a Frey I gave him a b you move you lose Eric Armstead but you bring back you know John Feliciano you bring back colon McKim guys who’ve been solid started for you on that offensive line mivit isn’t isn’t special but like capable you just don’t want to create a big hold there um I think Leonard Floyd is a really interesting fit for them your turr Matos want to see what they get out of him too so a couple of names there where it’s like let’s see where this goes um they also keep brand iuk and Deo Samuel as at the time of this recording um and then the NFL draft dude I think they just knocked that one out of the park Ricky piol fantas fantastic scheme fit Renardo green him plus charvarius Ward if you’re going to play more man coverage that pass rush is going to be getting home with those two guys playing on the outside um and then also Dominic puny I think that’s an upgrade over Aaron banks at left guard um Isaac Reno perfect West ghost you know wide Zone scheme fit drop him into San Francisco and finally didn’t reach on a running back in the second round for no reason gendo Falls right in the lap perfect scheme fit there love what San Francisco did throughout the entire NFL draft one of my top five favorite drafts of this year they going to get an A minus and they will slide in as the number 10 team I believe that is just behind Indianapolis uh that’s behind Pittsburgh and San Francisco uh or excuse me Baltimore but nonetheless still an A minus uh then we get to our final team the Seattle Seahawks it’s going to be a c for free agency just didn’t do a whole whole lot probably could be like a B minus if you’re you know really weighing heavily on the Mike McDonald higher I am but the rest of free agency was just kind of you know me you know they did they they participated lard Williams you kind of gave up that second rounder so I felt like they were kind of pigeon hold into that move but he is a super flexible and versatile guy so I do think Mike McDonald’s going to get a lot out of him um Sam how I think that’s a solid you know kind of buy into a potential Gino Smith replacement for relatively cheap don’t mind that at all Jerome Baker I think is a solid player uh I’ve never really understood why he continues to Bounce Around The League uh so I like I like Baker a good bit uh I think George fan is a swing tackle like that too Tyrell dots another off ball linebacker played some good football late in the year for the bills him plus Baker can see world where these two guys work out just fine at offb linebacker for Mike McDonald then they draft I give it a B+ man big Christian Haynes guy they got him at 81 he was player like 40 on my big board and then Byron Murphy was a blue uh just outside the Blue Chip range my top defensive player in this class I I love Byron Murphy so those two picks alone to me like that that’s going to get him at least a b um but then I’m I’m intrigued by those two Auburn Corners they take right like uh Pritchett and then uh DJ James like I I’m curious is it just depth and they like the value there or are they like saying yeah Tariq wallen’s not really what we’re trying to do here so I wonder what they end up doing with Tariq Wen could be a name that gets m somewhere during training camp during the offseason at the trade deadline I don’t know just something I’m trying to monitor there but nevertheless I also like the value where they got those uh those Auburn Corners so Seattle all in all their free agent or their allseason grade is going to be a b they’re going to slot in at team number 26 if I could just move them I finally do uh they’re going to be just ahead of these two squads uh there yep awesome and that is going to do it for my 2024 NFL offseason C you can see all 32 take a screenshot let me know what you If this list is about offseason grades, what about the hiring of Mike McDonald for the Seahawks? They also got Leonard Williams from the Giants for a 2nd rnd pick. This wasn't included in your Seahawks "B" grade.
