The PGA TOUR returns to Colonial Country Club this week for the Charles Schwab Challenge – the longest-running TOUR event among non-majors held annually at the same site. This is the 78th edition, but it’s the first time it’s being presented after its huge restoration over the past year. World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler will be in the field this week. Scheffler recorded his 10th top-10 finish in 11 events so far in 2024 at the PGA Championship. The Texas native has also had great success here, claiming T3 and T2 in the last two years. Collin Morikawa returns fresh off a T4 at the PGA Championship. Since a T3 at the Masters six weeks ago, he’s reemerged as a persistent force with three top-10s and another two top-25s. He’s also never missed the cut at the Charles Schwab Challenge, with his highest-ever finish coming in 2020 when he finished runner-up. Texas native Jordan Spieth will also tee it up in his home state this week. He’s seen success here in previous years with a win in 2016, two second place finishes and another four top-10s. Others to look out for are Tony Finau, Max Homa, Justin Rose and Tom Kim.

to this Spider Mallet putter it’s happening because of the uh thicker IM met rough at the first 66 yesterday Keegan Bradley six under par four back of the lead looking to make it birdie here at one K and Bradley trying to make that birdie to get within three and he does great start great read and just perfect dying speed yeah that’s really nicely done if that part stays as hot as it was right there helping you see the trajectory of that golf ball from Davis Riley is our Tracer by trackman really high boy what a great start Curry how about those swings those were confident swings a high draw with the three iron boy that was pretty 129 here for Tony and this is a livee that’s sitting down this could come out kind of diving on you and that’s what it’s done now starting to drop quickly going to land short of the green relying on the release he got it he got it and it’s getting a whole lot better Johnny I mean what a golf shot by T two in a row for big tone sure why not to Fourth approach a good look at birdie scottty sheffer’s got a great look how about this one from about 4 feet above the hole little bit slick is he needed to make a p he’s had some good looks what a start for Davis Riley two under path through four make that three under three5 unbelievable start thank you very much Jim now the second shot of the overnight leader Davis Riley another tremendous drive just over 80 yards left for his second Frank his first 36 all lead it’s been a wonderful start 30’s at one two so get another booty here at Six Raleigh oh [Applause] tremendous red to Perfection and another birdie beautifully played another great iron shot for Davis Riley the last two or 3 weeks he’s getting us used to those changes there you go five underpath through eight holes for Davis Riley back at the 11th live with Tony fow just a little bump and run up there beyond the flag and over to 11 with Fen now as he hit it yes yes kind of breathing on it to make sure that it gets there down the hill that was nice Tony at 18 Colin morawa got a chance to do something here mhm made a ton of Threes on this second n and there’s another Beauty yeah got a great chance chance at another three yeah Keegan Bradley just well down below the ball here that usually comes out a little left rolling balls above the feet like that he’ll be happy try and get the the speed to match the line beautifully done good up and down first major winner with belly putter Trevor it is so impressive to watch him work held his driver up into this right left wi then used it to draw it towards this location and birdie birdie time it is and a tie for second for Scotty sheffler cross to 13 different side of the spectrum outside the 120 on the FedEx Cup at the moment Robbie Shelton but he’s going to have this for three in a row great shot after that opening round of 72 shiffler was tied 79th this one is pass moving to his right Frank grab it and now he’s second what a move watched him warm up today he and you were there I mean it was just a clinic Smith was there every step of the way he knew his man was ready today great two one finish so far this year outside the top 10 center of the Fairway for Scotty and he drove it way down there just a gap wedge this is right at him and needs to [Music] sip oh it has C about 15 or 18 ft behind the hole just continues to give himself good looks this one down the hill putter [Applause] R when he puts well you cannot beat him he’s the best in the world at everything in the game Robbie Shelton made two at 13 make two here at 16 Front flag oh
