Nelly cord’s golf swing is picturesque it’s simple and smooth athletic and graceful it’s even gotten the attention of some of the best male golfers in the world I think we’ve all seen the golf swing we talk about we talked about her all day as I walked down the range nny cter is the one about look like I don’t know how she does not win every week swing it swing it like Nelly swinging like Nolly I think I called her the Tiger Woods of the LPGA tour at one point but yeah it’s it’s pretty special stuff yet lost in the beauty of Nelly’s silky golf swing is a small and subtle move an interesting detail which often goes Overlook but one that you can learn a lot from if you look closely you can even spot it in other great players as golf swings and over the past few months it’s helped Propel Nelly to one of the most dominant stretches of golf we’ve ever seen a row let’s take a closer look [Music] ask any coach what the worst piece of golf swing advice they hear is and there’s a good chance they’ll say it’s golfers trying to keep their head down and still keep your head down when you swing this is some of the worst advice here’s some advice I see does more damage to students than it h I must have heard this about a million times and it’s just not true sure you don’t want your head sliding all over the place during your golf swing it’s hard to be consistent that way but when you try to actively lock your head in one place as as you swing it can really hurt your lower back it can stop you from turning and it can cause you to get flippy with your hands on the down swing in short it’s no good just ask Johnny Miller you’ve been taught to keep your head down and keep your head still and swing like this I don’t know if you ever noticed but the tur players do not do that which brings us to another all-time great ball Striker Nelly cter and the interesting way her head moves as she swings what her right here as she turns powerfully into her Trail hip on the back swing notice how Nelly allows her head to move subtly back and around with it there’s no tension between her head and her upper body as she turns in that same Johnny Miller video we showed earlier Miller talks about how important this move is in his own golf s he says that your head should turn with the other parts of your body and that’s what Nelly does she lets every part of her turn blow together when you measure Nelly in the sportsbox 3D app it says that Nelly’s head moves back and around about 3 in during her back swing when you look from this angle it gives her body this kind of shape you may also notice that as Nelly makes this move it kind of her head down towards her right shoulder which closes her shoulders and tilts her ey line out to the right Rory maroy actually does a similar move in his switch and there’s a good reason for it Nelly and Rory both hit drawers so as they transition from back swing to down swing they position their upper body so they’re pointing out to the right of their target why because that’s the direction they’re going to swing the club on the way through once Nelly creates this C shape with her body with her head slightly over her right leg Nelly begins driving her lower body towards the Target by the time she arrives at impact she has that same shape it’s important because this body shape gives Nelly the side Bend she needs to avoid hitting too much down on the ball which is one of the reasons why she’s such a good allaround driver of the ball since the LPGA began keeping shot data in 2022 Nelly ranks first second and first in Strokes gained off the tea among the top 50 players on tour a few months ago we did a video about why this kind of side Bend is important but can cause back injuries if you overdo it when you bend and rotate a lot it squeezes two discs in your lower back to the point where they start rubbing together that’s what causes back pain but that’s mostly a problem caused by rotating a lot as you bend because you’re trying to use your body to move the club back over to the left but Nelly doesn’t really do this not as much because she bends more than she rotates which as golf dig just best in state teacher Jeff Smith says is a common formula you see in players who tend to hit draws that move from right to left Rory does it and Nelly does it too Nelly turns her upper body back then as she drives her hips forward you can see her head hang back slightly too that allows her to throw her arms out to the right in the same direction her head is pointing which helps her create that into out path for her go-to bullet drawer again there’s no sign of different parts of her body working against each other Nell’s club and body move in the same direction she’s releasing the club with her body and her wrists and her arms fully and freely like a race car making that last turn before accelerating down the home straight and that’s the key by not locking her head in place during her swing by allowing herself to swing with freedom and flow Nelly has created a way of unlocking her potential it produces consistent long t-shots and if her recent form is anything to go by it produces plenty of wins tooa captures the Chron championship and she just refuses to lose right now

YES!
Bradley Shanks has the best swing in golf
Do you have an email I can reach out to?
Is This The Best Swing In Golf? Nope. Patty Tavatanakit has a better swing. All the hype because she is American.
Best probably not. She admits that she can't fade the ball, and when she tried it screwed up her swing for six months. That said, it is one of the soundest, simplest repeatedly reliable swings that any golfer would be glad to have. It is a gorgeous swing. She is a gifted golfer and a genuinely nice woman.
It is the BEST swing!!!
Nelly has a swing that Ben Hogan would be proud of!
Looks like she's keeping her head on the ball to me.
Yes.
Is this all you got? Head bobbing is why she’s great? Worthless video made to sound sophisticated by a funky accent. More golf bs pseudo science.
