72 today that’s two over and he’s currently tied for 80th at 132 player field low 65 and ties will make the cut fully expect Scotty to get it in gear tomorrow played reasonably well couple of top fives in his last two starts at this tournament has not yet won it does have one victory in the Lone Star State that came couple of years ago at the match played down in Austin when he ascended to number one in the world so what’s your sense as to what’s going on here uh I mean he’s had a lot going on the last couple weeks birth of his son uh just about two weeks ago and then everything that went on at the PGA and him trying to win that golf tournament I think he’s got to be a little tired um maybe somewhat surprised he’s playing this week and and then everything Weighing on his mind I mean I know he’s spoken about uh the severity of these charges and and what faces in front of him if he has to go to trial that’s H you know for someone who has never probably been in trouble his whole life even as a kid it it’s gota it’s got to put you in a different mindset Plus this afternoon the wind gusted it was blowing gusting up to 25 miles an hour it would lay down and gust I think that’s what happened to him on 18 it’s just a bad day we all have them it’s just we’re not used to seeing Scotty sheffler go shoot a bad round of 72 uh you know Milano gilo defending Champion had a bad day Maxa had a really bad day 78 he he couldn’t couldn’t hit the fairways had the rights going so I I think this is I don’t think we’re going to read anything into this for Scot it was just it was just a bad ball strike striking day and a couple short par putut misses but he knows with a lead only at five under one good round and he’s right back in it tomorrow which I think that Birdie on 17 was huge for him just to finish on a positive note there finishing that back nine and right I mean going out in the morning if the wind isn’t blowing Scotty has the ability to go tear this place up and and be right back in it in one round and and I’m I’m pretty confident that’s what we’ll see out of the world number one tomorrow
