Was Golf A Cool Sport in the 70s?

Golf, as it was seen in the 1970s, was more of a game rather than a sport.

Fast forward to today, and golf has evolved into a full-fledged sport.

But John Erickson argues that the essence of golf, at its core, should remain a game.

It’s about the strategy, the skill, and the spirit of the game, not just the distance you can drive the ball.

If you’ve been feeling a little intimidated by the modern golf scene, just remember – it’s not about how far you can hit, but how well you can play.

golf when I was growing up in the 1970s it was a different kind of a sport the pros were wearing checkered slacks and stuff or whatever it wasn’t really a cool sport you weren’t cool you didn’t walk around high school with a I’m on the golf team the state the game to me hasn’t changed in my mind I still believe that golf should be more of a game than a sport I think golf’s turned into a sport if you look at the golfers now they all look like linebackers or whatever and they’re super fit when I was growing up golf was more of a game if you could hit the ball 235 yards off the two you could now be in the game
