let’s start the morning with talking about the caran Eagles did you have a game on the weekend yes morning boys yeah now we had a game Friday night and I’ll tell you what we were short couple of numbers too we were down on troops we um had a couple of boys injured during the week um with some school footies so uh yeah it’s um yeah it’s a little bit difficult with with a junior footy um for boys and girls obviously you know we got kids running around they get they hurt thems themselves at school they hurt them themselves at home they get sick and they miss out so yeah challenging different challenges to the uh to the Topline stuff in the NRL but all good fun uh injuries now I I as a as you know cam came on I thought we’ll talk to cam about the injuries but Cameron never got injured so really he’s got no he’s got no experience he talk about hamr like you didn’t miss a game have hamstrings did you have hamstrings Cameron I I don’t think so no I’ve got no cars I know that NOS never did a peck no no R bicep no no none of the above no um it’s concerning though isn’t it but the amount of injuries that we’ve picked up over the last what four night yeah um and then across this weekend we’ve already seen what is it three or four hamstrings you know so um and a couple of big ones of course particularly for for New South Wales fans with Tommy turbo and Nathan cley boys we got to start talking about it we’re only a couple weeks away Cameron’s not involved in this year but Cameron we we spoke to Cory Parker and Pat Welsh earlier this morning and Cory started off with that he started with the line on New South Wales you know you yous got together over the weekend you guys all had a zoom chat all Queensland had a zoom chat this is the line we’re trying out as of today CLE you know there under the radar as a rugby league fan um it’s a shame to see those boys true inj because you want you want the best players involved in in um the origin series but as a as a queenslander look you’re looking for every opportunity you can to well we we can talk about you yeah we we can talk about this this year where neither of us are involved in or so um right here so Nathan clear let’s say he’s gone so I’m I’m let’s say he’s out the picture Al together you got Mitch Moses who hasn’t played for six weeks he’s the incumbent he’ll come back I think he’s going to play at Magic ground next uh this weekend and you’ve got Nick Alin and you’ve got you’ve got Cody Walker who almost ruled himself out and said look I’m just not playing good enough I I don’t expect to be picked um and then you got Jerome Lis so he’s sort of got three players throwing Matt Burton as a bit of an outsider to to grab the six jumper but SMY at the moment who would you go with you got Moses Hines Lui probably the three well who would be well well I think I I think Nick oh hind has to go in there doesn’t he he’s playing seven or six well that’s the thing like depending on who who else they throw in there with him right I just think I just think he’s the guy that he’s been playing the most consistent football out of all of them you think about um you know Mitch Moses he’s been out now for what is it four weeks five weeks maybe um hasn’t played in quite some time so you you he’s going to be coming into an origin game a first up origin game you know a little bit underdone there’s only two weekends left until these teams are announced so I think someone like niiko Hines he’s he’s got the runs on the board he’s he’s got a lot of time under his belt and he’s and his team’s on top so he’s doing something right as a number seven at that footy Club I know he missed the game on the weekend with I think he had Cal tightness but um you know I think he he would be the the obvious choice to be in there um and I think if he goes in I think he does go in as a seven um and then outside of that is it you know is it Jerome L well who which way are you goingand Brandy are you strong on Moses only has to get say one game under his belt prove his Fitness and he’s in uh yeah I’d like to see him play two so if he plays magic round and next weekend I I think Mitch is the type of player and he’s and he’s been there before so uh I I I would I would Nelly go with Mitch Moses as halfback and Nick Alin as 5’8 yeah okay on the on the text what about Luke Ki what about Luke Ki 184 puts on the text boys why not Luke Ki is he in the mix one origin game no I don’t think no not in front of those other players no and I know he’s playing some pretty good footy as well at the moment and the The Roosters are up and about but um yeah I think nicoo at least goes in there and and Brandy I don’t mind that idea like if he goes in and plays six and and you got Moses as seven he’s played that role before Nico or he’s played he played plenty of games as a six like when time the melbour storm and exactly he’s fullback he’s fullback work allows him yeah he can play like a running six that’s right yeah all right on the text the league nut says good a fell fellas Billy Slater the sniper has been busy taking out the enemy one by one we need to take Slater out before you lose everyone and while we’re at it just take out the bunker too so thank you leag nut for that text just solving uh the world problem I think if Nathan clear was available i’ I’d go Jerome L but um I think with out clearly um I might I’d Plum for for Moses and Hines as long as as long as Moses gets through the next couple of games yeah I I’ll ask you a question um Manley without Tom trovich um and their for is going shy with Tom trovich the last few weeks I’ve been really underwhelmed by Manley certainly at home when they LED CRA 20 n even when they got the 20 N I didn’t think they were playing that well and now they’ve lost again but without Tom trovich where’s their season headed if they were out without him for a good chunk and let let’s say it’s the next six seven weeks five games are you worried about Manley oh absolutely I think if you look at their last couple of games vosy though that’s there’s some worrying signs and as you mentioned like both sides uh well both times in those those two rounds Tom has been playing so they gave up the 20po lead against the Raiders and then last week they were up I think it was up they were up 164 against the Dolphins so when you’re in a position like that with the caliber of players that you do have in your footy side you need to be able to you know close those games out but they’ they failed to do so in consecutive weeks so that’s that’s got to be a worrying sign for um Anthony seabol as coach to to find out exactly what’s going on there why why is it that they’re that they’re not being able to finish these games off why are they just fading out of these matches so it makes it harder now without Tom like we’ve seen over the past three seasons when he’s gone down with injury that they’re a completely different side I I’d suggest Ruben Garrick would go back to fullback um and they a reshuffle in the backline and you know Ruben Garrick’s he’s a wonderful player I love watching Ruben Garrick play he’s Ultra consistent but when it gets down to the big games depending on how bad Turbo’s hamstring is like if he’s missing you know five or six matches that’s a that’s a big blow now what about okay yeah what about the teams the streaks Brandy what about the drafts any of these teams old canvas you two BLS Cowboys lost their last five Warriors lost their last four tigers lost their last six souths lost their last four any of those that you would be supremely confident that they will turn their Seasons around Brandy any of those four no no not not not with the injury depending on what happens with Shawn Johnson if and Shawn Johnson’s form over the last month has been very scratchy and they they rely so much on him I you know he’s I think he’s their most important player certainly with the ball um I I know they’ve got Wan who’s very good out a dummy half and and Adam foror Blake does take them for and that’s that’s important but I still if Johnson’s not there dictating and depending on how bad that Peck is they’ve they’ve got no one left Harris D’s out for for another three weeks three or four weeks um you’ve got the the broken leg for meta not sure when he’s due back uh they’ve got tamari Martin who’s who’s doing nothing I barely noticed tamari Martin on the field so now tamari Martin will be the back if Johnson is out he’ll definitely be out for this round if he’s out for an extended period I I I don’t see the Warriors turning around what’s happened to them over the last month it’s it’s gone down the down the tube your last 10 bucks Cameron you’re down to your last $10 you want to put it on any one of those cowboys Warriors Tigers South to turn their season around and to to to make top eight yeah um looking at rosters it’s got to be the Cowboys it it has to be the Cowboys like given what what they’re able to produce with the football we we’ve seen already this year like what they’ve been able to produce but they they just they need to find some enthusiasm some life like that that game yesterday like they they started the game like quite well like it was it was like the first you know the opening five or six minutes um you know they looked like they were there for the fight but after after that sort of six-minute period had finished they they were flat flat they just at and at times in that game and you know I was there I called the game live and they they just didn’t look interested comparing that to the opposition like in the Titans who who got out to a 20 point it was 20 n at half time like they they look like they they were full of energy they were full of enthusiasm they wanted to be there and wanted to win that game and and it took some injuries to you know some key players of the Titans like Kieran foren went off with the hamstring issue um AJ Bri groin um I think they lost a couple of other players as well which allowed the Cowboys to fight back and and nearly Jag a victory at the death of the game but they just I I don’t I don’t I’m not too sure what’s happening with the Cowboys at the moment that’s that’s five in a row that they’ve lost the the last victory they had was against the Titans in round five and they just Brandy they just they they they were energy didn’t they yeah there was no Focus there was no they looked they looked sluggish with the ball they they on the back foot defensively um you know Todd pton signed a long-term deal with the Cowboys yeah but and and you keep pointing to the roster and that’s that’s true and I said that yeser I said well can the Cowboys lift themselves at half time I said well when you look at their side and they only got through 11 sets in the first half I thought well if possession swings around they are a team that can score points and score them quickly yeah but you you need more than that to compete throughout the season and they’ve got they’ve got nothing at the moment like they haven’t they they have been so disappointing and I would I’d look at that team and say well they’ve still got you know I’ve had a couple of players Miss through injury but it’s not a massive injury concern still got rubben cter he’s he’s been there has been there all season there’s there’s got to beu Robson plays every minute if the coach can’t lift them and get them to play with some sort of intensity well there could be problems at we don’t know about going on up there in Townsville but I think if if if those when those Cowboys players get home today or if they got home last night and they get a chance to watch that game I think they need to look at their teammate Griffin name I think he was one guy really had a go yesterday like every time he ran the ball he ran it with with a little bit of intent a bit of Venom like he was trying to make a difference now I know at different stages you know drink water had a good run late in the game where he picked up a ball close to the line and ran 50 m fa Holmes had a couple of strong carries but you know like they they were few and far between whereas I thought Griffin NE every time he had a chance to carry the ball or make a tackle he was trying to like make a difference for his footy side so if all of those Cowboys players you know sort of review that game and look back and go well if we all go out and play like he did you know they’d be winning more games than they than they’d lose I’ll tell you that all right throw a few texts at you um boys cam uh he’s left field from 99 he says why not the old Tigers combination of Moses and Brooks any chance Luke Brooks state of origin he’s playing 5’8 for Manley Moses was halfback he’d go oh no no okay he’s had some good moments for for Manley but but not great no not great no uh morning fellas can any of you explain to me how there was no penalty or report for the tackle that injured sha Johnson looks to me like a clear chicken wing says Kane now that that we may find that today there may be a charge today maybe I think there probably will be cuz there was a little bit extra sort of mayonnaise on the effort to to bend bend the arm back well well he got him in an awkward position and he got his arm and then there was that just that little bit of a I’ll give that a little bit more and and that’s where Johnson picked up the the peck injury we’ll find out how serious that is today did anyone see this cam I I I know you covered for footy Dolphins Eagles Titans C but did you watch any boxing boys no one to two um toita Pango Jr wanted to return to Footy he was demolished in 70 seconds on the weekend yes is that right I’ve seen a I’ve seen a little clip of it last night yeah not not good viewing for junior fans BL never want to fight that got him too never want to fight got him with just got him with a like a real just a little short sort of left hook yeah wow and it was all over all right here’s question for you Cameron um uh Cameron boys from what you’ve seen from the dogs the Bulldogs and the rest of the table do you see them making the top eight for how they played against the Panthers they pretty good I said at the end penth is Everest and the Bulldogs have got to base camp like there’s a long way to go from Bas Camp to the top of Everest but at least they’re on the climb is that fair Comet the Bulldog yeah look I I love the the thing that I’ve liked about the Bulldogs over the last few weeks is like the way like their attitude towards their footy like they’re playing pretty tough and you know they’ve got those style of players that Cameron Calo was recruited to that footy Club they they don’t mind getting into armed wrestles they don’t mind playing some of the tough stuff so you to be able to take it to pen for as long as they did was good signs now you know we got to acknowledge that you know clear went off it was in the first half wasn’t it so they were down they were down their main man most part yeah most part of of the game so you got to acknowledge that um but you know there there are some good signs from that footy club that that they are building potentially for something really special in the coming years uh the surfing night says boys after the weekend round does Bradman best get a look in for origin well he is an incumbent and um he was very good in in game three last year and hasn’t set the world on fire but that doesn’t mean you don’t pick him for origin but he was he was outstanding I I was in Tamworth Cam and I covered that game and Bradman best was at his really as good as I’ve seen him this year and well that’s what you you you’ve got a lot of um names to pick from in that sort of outside backs sort of positions haven’t you like you’ve got kryon best low Max is playing well s Ley there’s a lot of lot of names there that you could go to um but yeah he um radman like you he got that opportunity in in game three last year and and he played extremely well so he could be there again he could be there and he’s he’s a great ball Runner great ball Runner just so hard to handle when he’s on yeah that was evident on the weekend we’ll have a pull up your socks moment for underworks after the break also on the text Barry D says that Johan Johnson was injured before the chicken wing I mean the chicken wing well if it was a chicken wing it wouldn’t have helped but he’s saying there was an injury there he was inconvenience for a fair deal of the game thank you Barry D for the text keep them coming in
